(Of course you can force, or pick the lock open, but since there's a group already exploring that area, I'd advise against going that way. All I need is for the group to decide which way to go. From where they are standing, on the west side of the road, there's a road to the north leading to a door, or they could go back east and take the first door they saw north, straight to the path leading to the aquarium.)
