Re: Help with Ryonasaga

Certain attacks do move characters around a bit, and sometimes noticeably downward (speaking on past experience here, not working with recent example, just game mechanics). When your characters are moved, they will return to their original position after certain actions, for example, using a hip attack or being picked up by certain enemies and dropped.

The 'Mugen factor' gets a little out of hand sometimes, same way as with ryonaRPG. One thing I do like aboout the latter is that it seems that one person has singled out a few characters and gone very, very, very detailed with them (Nakoruru and Mesartim). Custom sprites for slime, parasites and tentacle pods is lots of win for me. In Ryonasaga, I want to see more characters get a cut-in scene (like Saki has) for the related devour skill, and more enemies that use the skill, or perhaps combine the 2+ existing devour skills.

Re: Help with Ryonasaga

If I recall correctly, it's possible to modify the source files and then compile the game into a full ASCII version. It would be annoying though, having to go through line after line of C++ code. A rudimentary understanding of coding in C++/compiling is required for that. Also, the positions for sex attacks can be fixed as the character files store the pixel locations of parts such as the head, crotch, and body (they can be viewed ingame as red/green/blue dots I believe). Changing them is troublesome and annoying. Haven't played this game in a while.

...AHH~! Ok, now I understand. Yeah, taking damage will indeed 'shift' you downwards a little, but it shouldn't be so much so they go off the screen outright unless you are using Watch Mode...

RyonaRPG's been getting far more development as of late with the new 'Rubber' event's en all. I too wish the vore attack's, more less the cut-in's period where used more, but most of the artist who worked on RyonaSaga are now all strung up on RyonaRPG :/ I was LUCKY to get Camel to do that one for my Q-Bee, forget trying to get anything for Roomi unless we got an artist in the house ;~;

One thing you can do thought is just replace all monster's skills from normal devour, to just have only cut-in devour instead. It's the same attack, it's just that one has an animation before it.

That's indeed true, but I lack the coding know how to devote to such a job to make a more 'English' equivalent .exe. The source files ARE there thought in the folders if one wanted to edit such, but I'm not skilled enough for that job. Yeah, modifying those points is some of the hardest aspects developing a character. The artist too, but there are always alternatives for that...

Re: Help with Ryonasaga

Hi. I'm the guy that made that revised translation and if anyone has any issues with it, I'd really like to hear about them so I can fix them. Any misleading descriptions, or anything fucked up at all. By the way here's the full tl zip, Lipucd forgot the readme and half-translated dungeons. The events work fine though. Next time rsaga gets updated I should hopefully have the time to fix anything that gets broken. Otherwise... I'm not in any hurry to fix the dungeons.

This is going to make the dungeons a lot more comprehensible. Thank you.
CaptainSledge, lipucd, would you mind if I uploaded these files onto Eka's Portal? I know the thread there is a bit slow these days, but it's where I try to keep everything centralized and linked to from the FAQ.

All I ask is that you include the readme and such when posting it. A link to the thread would also be nice, so that I can follow it.

Of course.

: I try to make this the central point from which you can quickly find anything for RyonaSaga.

Ah, a little clarification, I rewrote all of the item and skill descriptions also. That was the original goal of the translation, to make Lipucd's work more consistent. Ended up rewriting it all by hand.

Sure, but do note that it's Been mostly CaptainSledge, my good pal, who's been working the hardest as of late as I've been a far more supportive role. Other things keep getting my focus, so I haven't had much in the way to devote towards keeping things on track. He's been EXTREMELY resourceful when I couldn't.

I've been MEANING to get my ass back there, but I've been locked out of my account somehow.

Then I commend you on your work, CaptainSledge. I've only given the files a brief look so far, but the organization is lovely. I'll amend the credit given appropriately.

hey just wondering but there's no chance of ryonarpg having an english version is there? >.> like 2/3 of the time i spent on that was to look up what items I had lol
also does that site you posted have the most recent version of ryonarpg? 0.o I have another version.... that has like 2-3 times more characters. Or is that an old one that they changed?

btw I'm SO enjoying ryonasaga atm. The only thing is I kind of wish there was a "campaign" where you fight progressively harder enemies instead of just an arena, but the arena is nice too, especially since you can set up custom mobs in testing and survival is a blast. The only major "balance" issue i have with this really is.. melty kiss stuns 100% of the time and mental potion doesn't work properly. But besides that really, EPIC game, thanks a ton you guys.

Re: Help with Ryonasaga

The rsaga warehouse does have the latest version. It's updated on a daily basis most of the time, but I think I know what your problem is. That little box in the top right? Move your selection over to the left side of that and use it. The first group is fighters, the second is mages, the third is battlemages, and the fourth is other characters. I hope that helps.

As for an endless campaign, there IS The Battlefield dungeon, but the monsters are much less varied than those you would find in the arena. It does also have boss encounters. It's one of the only dungeons I haven't finished translating. Also, you are mistaken, mental potion works fine, it cures coma, which is the state for not having any mana by giving 1 mana, and it cures ??? and hypnotize. It doesn't cure stun. No regular potions cure stun, only the remedy does.

thanks man, i never would have figured that out lol. too impatient XD

Ahh i see. But i mean it'd be cool yknow to investigate why there's so many slimes in a town etc etc, and ZOMG what do you know it's a queen! and she has 4-8 other slimes with her! oh noes XD you know what I mean? set pieces with some nice background set up the mood and tension really well for these types of games. oh well though

oh yea and is scratchpad wiki the only place that has an FAQ for this? I can't get my translator thingy to work and that data is outdated I think >.>
if there isn't, when creating a character, any idea what the questions where you input numbers are for?

Re: Help with Ryonasaga

Scratchpad wiki is very outdated. If I had to guess, though, I'd assume what you're talking about are the sensitivity numbers. You can either allocate them yourself, do it with a gui, or have the game automatically do it for you randomly. That's not a recent addition though, it should be on scratchpad.

I didn't mean the sensitivity stuff. I have that stuff down pat after so many characters XD What i meant was the stuff before it gives you the option of customizing the sensitivity. There's a couple of questions where you have to enter a number, the first time i think it was a number between 1-10

Oh, that I do think is about text speed display. at least the 1-10 part anyway. They did add a few new things at the start, but if you are having issues, use AGTP and a translator program to help get an understanding of the game, or lackign that, try using hongfire's self made ITH program to gather the text from.

Weird. I always use the newest betas and I don't recall anything about these numbers you're talking about.

yea I think it's like the lower the number is the faster the display is. And thanks for suggesting AGTP.... but I spent way too long triying to get that to work for succubus quest and didn't get anywhere >.>
what are the 4 options after you manually set sensitivity though?

and one more thing... can you just explain the magic menu? yknow like when u goto menu you have 2 options right? the second one is magic menu i think. But what exactly are the components? thanks in advance

sorry 1 more thing >.< if you can please link me a post of where someone explains the new debug tool menus.

i deduced so far these for the debug tool
p 6 option 2 option 3 = dog version or other such
p 3 option 1 option 1 = status conditions
p 4 option 1 option 4 = money
p 6 option 3 = sensitivity
