Re: The Legend of Queen Opala 2

Has anyone got a complete save at the end of episode 2 that i could use for fun as i'm only part of the way through 2 and grinding levels and weapons is taking some time?

Yo,guys. Now i know this has probably been asked before somewhere in this thread, but where is the gnoll's shop?(I know it is somewhere in the village of Nazadina, but all i have ever found there was a bunch of dead soldiers, empty houses and one locked one which i can not unlock with lockpick).
Also,do you guys have any tips on grinding gold?(outside of quests as i did almost all of them, and yes that includes the dutchess velveta's quest)

He's in the locked house, you can find the expert's lockpick...
In Egypt, in the stables behind the palace.

The way I got gold was basically grinding items I needed for the top tier armor. For instance, I basically upgraded my Estate and had 50,000 in reserve by farming titanium, marbles and such for a fully geared squad before Episode 2. During episode 2, I've gotten most of my money from killing the legendary monsters (and the mobs you have to kill to unlock them) and then farming for Meteorite and Ceramic for various sets.

I don't think any monsters around drop excessive quantities of gold, they seem to be dropping steady amounts, all around. I never really paid much attention to it though since... well, I have enough. o.o

Re: The Legend of Queen Opala 2

Thanks, guys.Anyway i figured out where to get the gold i needed.I just fried about 100 of those stupid wind dragons, and voila i got all the money i will ever need. After they are poisoned, they are preety much dead, since it alone deals about 4000 damage to them, and they have about what 20000 health at most, and they are worth about 3000 gold a piece(Talk about easy money, huh).

Re: The Legend of Queen Opala 2

Early Game = Night Time = Evil Mushrooms = 200 G and 30 Exp total for each battle = once you got Milana with her Gun Barrage (clvl 5) and with Kai's Cutlass Sweep and a nearby cave entrance or edge of screen, you can rapid fire do Evil Mushroom battles for fast Exp and G.

Northern Namaria (Azure Falls) = Cockalots = I don't have the exact numbers, but they give excellent Exp and G, as once you can kill them before they run away, they're easy-fast kills-battles. (Cockalots were the best source of Exp and G in LoQO 1 game, right from the beginning of the game too!)

---------

If you can get Poison on Monsters, it does some massive damage... probably it should get nerfed... lol

Re: The Legend of Queen Opala 2

Thanks for the help guys. I actually ventured over ghost's creek way before I did the quests, but I forgot it ever existed or where it was until now.

Has anyone else got all the training cards? Other than the ones posted here.

Unfortunatly there are no more cards in this release. There are very small thumbnails though for the rest. They look awesome.

So,those training cards, wasn't there an ability to see monsters and characters that can give you those that you got from one of those quiz sages?
Anyway i have been trying to get that ability and i am fairly certain that i did almost all of those quizes,so which quiz sage gives that as a reward?(as in which city is that sage?)

He's in Thebes in one of the locked houses that need an expert lockpick (which can be found in Thebes as well, around the stables to the left of the palace as far as I remember).

Re: The Legend of Queen Opala 2

Can someone post the save (preferably western edition) from the early or middle episode II, before the Gabrielle's quest ?
I too late found this quest (already reached Thebes), so when i began to fulfill this quest, Gabrielle not appeared on the market in Grand Aideen :(

Have to say one of the biggest issue's I've had with this game is the fact that armor and hp seem to scale much quicker than damage. Toward the end everything (including the "final" boss) did no damage at all but still took forever to kill with the weapons available to me (I might be under-level, but I haven't skipped anything >_>)

Base damage scale slowly, that is true, but once you buff up, you are going to do insane damage. With group buffs availible like candy, it is easy to buff up too.

Re: The Legend of Queen Opala 2

Last boss was really easy in my opinion. And yeah weapons are a bit on a low side compared to armor, but there are tons of ways to go around that issue, like buffs, rage stones and such things. The other really good way to go around this is to just spam venom blade(which is overpowered btw) at everything,as it does work with 99% of the enemies you will ever encounter and you just have to sit and wait a few turns for enemy to die.But anyway i think that it is good not to have more powerfull weapons than those already available as it would ruin this balance, and characters would become too powerfull.

Edit:I read on some forums with discussion of this game, that people play this game more than Diablo 3(people who have played both of course) which just shows us how awesome this game is compared to even such overhyped games. This is nothing much, just a fun little fact.

The game is not balanced as is so there is not really much to ruin. As it is now fights are simply a battle of attrition as nothing in the game can outdamage you if you have a healer and have up to date armor, particularly if you leveled up a bit looking for the hidden monsters, and as you said venom blade it pretty ridiculous. It should just do a guaranteed x damage for y turns rather than a chance to do a percentage of a monsters health for infinite turns. The combat is boring and slow, which is far worse than easy and fast.

Yeah, everything you have said is preety much true, but this inbalance(or is it imbalance?) is something i can get used to,so further changes would just make it feel...akward to play. And yes battles are too slow, but with those high level abilities you can just destroy them really quikly as some of those are an overkill. That still does not change the fact that because of slow battles i tend to fight enemies only when i have to.So this slow pace of battles is the only thing that is bad about this game, but it stays a great game to kill some time with(or a lot of time if you want all achievements).
But that venom blade...now imagine a foe with a skill like that in episode 3,and we are fucked really bad...

Re: The Legend of Queen Opala 2

Alright the crazy alchemist wants me to catch a water toad, but it keeps running away.

How the hell do I catch it?

Nevermind, I needed Hunting Gear to catch it, can be found at Castle Resteed.
