Eh, too bad I don't care for Game Over CGs. I want the sexy stuff happen in the game itself and that's where Iris Action is lacking. The gameplay is solid, the graphics are pretty neat and the animations are very fluid, but Y U NO RAPE INGAME
EXACTLY!!!
I mean don't get me wrong, the gameplay is pretty nice in and of itself. However, after a certain point of playing the game, you end up having to come to a complete stop and say:
"Hmmm....you know what? I'd better get the next checkpoint and stop killing monsters so I can see what CG I
might be able to unlock by dying purposefully.
The CG's are amazing yes, but they are the best aspect of the game in my eyes. By making a ton of game over CG's that you in essence have to hunt for only by getting game overs....you are effectively separating the best part of the game from the main part of the game, which kinda sucks.
Remember the Boa Hancock? Most of those CG's were mediocre, and limited to one type of enemy, HOWEVER it was IMPLEMENTED INGAME which gave the game it's hook (despite how repetitive the gameplay might have been)
Now just think..... Exactly this game, implemented in the same way Boa Hancock was....
I rest my case.
there are many, many in-game sequences, actually i think EVERY monster with a game over CG has one, some of them do different things than the CGS even
Those are fine...if you like seeing one sprite hastily pasted on top of another
as opposed to a full fledged CG....
Not to mention, a fair amount of those still only happened when you ran out of health....
