It just makes one unable to take falling damage, aka creates an air cushion, it does not allow one to float forward or proceed downwards in a controlled manner. It keeps one falling slowly enough that they won't get hurt upon hitting the ground, but it also doesn't cancel out other forces pushing the character around. So, theoretically, it could be used to glide very inefficiently.Quick sorta mechanical game-wise question, {W} [Ultility] Gliding Winds does it let one actually glide? And what's the needed STR to jump from one tree to another in a jungle forest? As well as climbing said tree?
Blargh sorry recently got out of a D&D session, yea I meant Body. Inefficient is still good. I'm not too sure on a 32 Body Slime being able to jump while carrying/holding a another person, obviously I can buff her to 44 with a Strength Lesser Buff with no upkeep and casting Gliding Winds to offset some of the weight, between trees. It just makes one unable to take falling damage, aka creates an air cushion, it does not allow one to float forward or proceed downwards in a controlled manner. DG has no STR score. At no point has it ever had a STR score. At no point will it ever have a STR score.
Body is the physical stat, a rough equivalent in some respects but much more abstract in that it accounts for physical strength and physical agility at the same time, with how much of each dependent on backstory and various other bits on the character sheet. 10 is the rough equivalent to human average. Can the average human climb a tree? Probably, if the branches are aligned well. Can the average human jump from tree to tree? Probably not, but it's possible for someone naturally acrobatic or who has trained to do such a thing... Like someone with a decent Body stat who is trained as an acrobatic fighter. A character could have 100 Body, and if they're fluffed as a brick in full plate armor who waddles around whacking things with a stick, they aren't going to be climbing anything or jumping off of anything and landing on anything but the ground. One could even get away with some nerd with like 10-20 Body jumping around in trees if it made sense in the context of the character's history.
There are plenty of people who can sign off on a converted sheet.I actually wanted to pm this to Tassadar but, figured others might have the same question(s).
Tassadar when converting a DG3 Sheet to DG4 who do we need to sign off on it?
Also for enchanted items that convert does our GM roll those dice?
Finally Trades should we keep them inline to what the character has already done or forfeit some of their more daring acts possible to get by with a more rounded character?
We can pre empt the change right? Me and Rath both prefer to slide over to the new system. He is in fact looking over my DG4 sheet for Tori right now.Not soon, I've not had time to work on the mechanics and I intend to have all of my current threads close to their conclusions by the time I force the change. I'm not entirely satisfied with parts of the system, which is why I'm still mucking about with it.
