I'm not gonna do anymore anonymous voting. I want to read your comments and reasoning, as it helps me shape the next part of the story...
Decision Made: Walk off the path. And greet the other tamer.
I follow the sounds of voices off the path, and it isn't long before I come around some bushes into a clearing to their source. The sight before me is amusing, to say the least. There's a generously voluptuous green skinned woman, with a large plant bulb on her back, giggling. She is facing the now aggravated, and (still) pantless Pokégirl I met earlier, who's torso is wrapped in vines coming for the Boobiesaur's bulb. The the other tamer is next them both. The Boobiesaur is holding a Pokéball in each hand, while her tamer has a ball in one hand, and his Pokédex in the other. The balls are being pressed up against the pantless girl, wandering around her body.
"'Negative Impact'? What does that mean?" he says, a look of confusion on his face.
My attempts to stifle my laughter draw their attention. The Boobiesaur looks at me and blushes, though retains her giggling smile. The tamer's bewildered look turns to a polite smile, while his pantless sister's becomes that of embarrassing despair. I break down into laughter completely.
"Oh, man. What a sight!" I exclaim as I recompose my self.
"Hey!" the other tamer yelped.
The pantless Pokégirl was released while I was laughing, and was now glaring at her two companions. "Seriously? If it doesn't work the first twelve times, what makes you think it may work the next thirty?" she nearly yells. "And you!" she points to the Boobiesaur, "I know full well you did not expect them to work!" The Boobiesaur responds with gibberish of her breed name and sticking out her tongue. "Pervert!"
I walk up to them, smile on my face, holding out my hand. "I didn't get an opportunity to introduce myself earlier. I'm Rocky Bullwinkle."
"Hi, I'm Markus D. Cockerbiggens," the tamer introduces himself. I smile to hide my amusement, as he takes my hand in his. I note that the kid's hold is feeble and uncertain. "This is my sister, Venessa."
"Half-sister," she corrects, folding her arms ever her chest.
"And this is Maggie," he gestures to his Boobiesaur. She smiles warmly and takes my hand for a shake. I note her hold is firm and confident. "She was really talkative earlier, but... uh... ya, know. Taming shock and stuff." he finishes sheepishly. Maggie brushes up against him, causing him to blush.
"Nice to meet you Markus," I reply. "I'd introduce my girls, but they're a combination of injured or feral."
"Whoa! Caught something already?" the tamer asks. I nod. "And you went off and tamed your girl first. You're fast."
"Not
that fast," I respond, implying an insult. Venessa grunts in disapproval, while Maggie giggles, both catching the joke.
"Uh, well. That's good. And um. Thanks for earlier," he begins a little nervous. "I... uh..."
"No problem. Don't mention it," I interrupt in cheerful tone, before turning dead serious, "to anybody."
"Uh, right." he nods. "Um, listen could you help me out, again? I'm not sure what's wrong, but the Pokéballs won't even activate when I try to get Venessa in one. We kinda wanna catch some ferals, and if she gets hurt, I wanna put her through a healing cycle."
I take a second to consider his request. There's only six possibilities for a Pokégirl to be unaffected by Pokéball capture. The Unicorn breed is immune unless she wants to be captured, while the Kamichu is possibly immune if the last revision wasn't accepted, and even then, Pokéball immunity may still be possible. Then, either she hasn't completely finished thresholding, or she's too young (unlikely), she's already been captured to a ball, or she has an anti-capture collar/micro-chip.
The other tamer should have at least scanned her with his dex before after failing to capture her once, but that's limit of his intelligence. I had a pretty good idea of what was going on, but I decided to be sure. I pull out my Pokédex, and point it to Venessa, declaring "I'm going to scan you."
It only takes a second, but the result confirms my suspicion. Venessa is a
Kamichu, the Threshold Mystic Pokégirl, uncaptured, unregistered. While she shouldn't be immune to Pokéballs as of the last update, there's always exceptions.
Decision: I'm certain I can get Venessa into a Pokéball. It's all about
her state of mind.
- Use one of his balls to 'capture' Venessa. It's easy, she just has to do it.
- Use one my own balls. She'll evolve into something really powerful, and the dude shouldn't be taming his sister anyway.
- Help him figure it out. He can't be that dense, and the learning experience would probably give him some confidence.
- Tell him she has a magic anti-capture field. She doesn't know she's using it and he has to fuck Venessa silly before it goes down.
- Actually, the magic field can also be taken down with physical violence. Tell him he has to beat the crap out of her.
- Tell him he's on his own. His girls, his problem. Wish him luck, and leave.
