Anne's face goes even redder, if possible. "Oh. Um, I-i think I'll go make another dive with Willow. S-so we won't fall too much behind in studying."

Anne goes and whispers something to Willow who giggles, blushing again, and the two put scuba gear back on, heading back to the labyrinth after taking a look at the map.

"You... go on ahead..." Jessica replied, fidgeting nervously as Annie blushed brighter, knowing that the girl had some idea what had happened. Willow's giggle when Anne whispered to her didn't help things, but they quickly put on their scuba gear and swam into labyrinth after taking a brief look at Jessica's little map. Rather than face the doctor immediately, she decided to fill in the parts of the map that she could after her exploration earlier that day.

The sun is still high in the sky, and Miller seems entirely focused on trying to translate the markings on the vase, leaving Jessica by herself.

Having mapped out all that she could, Jessica walked back outside again, finding the doctor still focused on the vase, seemingly translating the writing on it. The nerd walked closer to her, blushing, and knelt down near her, asking "is there anything I can help with?"

Miller avoids looking at Jessica, instead focusing on the copying the script. "Um... I don't think so. Why don't you see if you can get us some fresh food? The canned stuff doesn't have much variety."

"Fresh food?" Jessica asked, thinking whether or not she had seen any such thing in her tent or supplies. She didn't think that she had, but she had seen a fishing rod rigged for ocean fishing laying amongst some of her things. "I can do that, I hope" she replied, walking back to her tent to get the rod and tackle and then coming back out, fiddling around for a moment with the artificial lure she chose before casting it out and beginning to reel it in. She wasn't exactly an avid fisher, but her dad had taken her on a few fishing trips, so she had some idea of what to do.

Jessica manages to catch a few fishes in the thirty minutes it takes for Anne and Willow to return. By then Miller has moved to using a crate as a table as she works on translating the symbols she has copied. After changing clothes, Willow comes to Jessica while Anne starts pulling out cooking implements. "Do you want help preparing the fish?"

Jessica was a little bit better at fishing than she had remembered herself being, or she was just lucky, as she had caught four reasonably-sized fish in the thirty minutes before the two other assistants returned. "Oh, yes" Jessica replied to Willow's offer, "I never was that great at cooking, especially not without stoves and things." Besides, she had no idea how to actually clean a fish.

Willow quickly shows Jessica how to clean a fish and by the time all four are done, Anne already has some water boiling in a kettle. It doesn't take very long for the potatoes to cook and the fish to fry and the meal turns out to be quite tasty.

Jessica watched once as Willow quickly and efficiently cleaned one of the fish. It was sort of disgusting, but at the same time interesting. The nerd cleaned the next one herself, doing a pretty good job of it, though the other woman had finished with the other two by the time she was done. Anne was already preparing the cooking side of things, and they quickly had the fish and some potatoes cooked and ready. The five of them then sat down and ate. "Mmm, this is quite good" she said between bites, and it was true. Anne had done a good job with the fish. Once they were done she asked "so what now?"

Miller gets up with a yawn. "It's been a long day. I think I'll go for a walk. Maybe I'll find some fruits or berries we can have with breakfast."

Anne and Willow start washing dishes and cleaning up as Miller walks towards the forest covering most of the island.

Jessica watched the doctor yawn as she answered, and of course it made her yawn as well."A walk sounds nice, it feels good out here right about now" she said, getting up to follow Miller. "As long as you two don't mind. I don't want to just up and leave all the work to you" she said as she turned to look at Anne and Willow, still walking more slowly towards the trees.

Anne and Willow don't really pay much attention to Jessica, instead whispering with each other as they work. Some way to the forest Miller comes upon a banana tree and starts trying to climb it, repeatedly sliding down.

Shrugging as the two assistants pay her no mind, Jessica walks into the forest after the doctor. It isn't deep into the forest before Miller decides she wants to climb a banana tree, sliding down somewhat comically each time she tries. "Want a boost?" Jessica asked as she came upon the tree, cupping her hands for the doctor to step on.

Jessica happens to look up just as a giant spider with ash gray chitin armor protecting the sturdy form appears from within the branches and she manages to throw herself aside as it drops a web. Miller isn't so lucky and gets caught and pinned to the ground, desperate reaching for her pistol.

Jessica looked up as she moved to give the doctor a boost up, only to see a giant spider looking down at them. "Ahhh crap!" she shouted, jumping out of the way just in time to avoid the webbing that it dropped down on Dr. Miller. "Crap crap crap" she muttered, trying to help the doctor get out of the webbing so they could run. She didn't have her harpoon, and there was no way she was going to stick around with a giant spider if she didn't have to...

As Jessica tries to free Miller, the woman manages to pull her handgun free and the shot echoes in the trees as the bullet whizzes past the spider who shoots more web at Miller, making Jessica's attempts to free her seem futile. "Run, Jessica!"

Jessica worked futilely to free the doctor, not managing to do more than allow her to move her arm. Miller managed to pull out her gun and shoot at the spider, but apparently it wasn't enough, and more web shot down onto her. "I can't do that!" she shouted, not willing to abandon the doctor to the spider, and she tried to pick Miller up and run, though she would have a hard time of it considering her poor arm strength.

As Miller shoots another bullet at the monstrous spider, Jessica manages to pull her free, but before she has taken more than a few steps, a web snares her legs, sending her stumbling to the ground.

Jessica managed to pull the doctor free and take off running with her, but she had only taken two or three steps away from the tree before webbing shot against her legs, forcing them together and making her stumble to the ground. Quickly she tried to crawl forward, kicking her legs desperately to break the webbing.
