Just noticed they've updated their progress bars.

"Estimated to 5.5 - 99%"

Looks like everything's done except for some BG + Story.

Re: Project X: New update v4.0 released 8th March 2013

Recently actually played through this game for the first time, after having known about it for at least a little over a year. I have to say, it's a really cool game, and it definitely caters to a few of my bigger fetishes, such as stomach distension and bestiality. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the bellybutton fucking and cumspraying/seething. I mean... it's a bellybutton!

Anyway, looking forward to what's coming next.

I think most of us feel like that

Most of us probably feel like this too. Although this is really nothing new to any of us when it comes to waiting for games to come out.

(I was just about to post this too.)

tl;dr version: "The release, if all goes well, will be between sunday and wednesday."

I don't normally post unless I have so information to give, but I had to express myself on this one. Been watching this thread and the zeta site basically every afternoon and I'm super excited for this new update.

Have to express my gratitude to the zeta team for the amount of effort and time they've spent making this amazing game, Thanks :D

YES, FINALLY! If we're really lucky (and I'm feeling good about this one, to be honest) we'll see the update on Sunday the 17th. Oh boy, I can't wait : D If not, well it'll probably just be another month to wait, no big deal.

The next update's gonna take a year at least, so what's another month for this one? YESSSSSSSS

Man, 17 days? Extending a 30 day deadline by 17 days is a long-ass extension.

I always think of an extension as like, 3 more days, not 50%+ more days.

Quote from zeta: "The release, if all goes well, will be between sunday and wednesday."

No idea where that 17 days comes from, but release is either tomorrow or the days after tomorrow.

Because you think mostly about producers that make game developing their full time job.

(The next part is not directed to the quote, i wonder why i feel compelled to specify that. XD)
The only real problem with zeta's team deadlines is that they foolishly try to set deadlines in the first place.
You can set a deadline when you have a standard working schedule, you know roughly how long it takes you to make a specific item and you fill that time in your schedule to get an idea on when it's gonna be ready.
The way they do it is different, first they "work when they have time", and second they add new ideas to the workload as they come up in their minds, which messes up even more the schedule they don't even have.

That said, failing to meet their deadlines is no more annoying than people constantly complaining about it.

No. Deadlines are useful.
Many people working without deadlines usually ends up doing almost no work at all. Procrastination is a bitch :p
That being said, when you put a deadline for a free amateur work deadline are certainly more flexible. It's not like you are getting fired for not meeting a deadline.
But deadlines, even inconsequential ones can help you push yourself to meet them in time and so do some work. Even when you fail to meet the deadline, you still did job hopefully at a good rhythm in order to at least try to meet the deadline.

The real error is to publicly share your deadline to people that build expectations and then bitch about missed deadlines.

Don't get me wrong, I build expectations too. And I get disappointed when deadlines are missed. But it's just a "sigh, too bad" not "wtf zeta do some work already".

Maybe because I worked in actual professional game development.
