Claire grinned as the blonde quoted a certain playwright, mentioning,

"you keep spouting off quotes and I might just drag you back to bed."

She was joking, of course -- she didn't want to get into a reenactment of any great works, conceding that this was neither the time nor the place (even if she wanted to!)

"Well, that Amy woman--" she hadn't connected that Amy was also the Director! "--can't sew smaller patches together forever, and it looked like Jesse was running out of clothing. I'd seen a few apartments in the area... we might be able to find some clothing or food. Or both." Entering the lobby, on the way to the shop, Claire added, "we can always ask Jesse, like you said. Maybe we should pick up a third wheel to help us carry... or fight," she added, frowning but seeming to have come to terms with the fact that they'd run up against something on their venture.

Caitlyn blushes just a little at the joke, giving a dismissive wave.

"I guess I hadn't thought about that," she replies. In truth, she hadn't considered breaking into homes or apartments because, in her mind, anything that they found would still belong to somebody. Even if the owner was gone or. . . missing. Looting from a store, especially one that had been looted already, seemed more ethically defensible but maybe for now she just shouldn't worry about it.

"I think having a third person would be a very good idea," Caitlyn didn't let it show but she was still a little amazed by just how successful she and River had been the previous day. Just having another pair of eyes and another fighter around had made a huge difference. "Let's hurry to Jesse's shop and see if we can find someone there; I wonder if River has already gone out again. . ."

(Going to the shop?)

Still looking for Iris Emily could only think of a few more people that may know where she could be. That was the director and the maid that seemed to be tending to her. If she went on a mission Emily figured they would have a document of it or something. She walked to the directors room and knocked on the door then said-

"Hello? Anyone there?"

Emily was getting frustrated. She didn't know who else to ask. In her frustration she punched the door but not so hard it would hurt her that much. She yelled-

"Well, FUCK!"

She walked off wondering who else she could ask. Then she remembered there were guards stationed at the doors. Trying to find a guard stationed closest to the front door she guys up and asks.

"Hey you seen a girl with very neat long white hair?"

The woman nodded, "You mean the one that was with the red eye'd girl? Yeah, her and two others went trailin' after the Director when she left the hotel." she replied.

Emily thought a second about a red eyed girl. Then she remembered Luna her sister had red eyes. Thinking back to their spar there would be a shitload of fire power between the two. She smiled thinking about what they could lay waste to together. Then she wondered what this was about the director. Where they chasing her? Had she done something wrong and now they were hunting her down?

"Uh.... do you by any chance know why they left?"

The woman shook her head, "Ask that maid, I don't have a clue, she was the one that talked to em before they left." she said, pointing to the white haired girl sitting on a couch in the lobby, her head resting on her hands.

Emily walked over to my maid. her hand was scratching the back of her head. She felt stupid for walking around this whole place and going to the directors room when her answer was right here. When she got over to the maid she asked.

"You remember seeing a girl with long white hair right...?"

As if she knew what she was asking, the maid replied,

"She has gone out, she will be back shortly." she said with a tinge of uncertainty.

Hearing the uncertainty in the maids voice made Emily wonder what was going on. She knew the Director had something to do with this... "If that bitch hurts Iris I'm going to kill her..." She thought. her hands balled up into fists she looked at the maid intently.

"What... is happening to Iris?"

Her voice was shaking with concern... and anger. She wasn't yelling yet but felt like she was on the brink. If this maid wouldn't tell her she'd make her tell her.

Emily was getting angry. It felt like to her this woman was now contradicting herself... Even if it was only a tiny bit of uncertainty she didn't care. If Iris didn't have a one hundred percent chance of getting back her she wanted to know what the hell was going on. Grabbing the maid by the arm she lifted it up making sure she had her attention.

"Tell me where the fuck they are NOW!"

She screamed the last part. She was about ready to start pummeling on this maid if she didn't answer her question.

The maid still didn't look at Emily, but she did answer her,

"She has gone to save the Director from certain demise."

Emily dropped the maid's arm. She didn't know what the director was capable off. Was she some great warrior? It made her wonder what Iris' chances of coming back were. Before left herself lose control from her concern and anger she asked-

"What... is this... certain... demise?"

Her voice was shaky again. She wanted to yell and scream at the maid at the top of her lungs. It would probably help drain her anger, but her concern for Iris would still be there.

"I don't even know anymore..." she said regretfully.

Emily just stared at the maid for a while. She didn't know how to deal with these feelings that she had. She weakly said to the maid-

"Excuse me..."

Then walked over to the nearest and punched it as hard as possible. Feeling the pain in her hand she knew it would break if she attempted to punch the wall with it again. Then she she spoke softly at first letting it build up to the point of where she was screaming-

"fuck... fuck.... FUCK!"

She then got up and attempted to run outside having no idea where she's going.

(( I hope to God the guards stop her or the maid... ))

The maid catches Emily by the arm as she attempts to run off,

"When she comes back, how do you think she'd feel if I told her you ran off on your own, never to be seen again?"

Emily went slump. She was still standing but it was as if her body offered no resistance anymore. Whether the maid realized it or not she had just offered comfort to Emily in her words. Even if it was fake when she said "When" it made her be able to regain control of herself. She said weakly...

"You're right..."
