To the best of my knowledge BF was usually male protagonist. The trendiest most sensible plot would be said succubi that could feed on men through sex and either enslave or kill them through it. However to force actual sex, said succubi were then immune to standard adventurer beatdowns. Therefore, only way to beat them was at their own game.
Other variations have women getting succubus like abilities, or some other sort of enchantment that turns women into sex crazed mindless zombies (without the actual dead/squick part). There was one RPG BF game that was rather incomplete that used that plot to a T. Outside of the RPGMakers there was the original Succubus Quest that may have started the whole thing. Erotical Night seems pretty well known as well. The Monster Girl Quest series does mix in non-sex attacks so its more half-battlefuck but helps set up the nature of some of the fights.
Desire Dungeon has an item later on that you use to turn it into a really soft BF (foreplay fighting rather than actual sex) until one or the other loses.
It mostly is male protagonists. I can't really think of any strong examples off the top of my head that have a female protagonist save for that one lone RPGMaker BF that wasn't even all that good.
So its not so much, "I'm a girl who's getting assaulted and a dick shoved in my mouth, I should suck it off," as much as "I'm a succubus hungry for some guy's life energy and/or soul, I'm gonna suck it out of his balls - unless he breaks my concentration by making me cum first."
Of the original sets which had like... I dunno 30+ games (most of them were little more then demo scraps) there was only 1 female protagonist game that I knew of. The rest were all male.
Also to note: there was one fairly good but difficult without translation RPGmaker BF where there were no succubi, I think the warring kingdoms just got tired of the bloodshed or something and so 'battlefuck' was sanctioned as a form of dueling to work things out. To unite the kingdoms or something you had to go and pleasure all the princesses without them turning you inside out first.
