VN/TEXT RPG Active NTR [Makura cover soft] Dungeon and Bride


Is there any way to give equipment to Rufus or anything?

He's hangin around with his noodle out now and i'm not playin this to see that.

Edit: nvm, it took a few days but he got his shit together.

You cannot give anything directly to Rufus the guest NPC.
You can repair his equipment by using "Repair set", that cost $45000 in the item shop.
You can also "repair" his equipment by making him completely naked first, and put him in a room that charge fee in the inn. He will receive a new set to equip afterward.

I don't think i ever put him in a room. The first time i went into the inn and tried to give him a room the game gave me a message i clicked through too quickly, and assumed his Guest-Character status made him stay in the barn or something.

It did seem to take an extra night or two for him to reequip himself.

....and fuck spending 45000 bucks to cover up his floppy dong when he's got such a ridiculous amount of HP.

Is the demo level capped to 10? or is there something that needs to be done specifically to go beyond 10?

He's just picky about who he sleeps with. You can't room him with other guys. But you can room him by himself. He'll always room with whichever girl he has the highest affinity with. He'll usually room with the other girls too, but not always, not sure what it's determined by.

Yes, the demo is level capped to 10.

Commenting on 1.09. I was kind of hoping he'd make it so you can't equip shields with 2handed weapons, so I could get a better feel for overall balance. Kind of weird to equip a shield with a bow for example, lol. Other than that, I think the demo is in good enough shape now that he should go back to working on the full game. Because going by past experience, it's still probably not to close to release.

Btw, what kind of personality do you think Rufus will be overall?

The bits we can see in the demo imply he is terrible at communicating and a bit of racist, but considering he have sex with the girls it feel like he might be one of those 'raised in racist family, unsure how to adjust into not being racist because pride' type that in a story would ends up either:
1. dead protecting the non-human waifu
2. renounce his title to marry his waifu
3. have a sort of twisted relation where publicly they're master and slave but she's his special slave that he definitely treat way better than others

Max (the elf guy) is just openly pervert horndog that win girls over through sheer straightforwardness and determination, and also of consensual romance type (one of the his event with gnome girl is him consulting the MC on how to get over the issue that the gnome girl is so afraid of him that he can't make any progress in befriending them)

A shield and bow isn't something you often see in games, but it is historically accurate. Longbowmen often had bucklers and small shields in case they found themselves in melee combat, and crossbowmen used pavise's for shelter (a pavise is a large-to-huge shield that you stick into the ground to create shelter). I'm pretty sure there's references to similar stuff in earlier history as well, but I'd have to check that.

@lazycat: It strikes me that the racist aspect of Rufus won't be significant to his story arc, because Rufus might end up with a human, and then the racist parts of it wouldn't matter - and given that this would lead to two arcs for Rufus depending on if he's with a human or not, that might be too much stuff to implement. Unless, of course, Rufus gets coded to not sleep with a human for this reason. My suspicion is that Rufus's difficulty in communicating might get played up in the final version and through the story it becomes clear that while he appears somewhat OK at first, this is because he doesn't express his views clearly and upon getting to know him he's a real nasty piece of work i.e. a fairly typical NTR-villain.

Plausible but considering you get to pick who room with who it's hard to feel NTR from a party member (unless he's only here for testing guest NPCs and in full game he's got his own party)
Not to mention you can literally create a girl to pair with them if they can only sleep with a fuckable partner (who doesn't even need to be used for dungeon delving either)

It's just that considering the whole love meter aspect I feel like this game can do Fire Emblem-ish varied endings for each character depending on who they have relation with.

Sure the circle is heavily bias to NTR but in the current state of the system the only real NTR is the Duel with other parties, your own party is basically a bachelor party looking for someone to marry.
 
@lazycat: Yeah, I've said before that I don't think there'll be huge amounts to NTR in this game, because the primary driver of NTR is essentially scarcity of desirable female characters, which doesn't really apply here. The Inn system might put some spin on it, but it seems unlikely. However, just because NTR isn't as big an aspect of the game, it doesn't mean that characters won't follow NTR-style archetypes, and for whatever reason I get that kind of feeling from Rufus. Maybe it's just something about his character design reminding me of Falcon from Leane 1 - not sure.

While I haven't played the game, I'm sure it is possible to make the MC get into a relationship with a girl and then have her cuck him. Sure you have to go out of your way to create the NTR but that is true of the previous games as well. Also, while the player may be trying to get the NTR to trigger, the MC himself is not.

But sure, you can create a girl just to pair her with one of other guys and just call it all vanilla I guess. If vanilla floats your boat, go for it. Me, I'm here for the NTR.
 
I'm wondering how many named or unique girls you'll get as part of the story, if any. It probably wouldn't take many to have enough to pair off a girl for each guy, without even creating girls. I get the feeling unique girls might just be guests though. So far only Milady and Loretta have been shown, and Loretta has been shown as a guest character with Blue. Milady is described as being a member of another party, and there hasn't been any screenshots showing her as a guest or party member.

From the screenshots, the girls will be able to build up affinity and have sex with Blue, but he comes with his own girl, Loretta, so maybe you can just keep her paired with him. Going through their old log there's 2 more: Lizel? another newbie human girl with confidence issue after getting kicked out of another party and Maria, dwarf girl who is her friend and see herself as needing to protect her friend.

So right now at least 9 potential individual endings (4 unique girls, 5 racial ones)
 
Does anyone know how characters learn skills?
Not spells or new attacks but skills from the status screen.
 
Is there any info on whether or not Rufus is going to be in the main game as a guest at the start or if he'll be off on his own, or if he'll start as a guest and some trigger (opinion of the mc/story/certain floor reached/having his armor damaged to full destruction) will cause him to leave?

honestly, I actually never enjoyed any actual wizardry games before (not that i'd tried a lot), because the beginnings were terribly rough to get started, but just having Rufus as a crutch for those first few levels (mostly just as another attack and meatshield), so his villainous looking ass really eased up on the difficulty just right for me.... and probably the drops selling much better than anything i remember.

....unless you count EO games as wizardry, then those were always fun.

As this is just a demo, we don't know what will happen to Rufus.

That description makes it sound like he's a mandatory part of the story, maybe even the driving force behind it.

That sounds like some decision will determine if he leaves or not, but that he's a guarantee for the start. I can't imagine he's helping out just to be a bully or something, i wonder if we'll have to hand over a certain amount of loot or cash (or women, considering the genre...) to him every so often for his "services".
