This thread's got the whole "Game I and seemingly many others will never play" starter pack.

- "Inspired by fallout and skyrim mods"
- Only posts over the course of multiple years is by the dev
- Weirdly large effort for a game that doesn't seem to actually garner interest
- 3D/CGI visual novel (A genre that's becoming almost as annoyingly common as RPG Maker games)

you seem to be active on this forum, so I'm surprised how you failed to just skim through the OP, or at least read the tags. but alright, I'll do that for you.

- this is a 3D real-time game made with Unreal Engine, not a VN
- I'm sorry, but in what what book does 800+ paid members on Patreon, almost 2 million views on f95 and 8k+ Discord members mean "doesn't garner interest"?

ULMF seems to focus mostly on anime-styled games, which might be why we don’t get as many comments here. but even so, our analytics still show we get a decent number of clicks from here

Saying many people won't play a game, definitely doesn't mean nobody will. There's plenty of games that one may gaze upon with grim begrudging disinterest realizing they probably shouldn't question why such a game exists, since there's likely a demographic dead set on enjoying that kind of game.. And the other 300 made just like it.

And yet, they still have to wonder how it happens. How a game they've seen in so many different lifeless iterations can be spawned across the realm, and yet taken happily by the public with the same vigor as if it were the first. The analytics don't lie, and neither do I.

You keep enjoying the success, and I will keep shitting on games I get tired of seeing. Sounds like a fair deal to me.

you're free to choose whichever games you enjoy, however... what are the "300 different lifeless iterations" you're talking about?
are there really that many games like ours? with advanced role-play, unique mechanics, strong story basis and are 3D-realtime. because our fans have yet to find any.

can you share links?
I'm serious... I'd love to cross-promote with them

Sounds like someone’s making stuff up and salty because the games they like are actually boring and getting ignored so they have to take there frustration out on good games

Let just say that ULMF relation with Patreon devs is rather messy.

Too many devs that promise something but never deliver and too many users that were parted from their money for those promises.

indeed, but what does it have to do with Patreon?
any dev can break promises, regardless of the platform

Well.
Too many devs that promise something but never deliver and too many users that were parted from their money for those promises.
Bolded part being one, and many devs use ULMF for advertising... and probably a few other things, including some Patreon stuff that has little to nothing to do with devs.
