The leader props herself up, she would later introduce herself as Ashley, the redhead as Mary, and the third girl as Julie.

"Well, we're not quite sure if there's anything special about it, but we decided it was probably a decent spot to set up camp next too." Ashley started.

"But we took a peek inside earlier, and we found it has a basement..." continued Mary, Julie finishing it off "Which is odd for a building in a swamp, right? So we thought we'd go explore it today."

Getting up, Ai listens to the girls tell her about their findings. There's strenght in numbers, so she asks them "Should I join you? It'll be safer to go down there with more of us."

The girls sort of look at each other. "Sure, I guess?" Ashley says after a moment. "But first you're probably hungry, join us for breakfast!"

Breakfast was a simple fair of some preserved rations cooked in a way that they tasted a bit better than usual, Ai getting a chance to listen in on the girls talk a bit about the swamp and some of the fun they've had as an adventuring group.

Happy with the positive reply, Ai joins the girls on the suggested breakfast. Eating modestly like she's used to, she listens to their stories about adventuring. "They really like going on their adventures together..." she thinks while listening. After the meal, she starts gathering her stuff, readying herself for the coming exploration

Ai grabs her weapon as the girls also ready themselves, Mary picked up a large bow, Jamie grabbing her sword and a shield, and Ashley picking up a large ax.

And with that, the party descended into the basement, the mucky swamp air following them down as they make their way down the stairs, avoiding slipping and falling as the swamp still seeps through. They arrive in a stone room at the bottom, maybe twenty by twenty to twenty-five feet large. A torch burns on one wall, revealing the darkness in the distance as two doorways, one of which seems to have a slight shimmer, the other one only revealing stairs deeper into the darkness.

Picking up her naginata, Ai looks over as the others gear up. She's impressed by their well-balanced party. "They really need a magic user. Shame I'm not one..."

She enters the swamp tower basement with the rest of the party. Going down the steps, she walks carefully to avoid slipping on the slime-watery stairs. As they reach the room downstairs, she looks over the options they have " A dark place and a shimmery place..." After a brief though, Ai decides she'll head to the deeper parts of the tower

The other girls stand around and start to talk to each other about which way to go, while Ai decides to move on and check out the stairway. As Ai takes her first couple of steps on the stairs, she hears a small clicking sound, and before much else can happen, a wall slams down behind her, blocking her exit and trapping her on the stairs, which soon turn into an angled slope, the slippery surface almost impossible to get a hold on.

Ai hears the other girls run up and slam into the wall, trying to find a way to open it and save her...

As she steps into the darkened stairway, Ai is startled by the sudden click, followed by a loud crashing sound. Suddenly finding herself in an uncontrollable situation, she can only slide down the slope as she hears the girls trying to open the door

Ai finds herself sliding down the slimly slope, the circular stairs become a slide. She spots the bottom right before it becomes too late to do anything, noticing a deep pit, she manages to get enough resistance to hop over it at the end, using her naginata for a bit of an extra boost, just clearing the pit as she lands on the other side.

Looking behind here, there seems to be a very disappointed slime on the bottom.

Sliding down the slope, Ai sees the bottom rapidly approaching. "Falling in there.. won't end well for me." Trying to build up resistance, she readies her polearm. Almost at the pit's edge, she takes the leap, boosting her jump with the naginata's shaft. Flying through the air, she notices the slime. Preparing to grab the edge, she hopes for the best. But the jump succeeds beyond her expectations, as she lands on the other with a small thud

Now safely at the other side, she's relieved to have made the jump, instead of falling in the slime-infested pit. Dusting herself off, she takes a look at the surroundings

Ai takes a look around, there doesn't seem to be much in the room at all, aside from the slime pit. There's two exists, one which seems to continue along the floor normally, one which seems to have stairs upwards? Though she notices that odd shimmering that there was at the other door upstairs.

She can't hear the rest of the party anymore.

As there seems to be nothing else there besides the slime pit, Ai ponders the exits. The others seem to be gone from the door she came in, so no point trying to reach back there. Deciding to head upwards, she gets on the stairs, wary of another slider

Ai takes a careful look before going up the stairs, it seems to be webs that give the shimmering. And she thinks she sees a way up the portion she can see which doesn't bring her in contact with any, but it's still dark, and who knows if she'd be able to make it all the way up like that. And who knows what lurks in the darkness.

But the other way, doesn't seem likely to contain an exit...

As the other way doesn't seem to have anything in the way of exits, Ai decides to take her chance at the webby stairs. Carefully picking her path, she starts to climb up the stairway

Ai carefully makes her way up the stairs, being careful as the stairs themselves seem slippery, however, it's not three steps up that she slips, falling forward and into the webs. She finds it a little bit odd that the webs support her weight, stopping her from landing on the ground, though she also quickly find they are extremely sticky and not really willing to let go.

Carefully getting up some stairs, Ai quickly feels herself slip. Bracing herself for a painful impact with the stairs or ground, she instead finds herself suspended by the webbing. Not really wanting to stay in the sticky web, she attempts to struggle herself out

Ai finds her struggled fruitless, in fact, she seems to find herself more entangled now, and somehow upside down, legs and arms all stuck in the web. Above, she thinks she can hear some skittering, though she also thinks she can hear the fair scream of the girls from before, something must have happened to them.

Struggling hard to escape, Ai's attempt only brings her further troubles. Now suspended upside-down, she's tangled even worse now. She can hear something coming, along with screams that seem to be coming from the other girls. Not wanting to face the creature like this, she can only think of another escape attempt

Ai struggles more, making no progress, but she luckily doesn't find herself any worse, the skittering coming closer, from behind her, and she can't turn her head to see what it is. The girls screams from before are sort of muffled now, as if something was gagged them, likely.

Realizing this might be her last chance, Ai puts up a fervent struggle, shaking her body around in a frenzy.
