Max turns to face the pair. "News, you say? Well, I have my own, but you first." he says, trying to focus his attention on the pair. "Oh, and nice to meet you Gerald, though I wish it were under better circumstances."

Quickly Synthia relays the information the Gerald told her to Max.

"You've discovered something new, you said? she asked after Max had finished responding to her story. "Has it anything to do with the monsters or their source?"

Max nods as Synthia passes along the information.

"Ah, yes, actually. I was trying a scrying spell to try and determine the source of the monsters, and I think I've found it." Max starts, inviting the pair to sit down while he explains.

"It seems they're being heralded by a leader, a massive created clad in pitch black armor, head to toe. I was able to see in the vision he uses a large whip, and is able to summon and command monsters effortlessly, likely with his thoughts, I would think. He seems to be leading the forces closer, holding them back from mindlessly walking into the walls."

Max takes a moment to catch his breath before continuing. "I have also determined that if this leader were to be slain, it would be likely that almost all the summoned monsters would disappear. Though he seems quite powerful, and from what I could tell in the vision, draws his strength from the violated women he keeps in the grasp of tentacles near him. So if a large party were to confront it, it's possible that he would simply entrap all of the women who are untrained, feeding off their strength."

Synthia frowned at the mention of this armored leader gaining strength from the women he captured.

"How powerful is he, Max? Do you think you could destroy him if we got you close enough?" Already a plan was forming in Synthia's mind. Max was a powerful wizard, easily ten times as powerful as she was. If he couldn't defeat this armored foe, then there was no hope in Synthia trying.

"Also, if he were deprived of women to feed his power, do you think his army would wither?" She asked as an add-on inquiry, her mind trying to conceive of weaknesses and points of attack.

"Possibly, but probably not by myself." Max says. "It is likely that some of his army would be weakened if some of the women could be freed, though I'm not sure how effective that might be, considering he has hundreds of them captured."


Max ponders a moment. "Though, perhaps a small part, one with members strong enough not to be instantly wiped away, could confront him and beat him, though it would still be a tough battle."

"He's no doubt positioned at the center of his army," Synthia said. "It will be next to impossible to isolate him..."

Something Max had said jumped out at her suddenly.

"Wait... you said hundreds of female captives? Are they around him all the time or is he keeping them somewhere? He can't have that many tentacles, can he?"

"Ah well, most of them are around him and behind him, carried by the tentacles of his army, which seem to link up and feed the power to him." Max clarifies.

"I think it may be possible to lure him out, however, if we manage to make the rest of his army useless in some way."

Synthia raised a brow. "It seems you might have an idea as to how to do that? Mmm?"

She wasn't liking the sound of this armored master of tentacles... one who could summon an army at will and then power it with the fuel of captured women...

It's so, gah, out of those hentai movies I sometimes watched online. So many of those things have bad ends these days, I hope this game doesn't head in that direction.

She looked worriedly over at Gerald. "I don't suppose you know who exactly this armored foe could be? Maybe if we knew more about his past, we might discover a weakness?"

Max shakes his head for the moment. "The best I can come up with right now is perhaps a bluff, or I could perhaps try to cast something which does make his army worthless for a while, but I doubt I could enter the battle proper with you if that was the case."

Gerald shakes his head as well, indicating he has no idea. "No...never heard of this before, maybe he's arrogant and will accept a head on challenge? Who knows."

Synthia gains a bonus if she comes up with a plan, otherwise Max will come up with an idea.

"Hmmm... we could appeal to his pride, or to his apparent never-ending desire - or perhaps to both," Synthia muttered to herself, and then looking up at Max she smirked.

"Do you think he'd be intrigued by a parley? A pretty woman wanting to negotiate with him? He might be so amused at the naivety that he could let someone like me pass by his army and confront him. He might very well enjoy the thought of breaking down a challenger - particularly a woman. Max could come with me as an adviser, and when we were close enough, you could cast your spell and try to weaken him to the point where I might finish him off."

She cast a sidelong glance at Gerald. "Or we, I guess there'd be little point in trying to stop you from coming if I were to try such a zany idea." She grinned and pinched Gerald's cheek.

Max nods. "That seems a decent play, I figure it may be worth it to try."

Gerald of course, will only allow this plan if he's allowed to accompany Synthia, and suggests they should bring perhaps an extra person as well.

"Very well," Synthia said in answer to Gerald's suggestion. "But it needs to be a volunteer, and they need to know exactly what they're being asked to do. Someone who's good in a fight and won't balk even if the worst seems to be happening."

In her own head, Synthia was wondering if there'd be a save point before trying this kookie plan out. She could only imagine that defeat against such a foe would mean humiliation and endless rape - and she didn't want to lose everything she'd gained so far.

Gerald and Max both agree to the condition, that and that only one other person will come.

Synthia calls for a lineup of the most experienced in the fortress, having them all line up.

Although she has a good number to choose from, Synthia is quite disappointed to learn that the best are all also women, sadly none of the other men in the fort quite make it up to scratch that they might be useful in the fight.

Synthia chose her most promising student, Marie, to accompany them.

Marie was in truth a natural fighter, possessing an innate athleticism that surpassed even Synthia, but lacked any intuition with magic. She was skilled with polearms, and particularly favored a long glaive, which she could use both from on horseback and on foot. She dressed in light clothes and silks, and showed off much of her long legs during her practice hours in the middle of the town square, where she attracted much attention from young male suitors.

Synthia chose her because she was as skilled as any other student, with only Annie being her equal, and because unlike the more reserved Annie, Synthia was quite certain that the flirtatious Marie was not a virgin.

Marie was happy to assist Synthia, telling her she was quite aware of the consequences of failure, and while scary, she wouldn't let the thought of it distract her.

Max and Gerald talked for a moment about the plan, before Gerald walked over to her, giving her a big kiss, grabbing her ass with one hand in a way that no one saw and only Synthia knew meant that he wanted to have a bit of fun right now as he whispered into her ear that he wanted this to be the last memory if anything went bad with the plan.

Max headed off to hand out orders and prepare for the 'parlay'.

Synthia had told Marie what might happen, but knowing that her student was brave and more than willing to stand by her teacher, it was no surprise that the harsh realities of their quest did little to dissuade her. Patting Marie on the shoulder, Synthia said that she would do her best to look out for her, and informed her that she should be ready to leave in about one hour.

Wandering back from the women's quarters of their hastily made bivouac, Gerald quickly found and intercepted her, taking her into his arms and squeezing her suggestively while he kissed her. She raised her leg along his thighs and wrapped it around him in affirmation of his desire.

Gerald leads Synthia into the shadows of one of the buildings, where no one would pass by or see them, well, maybe someone would, but that would be half of the excitement. He pulled some rope from one of his bags, letting her determine how she'd like to be tied this time, as he gives her a look of lust.
