if i recall correctly u need to search for her 2-3times, this option is avaible in all ur zones, then next day shall be event, when u find her

this option is avaible when she has gone missing after capture by demon lord, u have few days though for the search

I am playing this and got to turn 40 somthing not sure exact number and kouhime's coprse is found after she gets captured by the demon possesing her brother, soo is there any way to keep her alive? or does she have to die?

Shame on you for letting her die.

Just start searching as soon as she goes missing.

derp for letting her die. though... that triggers one of the IF routes in later games, right? no, no, wait, it's talking to Nobunaga and he tells you she's dead. that triggers the Isoroku IF route.

nvm i had to do the search icon not the purple one, that did it, though she was still raped, now i got a new issue i know ran is going to explode like the chinu girl, who i didnt know had on it her so made no prep to take that area to possible save her, so how do i save ran? ive heard by doing the ran route but i have no clue how to do that, im on playthrough 2 btw

You have to capture both Ran and Whatshisface, the one she proposed to, before 5 jars break in order to do it. this is slightly tricky, since a few turns after Ran is captured, he either commits suicide or disappears into a dungeon and is never seen again. because of taking that route, they figure out Xavier and his minions faster than they did in other playthroughs, and so he stays sealed up. that means none of the Disciples break out, therefore, no explody hot girls.

The point at which all IF routes start is the incident at Honnou Temple, which happens after 5th seal is broken. To enter Ran route you must capture her before that and allow Soun to go missing in the temple (not capture him, like stated above). After Soun disappears conquer Hojo house, do an event at Mamushi Oil Field that unlocks a dungeon and complete the dungeon before the incident at Honnou Temple.

I wouldn't know about the zip problem, I DLed it about few months back and it works fine. I still have ALL of the .rar files I ever downloaded. I just tested them and they are fine. I recommend re-downloading?

Wow it's been ages since this thread has been active.

Anyway, I'm having trouble getting Agireda cleared.
The Shimazu brothers, after stating they were going to assassinate Rance,
just never show up. Is there any chance that they never again show up after certain events, for example after killing Apostle Suzaku?

Any ideas, anybody?

It has been a while to me, but I think that it went like this for me:

There was the event where they said they would assassinate Rance.

After that, I defeated Suzaku.

Right after the battle, I had to fight all of the brothers.

I beated them.



I guess you missed the event by killing Suzaku first, I don't know. But you don't miss much. The only thing that happens in that event is that one of the brothers die. Nothing ground breaking.

Also, how can I delay the Honnouji event (happened before turn 60), the Demon Army's appearance (turn 70) and Sill's freezing? Everthing happens so fast I don't have time to conquer anything or level up

Stop conquering provinces that have gourds. In your second game, there's an option in Oda territory that lets you feed the monkey so that he won't go around breaking gourds for a bit. You're not supposed to 100% your first game. Just concentrate on winning.

I did that too. Just one advice:

If you want to get the CGs of the youkai girls in the youkai kingdom, conquer everything except the youkai kingdom and the miko temple.

That way, you can concentrate in fighting against the youkais without having to worry about being attacked, and after conquering it, you can take your time doing the quest to release the Fox girl and maxing the love of the 3 generals, so you can get the last cgs.

Just as a clarification - 'kill the monkey' is the option to stop storyline progression. Feeding it actually hastens gourds breaking. Note, that in order to be able to kill the monkey you need to select corresponding new game bonus - can kill Ta*** (don't remember the monkey name, sorry)

Also, "Kill the Monkey" is a relatively expensive bonus.
I think you have to finish the game in at leats 2 different endings (or make a very good run on the first playtrough) to afford it.

I would say the easiest route to get the highest points on is the Ran Route. You can afford to have a low number of territories, and then just put down all the Trolls, then go kill the final boss (troll) in his dungeon.
