SIM [KISS] Custom Order Maid 3D2 + Modpack R4.10 [JAP version][VJ013971]

I downloaded the first torrent CM3D2 1.70.9 & COM3D2 2.29.4 + DLC (up to 05.2023) (VANILLA REPACK) 237 gb
But the game is in Japanese. What should I do to translate it to English?

(its written in the guide that the guide is for english version [COM3D2_EN] Custom Order Maid 3D2 English Vanilla Repack R8 104gb)

if that guide says that it is written for English Vanilla Repack R8 then why did you download the Japanese version from OP? What are you even doing here?
For jap version everything you need to know is in the OP and 2nd post. Read the master guide and then ask questions in private if you need anything clarified.
This thread is for troubleshooting japanese COM3D2 only, not for spoon feeding install instructions. Please do not bring English version into discussion. Discussing both here will create a lot of confusion.

Sorry, I thought the first torrent link on post number #1 was in English (Language: Japanese, English). I am new to this, so sorry for inconvenience

Language doesn't matter. You can install the english translation pack and have everything exactly as the English version.
Problem is that most references from the installation procedure differ from the eng version.

how to get 2.5 ? convert or something ?
according to there should be a COM3D2.5 installer that was distributed with the game after 2021.
I've never seen it because before that the installation was different. I think it was like a regular update and then after it broke every single plugin people complained and asked to downgrade and kiss made some stupid tool that downgraded your COM2.5 build back to regular COM v1.55 if you upgraded "by accident". So basically you need to get COM3D2.5 (or COM3D2 from the COM3D2.5 starter pack??) with new installer from somewhere. I don't have it and I don't recommend "upgrading" from normal COM3D2 unless you want to play vanilla with no uncensor and no plugins. Also you need X0 and KCES

Hello, i have a lil issue, when im customizing a maid, i can figure out that this mod pack is fully censored and i can't customize everything, there is some customization tiles that are in grey i can't click on it. Sorry for the disturbance, i hope you could help me on this. Thanks in advance

By gray menu entries I assume you are referring to face customization. Only GP01fb faces support all the options. The ones with blue-rainbow background icons and other mods based on it.
Gold background icons are GP01 and are fairly customizable. White background icons are old faces and should be avoided because they lack most of the customization options.
I don't understand what you mean by "modpack is fully censored". It has nothing to do with censorship.

Hey, I found your guide via a friend a few years back, and I thought I might as well give my gratitude because I honestly found your method easier than going through the "legitimate route." Anyways, if possible, could you add a small subsection to the FAQ? :3

I'll list a few tips and tricks I've used when moving from Windows to Linux.
1. Installing the extra DLCs is not worth the hassle of working only in Linux. The main two options I'd recommend are using a VM or simply booting up Windows (preferably on a different machine and using SSH to transfer the data).
2. When using Steam-proton to run the game (although I recommend using Lutris over Steam for this), add the following line to the launch options. `LANG=ja_JP.utf8` is the equivalent of setting the locals to Japanese in Windows; without it, all the Japanese are going to be squares. `WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp.dll=n,b"` is so BepinEX can run.
LANG=ja_JP.utf8 WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp.dll=n,b" %command%

It's been a while since I have done this, so if I remember anything important, I might mention it later.

Pretty much the same as running on a steam deck. This was discussed on f95 at some point using the eng version (which is available on steam) and that user mentioned he used launch options
<< WINEDLLOVERIDES-"winhttp=n,b" %command% >> to be able to initiate BepInEx.
For jap version it makes sense that you have to enable japanese locale but COM doesn't need japanese locale in order to run on windows. Only CM does. Windows has no problem displaying japanese text in COM without changings locale. I have no idea about linux so I'll take your word for it.
I'm not a linux user so I can't confirm any of it in order to write instructions for it. If you think it would be useful you can write detailed instructions and post them here.
If this is a win app it should be obvious to everyone that you should probably get it updated and running on a win machine first because you have to manually install a ton of dlc using their executables. Then just copy it to your linux build and apply whatever launch options you need to load BepInEx (basically any mod) and japanese games in general. This is probably common knowledge if you do a google search. I'd be surprised if it wasn't.
Anyway I've added it to the FAQ.

Ah, when I was referring to the Japanese in the launch screen's settings being unreadable. I never tested running the actual game without LANG=ja_JP.utf8. Cough cough; simply booting the game takes minutes on my laptop. I'll do some testing when I can get my hands on my desktop.

On a side note, I might completely reinstall R4.9 since mine is a bit dated. When I do, I'll keep you updated. The following instructions might include the wine prefix, which runner I used, and a few pictures. It's just that this might take me a while to do.

Do not update to 2.38.0. It affects how mods are loaded and might break core plugins.
