My game is installed on a SSD and won't get past this screen. After 10+ minutes, if I press the ESC key, it'll start running again but then get stuck again later on a similar message. Any idea what to do here?

It's data being loaded I guess. The Japanese there means xxx.arc has been read and loaded. This window can't be closed or your game will be closed, too. I guess it's log or something similar.

Don't click on the console because it will pause loading.
If you see Select in the console title then it's paused. Hit space or enter to resume. Long loading times are normal.

Hello, dumb person here. I'm having trouble locating the COM3D2_ROOT folder as stated in the guide. I don't know where to put the English translation for the game.

Edit: NVM, I'm being a dummy.

Edit: I thought I figured it out but how do I make the plugins and translations to work? I copied the files on the root folder but it's not working when launching the game.

For now, trace back your steps and try to follow the guide more carefully. Take a look at the tutorial images. What exactly is not working ? Send a screenshot of COM3D2 folder, bepinex, sybaris, Mod (and put them in spoilers).
If you copied the i18nEx folder (ported translation) you need to set system and subtitle language to English only from the game settings.

Thanks! I got the translations to work. My only issue is there's always a pop-up error that appears whenever I try to customize my character. The game also freezes then crashes sometimes if I pick certain items on the customization menu.

Sorry for the inconvenience, this is my first time installing COM3D2.

Make sure you link CM to COM correctly and install all the costume dlc.
Reinstall CMI using Noctsoul preset. Let CMI do the cleanup. Reinstall the other modules from the guide. The game folder doesn't look good at all. You have both Sybaris and BepInEx installed ant they conflict with each other. You can only have one, preferably BepInEx. If you install modpack make sure you have the latest R4 beta03. Delete everything from Mod folder before you upgrade modpack.

Where is CM3D2_ROOT? Does it just mean the main directory of an actual folder name that, cause I don't have it. I have the Custom Maid Ultimate - Summer 2020 Edition btw. I also have a black screen (with fps counter & setting button, it also doesnt have sound) when I try to run COM3D2 as it says in step 2, I know it says how to fix it in the FAQ but I haven't even gotten to that step yet.

I'm terribly sorry if this is inappropriate, but could someone please answer this question? The Summer 2020 edition does not have a folder called "CM3D2_ROOT". Is it merely the root folder? (Other than that, the guide is absolutely insane, so many man-hours spent for the good of the people all over the world.)

If you read the glossary it explains what C(O)M3D2_ROOT is. Yes it's just the root folder but it was easier for me to write it that way instead of repeating "copy to the root of COM3D2 folder" so many times.

Thank you so much! Ah yeah, the glossary... This guide is so expansive. Still, is there a reason for writing it like this? It can easily be mistaken from a folder name. I guess, my case can be a contribution to understanding the mind of a reader at my level.

You have to read everything to understand how things work. If you skip through chapters you will miss important parts such as dlc updates.
As for naming it like that it just made sense to me because it is technically a variable that differs from one user to another. Not everybody installs it in the same place. The images should have been self explanatory.

Anyone is this ok?I paused the download and turned off my pc.In the morning when i resumed the download it suddenly became like this.As you can see the downloaded file is higher than the general one.It was the same from when i left it off but it becomes different when i resumed it.Can anyone help me?I'll really appriciate it.Thanks for reading!

I can't diagnose anything from that image. Are you worried that the number in the downloaded line is different that the total size done line? If so just ignore that.

The DLC pastebin names dont seems to fit the names the dlc checker gives.

i try to play event named 'NPC Maid Secretary Pounding Nudist Camp Introduction' but it's always makes the game crashed.

also whenever i start event with requirement 'Custom made 3d2 ak pack trial version' for some reason the game run fine but the voice actor is different from character, the character is maria seido(default muku) but the VA is someone i never know.

did i miss something?
i'm just starting and still at day 1. doing event to check if i mess up my game thus 1 met with those problem. also my game version is updated to v 1.55 in case this information is needed.
Any help would be much appreciated

It says it can't find serious personality which is weird because it is one of the 3 main personalities. You can't possibly be missing it. Are there any other red errors before this ? At loading I mean. Where did you get the game from ? Did you install all the dlc ? Does it work without mods and plugins (move winhttp.dll out of the game folder to test it) ? Did you use MaidFiddler to mess with the game ? Did you extract any dlc or update directly in the game folder ?
