What's new

RPG Shota [62studio] 鏡の淫魔と悪魔のタネ/Demon in Wonderland

The demo will be released to paying supporters end of September, then to the public later. It'll have 9-10 succubi including a boss, Invy of Envy. But the production of M Galaxy might delay this.

Yeah apparently they're mostly focusing on M Galaxy this month? Strange. I wonder if that's because LustGrimm Again came out 13 months ago, they're trying to avoid that again and aim to release Demon in Wonderland and M Galaxy in closer proximity to each other. Since Covid hit, they're understandably taking a lot longer to release games than they used to. I think there was over a year wait between Succubus in Wonderland and LustGrimm Again.

I think a previous schedule mentioned that they would release the full version of M Galaxy before the full version of Demon in Wonderland. Not sure why. Maybe M Galaxy will take less time since others are contributing to it, so they hope to get it out of the way first.

Oh I missed that announcement. I assumed Demon in Wonderland was coming out first because they've been talking about that way more and releasing demos, while M Galaxy has received much less attention.

New Ci-en article:
- Shipping of the Bosewicht boob mousepads is finished.
- A new collaborator for Demon in Wonderland is introduced, kanikamaworks (Kanikama Works?).

- At the end is an interview with the two members of kanikamaworks.

Demo's out for the low, low price of 100 yen. Haven't tried it yet but new additions apparently include a selection of seawater succubi and Envy Strikes Back. As Green Thoughts said above, it'll be made available to everyone in late Sept.

This was also discussed above, but M Galaxy's going to be the circle's focus moving forward. Demon in Wonderland's being put on the back-burner for now and there's no release date currently set for it.

Downloading it now.

It's a good thing I finished Lust Friend's translation already. I'll release an updated translation for this game as soon as possible (and I'll make a dedicated translation thread when that happens).

i don't get it, how am i suppose to dwoload the version 0.02?

Really struggling with Textractor with this one. I mean it works, but not as well as it used to. I've done a lot of exploring, but I still haven't figured out what to do with the SP-EXP bar at the top left. I'm guessing it's resources to spend on leveling up, but I haven't figured out how to do it.

There's a magic circle in the beach town that warps you to Cheshire Cat. You can exchange a full SP-EXP bar with her for a ticket which in turn can be exchanged for other things with her. Possibly there're other uses for SP-EXP but I'm not really poking around the demo much more to find out (would rather wait for the full game).

Ah okay, I'll check that out thanks!

By the way, the changes made in Version 0.02 are: typo fixes, fixes for recovery amounts of some items, fixes for how weak points are displayed, the removal of the story goal display, a fix for the conditions for befriending Deep Sea Succubus, and a temporary way to refight Invy of Envy.

If you're a Ci-en supporter, you can download the game from near the bottom of this page:

Alright with this demo we finally have a decent sized taste of what the game will be like, so I thought I'd share my thoughts.

What I like:
  • 62Studio has always improved their artstyle with each new entry, and the same is true for Demon in Wonderland. And with the new version of RPGmaker, it looks and feels great. The battle effects are beautiful.
  • The Friend system is about as simplistic as LustFriend, but I chalk that up to a good thing. I don't think players would want to spend a lot of time trying to recruit just one Succubus.
  • The world feels pretty big this time. I'm assuming there's going to be at least 7 bosses since they the Seven Deadly Sin Succubi from Puttel. So 7 main areas on the map all leading to a dungeon and boss. There's a town center in the middle that seems to become populated when you recruit Succubi, leading to shops opening up. This gives incentive to recruit all of them.
  • I like the new artist that was brought in so far.
  • I was under the impression that there'd be one h-scene per Succubi, but I've come across 3 Succubi that had two scenes each. Which is great if we get quantity and quality.

What I'm concerned with:

  • I'm getting a bit of Succubus Puttel 1.0 vibes with the leveling. The experience scaling with the succubi as they go up in level is a touch low. The exp gain needs to be buffed a bit, at the moment it feels grindy. I'm assuming the SP-EXP and Chesire Cat is a method to acquire level eggs and boost your level, but there are other things you can spend your Chesire Tickets on, so fighting still seems like the primary method of leveling.
  • They seemed to ditch the Skill/Talent tree system from Succubus in Wonderland for the more simplistic "Gain skills as you level" approach. I personally like Skill/Talent trees can I have freedom to choose how I grow stronger, but we'll see how it plays out in the full game.
  • Textractor does no work well with the version of RPGmaker they're using now. Not the devs fault, but it takes a lot more management than before, and even then it doesn't work as well as before.

What I've yet to figure out:
  • You seem to get reward items in your Key Item section, when you befriend a Succubus. I haven't yet figured out what they do.
  • I can't seem to let my party member Level Drain me. I know there's an option for it in the Crystal, but it doesn't seem to work. I'm wondering if it's just an unavailable option in the demo.

The Level Drain system is not yet put in yet.

Though with that said, we should put in the enemies guide in the wiki as well as how to befriend them. It'll help people out when they're struggling.

New Ci-en article with lots of info on this game:
- The trial version that's coming out later for the public will be Version 3.0. There'll also be a 3.0+ for paying supporters. Both versions will fix bugs, adjust balance, allow save data to be transferred to the full game, and add purchasable items that improve the items you can collect on the map (not sure on this one). 0.3+ will also add a map event and some other (undecided) thing.
- Some random trivia about this game:
* Pillow Talk has different dialogue in Mirror Space compared to in normal battles
* Enemies have battle lines depending on whether your ally's bust size is bigger or smaller than theirs
* Dark succubi may drop level-up items
* Premature ejaculation happens if Reto is reduced to 0 Vigor on the first turn of battle
* Enemies' lines when doing follow-up puff-puff or breastfeeding attacks are different if the target has Breast Addict
* Something may happen if you choose your current location at a Courier Station
* Each enemy has 6 different lines for when Reto ejaculates in battle
- Status ailments with a grey heart mark are permanent, persisting even after touching Cheshire Crystals
- There's a rough sketch of the Milk Succubus

- Finally, there's a schedule of future plans: CG preview in first few days of September, release of Versions 0.3 and 0.3+ in late September

Do we know if they're aiming for a full release this year?

There's more info already:
- A reminder that Demon in Wonderland's trial version is out, plus it'll be released to the public at the end of the month.
- Some info on how the trial version differs from the final version, like requiring you to progress through areas in a specific order.
- 62studio will focus on M Galaxy for this month. Its trial version will let you explore 3 planets.

- Finally, there's previews of succubi to appear in DIW, including the Lethargic Succubus.

Recruit the slug girl. Apsy-somthingorother. Gotta equip the slimy bracelet before fighting her. Once that's done she'll reside in the hospital of Mirror Town.
