We've got an update

finished the text of Diary, side quest, Game Over scene, Main Story, and some Bad Ends
Diary has been fully impelled into the game ( as shown here )
ciensmp small.png
( this looks like a new area, there are Sakura trees in the background )
you'll find the collected diaries in the 2nd floor alongside with weapon/enemy story

will be finishing the Main Story scenes, namely the animations, and those of the side events
( he was saying that he's considering not to have a main story in his next game, probably due to how much work has to be done )
as for the Bad Ends, they are basically continuation of the current Game Over scenes
and said that it'll "probably" not force you to have a Bad End ( referring to the choices you made during the main story I guess? not very sure about this )

the Karma value ( which is in the game for 0.54 ) will go up regardless of the things you do is good or bad
obviously it will be different values, but every choice you make, rescues, strong enemy defeated, reading diaries, will all affect your Karma

and some sad news
the 淫乱値 system, which literally means how lewd Aradia is, will be removed from the game for now
planned to add it back in future updates with events or something, but overall not very certain about this

the current themes will ( mostly ) be replaced by original soundtracks, and by this point some are already finished
( the theme used before are free-to-use stuff )
the composer will be introduce to us afterwards

and finally the BIG NEWS:
"I often get questions from overseas, but I would like to release the Steam version if it can be released."

What's the ETA on the release window? And do you think we will get Steam/GOG/English version of the game? Future Fragments is on Steam after all...

Unfortunately there is no ETA mentioned in the note
I do hope that it'll make it on Steam, although a proper English version would probably require a translator, since D-Lis is not good enough in translating

If I had to guess, the "bad ends" are either endings after the final bosses based on karma value, or early endings in some levels based on karma value.
I imagine anyone that goes for 90%+ completion will get a good ending no matter what. I can already think of a few enemies that would give positive karma, like the secret butcher, the blacksmith sidequest, and how some bosses are just optional.
On top of that, rescuing witches often gives new spells, so anyone playing for the first time would save them to get new toys to play with.
I hope there's at least more dialogue choices to lose karma with, or repeatable events that tank it, because otherwise it will be difficult to not have high karma.

And do you think we will get Steam/GOG/English version of the game?
The blog post very specifically said, even in english, that he wants it on Steam.

I was thinking the same thing, but he specifies that Karma values go up no matter the choice you make, just in different values
unless one is like 10 times higher than the other, it is possible that we'll have to ignore events on purpose to reach endings other than the "true" one

I don't think he meant "even in English", but he does hope to put it on Steam

Whenever the full game comes out this is going to be amazing! These bad ends have got me really interested, I wonder how many are gonna end up being in the game. Gotta say, really looking forward to this!

So the original "Karma" idea in the mockup HUD looks like this. You can see it's on the bottom left, named " カルマ ."
My assumptions were written with that in mind, and I still speculate it's the same; just an evil and good slider like it's a 2005 western rpg.

I guess it would depend on what he means by "forced." It could be like post-SotN Castlevania where the true end had to be triggered in a specific way. But as long as you explored, talked to people and paid attention you could get it, even if you ignored all of that until the end-game. No need for NG+ or starting a new game. You're never really locked-in to the bad end but you are likely to get it first since the finer details of how to get it will probably go over your head on the first playthrough. Then you have 90s pixel-hunt adventure games. Where you could totally could screw yourself into a bad end without knowing all because you picked up a can beans too early. Now that save file is boned and you gotta load one of your back-ups.
Honestly I don't think I care all that much since I'd replay the game just to see how the Karma system plays out in each playthrough. It's a shame that the lewdness mechanic had to be axed(at least for now) but it makes sense. Something like that has a good chance of doubling his work. At best he'd need an extra set of dialogue for each major stage of lewdness and maybe some animation tweaks for each set sex animations. At worst it could mean a new set of animations for each stage plus all of the extra dialogue. The implications for this system are massive and it probably hit him once he realized how much time and effort he put in on just the "base set."
Oh well. Aradia has plenty going on, already. Maybe, with the experience of this game under his belt he can learn how really streamline his workflow and build some really interesting and interconnected animation networks for the next. The Nejicomi Sim games come to mind. Imagine an H-ACT game with an animation system like the Nejicomi sims. That's the dream, fellas.

I just wonder if there will be a madlad out there mad enough to pull it off?

Speaking of Nejicomi sim: Aradia should totally guest in one. They already did a crossover with Oneone1. Maybe if Night of Revenge is fairly popular we could see one with Aradia?

Interesting, I totally forgot about this
since there is no such Karma meter thing in later versions ( at least not in 0.54 ), but the column is still there

I would guess it works like the first one you mentioned, you'll get the "true ending" so long as you play the game the intended way

I've been told that the word "Karma" is usually interpreted as a negative thing, the consequences of your action
so I was guessing that, since the title is "Revenge", the Karma meter resembles how far you've walk down the path of vengeance
( hope that there will be no Greek God popping out to tell Aradia that he had been though this and find no peace in it )
kind of like the Devil horn on Boss's forehead in MGSV, which grows in size as you cause unnecessary casualties in your playthrough
but consider the fact that rescuing others making it go up as well, this probably doesn't make a lot of sense

Nice transparency with the dress. Though I can't help but wonder if the artist knows she's from an H-game.

How do I translate the game to English through the MEGA download version?

Can you translate the Japanese into English in ver.0.14?
