I lived there with my parents before..." she stopped and shook her head, "Well that doesn't matter, I have one and The shining star and i are at your immediate disposal." "Oh, of course. Here, press the button at the bottom and speak your name. This will increase your pay check quite a bit", he says with a smile that's surprisingly honest in comparison to what he gave to the others. Maybe that's because Krysta is one of his own crew and not some mercenary out for a buck.

"We should be fine then." He notes her hesitation to say anything more.

Eyes following the hologram as best as he can, he takes note of everything that he can, adding in details to his database. "We might be able to rig a sort of torpedo launcher or something for the station, maybe even upgrade it's weapons."

He shakes his head. "This is an interesting day to say the least. Not too long ago neither of us would have even considered something like that. Now though, we may have to."

Krysta took the contract and said, "Krysta Trin." in a clear voice. Then she smiled again, "Thank you sir, maybe i can finally afford to pay for the cosmetic repairs for my ship."

"Oh, absolutely. Some stations of these models grew extremely in size. They have been designed to be expanded. As a matter of fact the Defense Ring of Terra Prime started off as a Wheat Thresher..." Mara suddenly whistles and raises her hand. "I'm sorry. Some pilots dubbed it that way because of it's form."

"Thank you sir." She said bestowing another smile and turning on her heel to leave the office.

After the door closed behind her she took a deep breath and sighed, It's nothing more than what you have been doing, only you are going to be under a lot of pressure to make things work... Shaking her head and rubbing her eyes a bit she headed towards the Canteen to find the Garik Nadia.

Draven raises an eye at the choice of words, but says nothing to it. A thought then occurs to him. "Mara, do you think we should tell the general that the plasma beam weapons seem to, at least in simulations, be effective on the fungus creatures? I remember him saying they had refined plasma, perhaps if they knew it worked on them, they might gear towards developing their own versions of the weapon?"

'I think that's it....' Sanya stopped outside the Ingrali's ship. Well, at least the one she thought was an Ingrali ship. She checked the time, noting that she only had a little time before they were to leave for the mission. She scooted over, examining the exterior of the ship.

After leaving the General's office, Vix hadn't gone far. Not far at all. In fact, the only reason the figure had turned the bend in the corridor, was to avoid the gaze of the curiously bloodstained woman outside.

Once there, the humanoid flattens against the wall.. and disappears, the matte black armour blending neatly into the walls. A few moments later, Vix was on the ceiling, watching the General's office.. and then, back into the ventilation system.

It stalked overhead, clanging deliberately once as the bloodstained woman hurried through the corridor below, heading for the hangar. Using the same roof access hatch, the humanoid emerges into the hangar.. but instead, makes it's way down to the floor. There, in a corner away from the ships, Vix deactivates it's camouflage and sensor shielding, and leans against the bulkhead, arms crossed. Computers might pick up active thermal and EM scans originating from it.

"Their plasma weapons are still in the experimental phase. They use it mainly for their Artillery ships, which are meant to be used against Battleships and the like. Stuff that can't move out of the way of a huge ball of plasma. They'll probably need another year before they can even think about constructing smaller, faster-firing plasma cannons." Mara sighs. "Sometimes I wish the Veda wouldn't forbid us to trade technology. But we all have to abide to these laws." Her eyes turn towards the cockpit window, and she hmms as she sees Sanya outside. "It appears you have a visitor. I'm gonna have to get back to the Zeta anyway. Looks like we're starting soon."

Nadia curses under her breath. Nobody here seems to be interested in joining their mission. The Garik raises her slender, gloved hand and brushes a stray braid back under her hood. Maybe they are scared off because I'm Garik. Racist bastards.

He is just about to reply to her when he notices her pointing outside. Shifting his neck so his head now moves at an impossible angle to look out, he spots Sanya, the woman from before in the meeting. "That seems to be Sanya from before. I wonder if she's looking for me for some reason? For that matter, I wonder how she figured out which ship was mine, it isn't like from the outside that it stands out. Does it?"

He shifts his body back into proper shape, or what passes for it anyway, then heads over and opens the hatch at the rear of the ship. "Perhaps we should greet her."

Stepping outside, he watches her for just a moment before speaking. "Hello there, Sanya was it not? Can I help you, or are you just looking around to know your friends?"

Sanya nearly jumps at the voice obviously attached to a body she hadn't noticed, her hand instinctively heading for where she kep- oh crud, she left her weapon back on the ship didn' she? Wait, it's on a friendly, hopefully, station. Calm down. What did they say now?.... Oh shit. I was spotted snooping.

She turned to face the Ingrali. "My apologies. Uhm...." She was seriously flustered. "Uhm... I was just admiring the various ships around... is all."

Krysta peered around the room and then blinked, "Nadia?" She called out questioningly to the blue hooded figure across the room, before threading her way through people and tables to get to the woman, "The General told me to fetch you." Then, characteristically, she added too much information, "I'm the Medical Officer for the mission."

A *ping* alerted Umbral that his ship's preflight diagnostic had been completed. With that, he keyed in commands to activate the passive sensors, put the engines and navigational systems on standby, and prepare to seal the entryway. The chronometer next to him showed that it was getting close to departure time. With those preparations done, he leaned back in his flight chair, mind shifting to neutral to avoid stress from worry.

Draven tilts his head a moment at her reaction, realizing he's managed to somehow embarrass her as well as startle her. "I apologize if I startled you. I see."

He thinks for a moment, getting the impression there was a larger reason she seemed jumpy. He decided to test that theory. "We might have a little bit of time still, would you like to have a quick look around inside my own ship then, and perhaps run a simulation of your own?"

"N- no, you didn't startle me. Though, a tour would be... nice." Calm down idiot! Sanya managed an awkward, though gracious, smile. She followed that up with a curtsy. Be nice, I'm a guest now... I think. Must not make a fool of myself.... Agh, it's already too late!

Mara sighs and steps up to Draven. "If you excuse me, I'll return to the Zeta now. It was nice of you to show me around." With a nod to Sanya the Telarin walks down the ramp.

Nadia turns around and comes face to face with Krysta. Her ocular modules glow green in the shadow of her hood. "Medical Officer? That's comforting to know. Yes, I am Nadia, Nadia Hrrrthu." Her last name appears to be almost unspeakable for a human tongue. The Garik giggles a bit behind her cloth. "Don't bother with the last name. Is it departure time already?"
