Reboot getting released soon.
When I opened on this page, I absolutely flipped my shit for about half a second.

Then I noticed the context.

Regarding the Protheans: Vigil states that the most important scientists were woken after the Reapers departed and used the conduit to go to the Citadel to change the keepers, but it doesn't know what happened to them afterwards. It does say there probably wasn't any food or water on the station. After 50,000 years, they're either dead or inbred as hell.

Re: Games Discussion Thread

I just can't believe they really think I'm going to buy something new to play "tie-in" content and get more weapons/someotheruselessshit. And I doubt that someone's going to play this and think "Wow I need to go buy ME3!" since the majority of people that are going to buy it know about it already. So what is their angle?

Now don't get me wrong, I want those motherfucking guns since ME2 was horribly understocked on guns, especially when you take into account that 3 (or was it 4?) weapons could only be gotten on the hive ship and you had to choose between them (really assholes? I'd take them ALL if I was there) and there was the assault rifle that sucked dick, the burst-fire one (I don't know of any assault rifles that only have a burst-fire setting without a full-auto) to be honest I used the starting assault rifle through most of my first playthrough because I didn't have a sniper and that's what I chose on the hive ship.

Re: Games Discussion Thread

Also, the soldier is the only class that can use assault rifles, which sucks pretty hard to be honest. Even more so because the machine gun you get on the Collector ship is a fucking beast. Honestly, I just paired it up with AP ammo and had no need for heavy weapons anymore. Or for any other weapon for that matter, except maybe the sniper rifle for those very distant targets.
Oh Revenant. You make my dick hard.

Re: Games Discussion Thread

HaHa, speaking of that, at one point I started playing with one of the classes that used SMGs and thought to myself "this is exaclty the same as the assault rifle, except it's fucking worthless unless I'm so close I can teabag what I'm shooting at". Granted at that point I was just spamming abilites and using the pistol to finish off enemies, but c'mon an SMG shouldn't be a giant hunk of shit everywhere outside of shotgun range.

Edit : They did fix this with the Kasumi DLC, but that's just 1 SMG that I didn't hate.

Re: Games Discussion Thread

Honestly, I'm kind of disappointed that in the... Firepower? DLC they gave you one of each weapon except for SMG. The one that needed it the most got left out. They give you a heavy pistol that's a sniper rifle, an assault rifle that's a heavy pistol, a sniper rifle that's an assault rifle and a shotgun that's a heavy weapon. But no SMG with the least bit of stopping power or usefulness. Honestly, you're better off slapping disruptor ammo on any of your other weapons.

EDIT: Scratch that, the sniper rifle was part of the aegis pack along with the kestrel armor.

And now for something completely different:

Came across this, thought it was interesting. Mostly because I myself didn't know it. Then again, I never bothered to find out.

The thing about bugs is, fixing them takes a lot of effort. Fixing them is most of the time pretty simple, but finding a bug can take a lot of time, even with relatively small project.

The final battle against Alduin was rather disappointing.

Re: Games Discussion Thread

Kind of old news, but I just ran into another of these fuckers that is a mod. I've ran into a few here and there, most don't abuse whatever bullshit they've got too much, just enough to make them more annoying than a usual good player.

This one though! Son of a bitch was doing things with a jet I'm not even sure are possible. Motherfucker weaved in and out of the buildings on operation firestorm at full speed as if it were nothing (not just once, and not the easy way either), was able to pull 180 turns almost instantly, and was unkillable. I know this because I watched from the saftey of the AA gun after the first time he shot me down (I'm an ok pilot and I know when can't win).

Re: Games Discussion Thread

Well, that depends on how you want to think about the whole Shor deal, and how closely you've been following the deities of the Elder Scrolls universe.

There's also the fact that
Nocturnal walked on Nirn
, which isn't at the end of the game but still raises questions about just how well Akatosh's fix at the end of Oblivion worked.

But yeah, the final fight with Alduin was pretty fucking pathetic.

Re: Games Discussion Thread

lol, it's been so long I had no idea what game you guys were talking about (also goes to show how forgettable the boss was). I ended up using 2 of the katanas you can get from the lady's basement hideout (yes I duped them) and the shout that speeds up your attacks, elemental fury I think, to carve a hole through him.

I went back to oblivion after beating skyrim and finally played the shivering isles and knights of the nine. My biggest question is, shouldn't Jygalag (I don't know how to spell that) be making a comeback in worship? After all he is one of the less evil daedric princes (order to its extreme and all that fun).

And what's with sheogorrath (not sure on this sp either!)? Is the title just kind of a symbiotic life-form? Transforming the bearer into sheogorrath? Or maybe the effects of Jygalag's defeat were only temporary? Or did they just decide to overwrite/forget about the whole shivering isles DLC?
