The Arab spring has arrived in Kuwait.

Here are a few articles from various sources:

As far as I know, a requirement everywhere for Tazer use is to experience the effects yourself. Unsure if the same regulations are required for mace however...

Re: In today's news...

Around here, you'll see security or bouncers for places using mace more than an officer would. It's not a pleasant experience for sure. Many I know don't like to use mace specifically because they know what it feels like. 'Course with tasers you have to bring the AR to the hospital to get the prongs removed.

Around here, security or bouncers for places don't use maces. They just punch you in the face.
(Although I would like to be the karma whore and argue about the police, media and black sheep, there are more important and significant things at hand that I am sure will be discussed at length in this or the debate thread soon.)
However, thank you all for answering my innocent little question. To those concerned, I wish you much success in your gardening efforts. To the Petercopter!

It looks like Obama's still president. Judging from facebook it's either the end of the world or the start of a new golden era. I'm very confused by it all. Not really.

Is it bad that the first thought that popped into my head after that comic was "By your powers combined..."?

It's really hard to read when the background is white, and most of the content is "white" too. ;)

on a somewhat relevant note.

Also, it's sad that this addresses actual beliefs by a lot of people

Re: In today's news...

. Unsurprisingly, it looks like trash, throwing aside the characters, settings, themes, and subtext of the original book completely in favor of a bad horror-action flick in the vein of the universally terrible Resident Evil movies.

Maybe they will be a decent snack fodder for Australia. Everyone wins!

Re: In today's news...

As for some people, they are taking the reelection of Obama a little hard. By hard, I mean deciding the world is doomed and attempting to kill themselves...one even attempted to commit suicide by cop.
