Yeah, I love it, read it out loud to some of my half-gamer friends, it really comes out a lot better spoken, when you can add all the implied ridiculousness to it yourself. XD

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Duh silly me, I just realized that River was talking to Cody over the headset. I was thinking that she was just yelling at Fletch to call for Vincent.

That article was awesome. Though they forgot to mention a variant of one the ridiculous monsters they listed.

GO FOR THE EYES BOO, GO FOR THE EYES!

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

That's okay, a response wouldn't be immediate anyways, he does have to sit there and talk to a Tremere. Even if Vincent is gruffer and more to the point than most, it will probably still take for freaking ever XD

Still seemed kind of silly when I realized who you were talking to, though it might not take as much to get Vincent to come help as you might think. Normally he wouldn't be in a hurry to come help River but he is concerned about the garage obviously.

Yeah, doesn't give two shits about the vampires, but the *garage.* Now that's important...

Well, Fletch probably won't get to use it, but still. The thought of him getting that chain swinging... I know, melee weapons seem kind of moot for a man that can grow claws, but at least the chain has some reach to it.

That is, if Ronny is okay with him having that thing. Otherwise I'll change it to a large wrench or something.

What you expected Vincent to care about anyone but himself, on the bright side at least you always know where you stand with him.

Actually a melee weapon does make more sense than the claws, from the masquerade point of view at least. Chain is perfectly fine seeing as how it would be readily handy in the garage.

Too true we can't be forgetting about the clan when it comes to the tremere now can we.

Yes I decided to actually use the colors when someone uses aura perception. Seeing as how River is the only one who can do it though it shouldn't be too much trouble. At least as long as Shrike knows the colors at least, if she doesn't she can always ask. Most of them are pretty straight forward though the particular one she sees might be a little confusing and she might not even know what this one means.

Nope, I haven't the foggiest. We generally just ask for the top three feelings from the target, so yeah, I'll guess. Course, all she was really after was location. Haven't checked the post though, so it may wind up being important. Hmm...

Yeah it shouldn't really matter for this situation, since you were just looking for a location.

It's still technically the same thing as asking the three questions I just like it a little better this way is all. I'll explain with a quick example and if you have more questions I'll answer them.

Say River is sitting on a roof top watching Vincent from a distance and uses aura perception. The first round she spends looking at him she sees a pale red aura about him (pale means it's a kindred, red mean he's angry). If she continues to concentrate on it for another round she sees sparkles in the aura (sparkles indicate he's using thaumaturgy). A third round she sees that the aura is actually shifting from red to yellow (he's not only angry but also afraid of something).

Slight correction to the way I'll be doing the aura perception. I might mention the colors in the description but I'll just basically tell you what it means when you see it, so you won't have to try and figure out what I mean by say orange. So basically you would get the answer to the three questions like it's normally done as long as you concentrated on reading the aura for the three rounds, two rounds you get two questions, and so on. Make sense, kinda sorta?

Also Sinful it's this coming up Monday when you'll be gone for a few days right? Because if so I'll try my darndest to finish up with the current night this weekend, or at least your portion of it.

Check like I said I'll try to get through it even though it most likely won't work, still it doesn't hurt to try.

Also when I said that Lucky looks like a typical nosferatu, I meant that his appearance is like Count Orlok from the movie Nosferatu. Though bviously he's a lot smaller and he's not wearing a cape so I guess you could say he looks like batboy. He is wearing a good amount of raggy clothes to so you could probably get away with any excuse as long as they didn't get a real close look.

Hm. I know that zombies make an appearance in Bloodlines, but are they something we've been informed about? And are zombie cats a thing? Or is it just a ghoul, or possessed by a kindred?

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

You probably don't remember it since it was way back when we were playing king of the hill but River did mention seeing zombies before. As far as I know the only way to make zombies is via necromancy though so you probably don't know all that much about them other than they can exist.

Of course none of that really matters since it's actually none of those things you listed, though those are all possible (I think, not really sure on zombie cats). It's actually a homunculus or a wizards familiar, it's technically more like a construct the way I read it so it's neither alive nor is it dead so to speak. Probably not the best describing job on my part to be honest now that I think about it.

I think it's more of an extension of the creator. Definitely a construct if it's a homunculi though, yep. Hmm... Did buddy have the mark of Goratrix on his forehead, by any chance? Probably covered it up somehow if it is there, but no harm in asking.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I think you can only see the mark of the traitor if you're one of the Tremere or is it that you can only see it with auspex. Course what I read could have been wrong and it's visible to everyone unless covered. Either way no he's a normal Tremere, he just has a roughly 100 year old reason to not like Vincent. One big enough that he's willing to risk the ire of the rest of his clan.

100 years. Oh. Hm. Makes me reconsider trying to bash his skull in with an iron chain.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Eh not really. He probably views Fletch more as an amusing diversion than a real threat. For all you know he's already planned all of this out and wants Vincent to come back.

Elder kindred are usually something you don't want to mess with as a good rule. That being said though they're more likely to think up something much more creative than just killing a useful pawn.
