Like the old hentai key girl games? Those were nice, i dont know why he changed from that, maybe there were too many animations and it made it too long to finish the flashes?

I s'pose it's trying different things and fiddling with new shit learned, and stuff? I couldn't actually say which would be less work, though, but I want to say ye old format. Mostly because I wish he'd go back to it.

I've come to realize HKG5 was really Zone's magnum opus and he isn't even going to try and surpass it. Nothing truly memorable has happened since.

HKG5 was awesome (Dat nipple pulling and anal though), I still go back and watch it sometimes but I loved the Bioshock and Skullgirls animation too. I think he was getting paid for the HentaiKey stuff, not so much the future stuff he's done? I do hope he does a more interactive flash like the HentaiKey Girl stuff, I do miss that. How many times I've watched his Umeko Vampire, Reiko Biker Girl, Midna and HentaiKey Girl stuff...
I have no basis for this assumption, but I think maybe he got upset by all the people editing his interactive stuff? I've never seen so many game edits/rip offs before. Pretty sure some of them even try to make money off of it. That'd piss me off anyways. They basically just trace over his animations. They don't do that really with his less interactive stuff, I haven't seen any copies of them anyways.

I see it as an evolution. The interactive flashes like Hentai Key Girl and Ghost in the Shell were great at the time, but they were rather simplistic. Also, they are a very common type of hentai flash. Lots of people make stuff that's identical (but lower quality in most cases).
I'm not saying they those old flash games were inferior. I enjoyed Zone's early stuff as much as I enjoy the new stuff. Its just obvious that Zone wants to take the content in creative directions.
I will say that I'm not much of a fan of the loops in general. It seems like they still take a lot of development time but don't leave a lasting impression.
As for the favorites from Zone since the stuff was mostly interactive flashes:
Elizabeth, Midna, Juri, What What in the Robot, Jinxed, and Modifuckrs
