Mei-Lien punched at the slime, which wobbled and shrank a little at the blow, and Hannah threw several fireballs at it; while both made contact, one of them seemingly just stopped when it hit the slime, and after a few seconds the slime bounced it back at the mage, catching her off guard and hitting her. The slime then moved to engulf Mei-Lien, causing her to feel a little bit tired as it wrapped around her knees. Her struggles against it were futile, but Hannah came through with a couple of fireballs that knocked it off of her, though the slime soon made its way onto her again.

With her heated fist burning onto the slime and reducing it's mass, Mei felt somewhat confident about the continuance of the battle from this simple but good start. Before she could get back a safe distance however, the slime was already onto her, it's red bodymass rolling in to engulf the fighter's legs. Despite her initial flailing and kicking, the slime wouldn't let up until Hannah fireballed it a bit more seriously. Still, a slight trip prevented the redhead from escaping too far, and she found herself back to square one as a result. "Get off me! Damn gooball!" Mei cursed as she tried to flail with her legs some more, hoping to get rid of this sizey slime at her feet as quick as possible.

Mei-Lien's thrashing forced the slime off her, though it soon forced its way back onto her. Again a fireball from Hannah knocked it back and shrank it off the redhead, but again it surged forward, engulfing Mei-Lien up to her knees. Her struggling seemed to be in vain, the thing simply rolling with whatever punch she gave to it, and this time Hannah's fireball was reflected back at her as the slime surged up to Mei-Lien's thighs.

"Oh damn you! Sticky fucker, off me!" Mei cursed even louder as the smacked slime retreated, but simply rolled back afterwards to engulf her in it's mass again. No strike after that caused results, but the redhead was getting angry at this thing that dared to cling onto her so profusely. It might be her last chance, but the martial artist had no other option than trying to dislodge the bastard with some more trashing

Mei-Lien's thrashing produced no result, but just as the slime was about to surge up her body again a timely fireball from Hannah knocked it back, allowing Mei-Lien to get in a good hit on the lump of goo, and the mage to launch another fireball. The slime launched itself at Mei-Lien one last time, but the redhead smashed it to tiny pieces with a strong right hook.

"Won't you stop that!" the fighter yelled as her struggles proved fruitless against the slimy grip. But Hannah's fireball was there to get her out, and soon enough the teamwork of the girls managed to weaken the slime enough. With a final suicide dive, the thing attempted to force itself onto the fighter. But Mei had the slime's number, and she smashed it to little blobs with an accurate strike while it was in the air.

Picking off the excess slime from her upper body, the redhead would lead them towards the other door in the room once Hannah had gathered her wits.

Hannah had to heal herself briefly after taking a few of her own fireballs, clearing up some slight burn wounds to her face and hands. When she was done with that, she made her way to the next room behind Mei-Lien. It was laid out similarly to the others they had encountered so far, with the same elaborate metal and stone work on the walls and doors; it was a strangely beautiful basement dungeon for a castle. This room, however, had a single huge web at one corner of the room, and on it was perched a woman, with the lower body of a giant spider. "Oooooh, visitors. Wonderful!" she crooned, slowly stepping off her web and onto the floor.

The former champion saw Hannah heal her own damages before the pair could move forward in their investigation. "Good as new." she remarked, patting the mage on her back as they went to into the room beyond a relatively ordinary door. There was another layout of similar fancy carvings on the other side, surprising for what was basically a dungeon. But there was issues to be had here as well, a monstrous humanoid with a female human's upper body and a spider's lower parts. "Doesn't look like we'll be getting away without a fight..." Mei thought as she saw the arachne drop, already moving towards it in preparaton for the first strike.

Mei-Lien ran at the arachne, landing a strong punch to the monstergirl's stomach as Hannah flung her fireballs at the creature. The arachne was clever enough to see through that attack, however, and as she backed out of the way she shot a thin strand of web at the mage from her backside, entangling her a little. She then shot more of the webbing at Mei-Lien, managing to entangle her as well. This impediment kept her from hitting the spider-girl with her next attack, but Hannah managed to connect with both of her fireballs. Still, this didn't stop the arachne from further webbing Mei-Lien another few times, the fighter's efforts at a counterattack somewhat clumsy. It was getting to the point that much more of the webbing would disable her.

With a strong opening, Mei started the fight with a straight to the gut of the hybrid facing them. The creature didn't get too bothered with it though, and eagerly webbed both girls some. The continual sprays kept on disturbing the redhead's attacks, and it was starting to get hard to fight. Seeing the situation for her was getting kind of bad, the girl focused her attention purely on escaping instead of attempting to attack with all that webbing hampering her.

Mei-Lien's efforts ripped most of the webbing off her, while Hannah launched a successful fireball at the arachne that prevented her from trying to web Mei-Lien again. This also gave Mei-Lien the opening to deliver a quick punch to the spider-woman's gut, but the monster was able to easily web her again from such close range, putting Mei-Lien once again in a perilous position.

Putting up a suitably fervent struggle, Mei broke off most of the sticke sheets that had been farted onto her. A well-timed fireball opened up a quick striking spot for the redhead, which she capitalized on by landing a crushing blow onto the spider-woman. But the same situation was brought onto her again as the arachne sprayed her silk once more. "This is getting repetitive. And annoying." the martial artist thought, seeking to escape some of the webbing before moving to the attack again.

Mei-Lien's attempts to break free from the webbing failed this time, and a fireball from Hannah failed to stop the arachne from hitting the redhead with more thick strands of sticky web, now completely pressing her arms against her body and partially squeezing her legs. She continued to struggle to no avail as the monstergirl turned her attention to Hannah, webbing the mage a little more, though she soon managed to burn the webs off her. The arachne seemed exasperated and annoyed at the resilience of her foes, and she began to retreat towards her web. "Fine then, go. Leave my lair."

Despite putting up a fervent struggle, the redhead soon found herself unable to move her arms at all, just barely able to stand upright. Seeing some further battling between Hannah and the spider-woman, she tried to get out as the two fought. But the mage's fire seemed to be upsetting the opposition, and they started to back away. "Don't you fucking back away now after humiliating me like this! I'll tear your eyes out!" Mei yelled at her, still stuck in the partial cocoon of silk. She was not happy about this outcome, wanting a proper conclusion after all this tangling.

"Hmph. You still want to fight? Well, you can't at this point, and I don't want to. I suppose it's up to your friend, then, what happens" the arachne said from her perch on her web, staring down Hannah. The mage, for her part, seemed nervous, and was slowly inching towards Mei-Lien. "Let's just get out of here" she said, then mouthed "I don't know if I can beat her" to the redhead.

"Dammit...." Mei cursed the situation and the arachne's words. Still struggling against the webbing, she found herself getting slightly redfaced by the situation she was in. Did she really like it? Or was it shame? Nonetheless, she was recalled away from her thoughts and back into the situation by the slowly-moving Hannah. "I suppose you can't. Get me free so we can move on then." she replied, waiting for her release. Once that did happen, she would take them forward again.

Hannah walked over to Mei-Lien and freed her from the webbing with a careful, small burst of fire, and then followed her back out of the room. They crossed around the stairs, passing on down the left side of the hallway until they reached a T-junction, one way a door, and the other a long hallway. They chose the door, and upon entering it they found an empty room with a chest in the center of it. The chest was emitting small little bursts of magical energy every few seconds.

Freed from her bondage, Mei was a bit dissappointed that she was taken out so fast, but it was pretty inevitable. Shrugging away the remaining bits of silk, she took the front once more. Leaving the room behind, they followed the corridors and entered the door on the right as had been customary up to this point. Inside, there was a room with a slightly more interesting chest than the ones before now. "That's... weird. Can you do something about that? Or should I just use my reflexes to reach for it during the downtime?" the redhead asked from Hannah

"I don't think there's anything I can do about it. It's strange, I'm not sure what would cause that... It's happening at a regular interval, so it's probably some sort of magical item, but I can't think of anything powerful enough to give off energy like this" Hannah replied, walking up close to the chest, but not opening it herself.

Despite all her previous chest-related incidents, the fighter was determined to see the contents of this magic-spewing container. Hannah's words only added further fuel to the fire of her interest, even if it was an item that only the mage could use. "Right. I'm taking a shot at opening it." Mei announced her intentions. If her dress had sleeves, she would've rolled them up before going for the lid, trying her best to get in there during an break in the poofs. It was unsure to them if the magic was harmful or not, so the fighter took that precaution.
