Soldier: "Napoleon, ze Alps are too high and the Russians are burning all our shelter."

Napoleon: "ZE ALPS TO TALL?! NONSENCE, NOTHING IS TOO TALL FOR ME."

I thought it was the french spirit to hold thier hands above thier head and taunt from the ramparts at english-types.

Anyone remember Jackie, the girl who auditioned for Mystic Girl, was my girl-on-the-side, then girlfriend for about 4 months, who eventually left me to get with some punk jackass who was struggling in high school?

Well, it's been almost 3 years since I made mention of her on the forums. After talking with her on MSN for the first time in about six months, I found out that after string of abusive and sexually based relationships, she got knocked up. Then had an abortion. All before she told the father, because he was going to jail about a week and a half from the day she aborted the fetus. She can really pick em'.

Lucas thinks he dodged one HELL of a bullet. Seems like karma really does work in mysterious ways.

Did she start the chat with: "Surprised to see me?"

+Rep to the one that gets the refernce first.

Sounds more like you dodged a piston strike from The Jackie (Chan).
lame pun is lame >.>
In other news, 12 hour workdays are not my favorite thing in the world. I think I might be working 16 hours on friday and saturday because Sir Douchebag over here wants to call in sick for a week because of a cold. Apparently he has a doctor's note though so that makes it ok.

...I'll stop before this turns into a rant.

And you work at Toys R Us, don't you? God help ya, man, I feel your pain. I bitch about 8 hours on the registers (usually because about hour 5 my throat starts to seize from having to ask so many goddam questions to every freaking customer.) but 12 should be illegal. Good luck and here's hoping you don't have the extended shifts.

No I think that's avatar. I actually have kind of a coushy job, I work in a swanky electronics store that sells massage things and little gadgets like remote control helicopters and projection clocks (Brookstone if you've ever heard of it) so yeah I'm on my feet all day but it's not too bad. Plus I get payed extra for overtime hours so I'm not complaining too loudly.

Since I can't get Dragon Age to run for the life of me, and I'd probably have to get a new graphics card (Bioware seems to despise nvidia's Series 8 for some reason) until they come out with a new driver that actually fixes that problem I'm going back to play Mass Effect now. I've heard it actually runs now with those new drivers. Here's hoping. If you hear of a murder spree in the German Alps you know it didn't work.

its a fantastic game to be sure, but it still falls into the old bioware hole of you can easily forget to play it for a few months.

The game plays very similarly to the old Baldur Gate games on PC. Especially if you get Dragon Age for the PC.

Re: Member Announcements Thread

12 hour shifts? Yeah, those can be tough. Especially when it's repetitive mind and body crushing factory work. Anyone else ever done or beaten an 84 hour week though? As in 12 hours, every day, for a month. Plus an hours cycle ride on either end of the shift to get there and back.

Tottaly illegal on the employers side, but the agency offered the work, so I took it and decided to tough it out. A roast potato and chip factory doesn't sound too bad in words, but it's the closest to hell on earth I've seen. You kind of forget the rest of the world exists for a while.
