Raven remained motionless, though Marla was the one to struggle. "Rope!? Blindfolds!? Stop-stop-stop!" she insisted, but became bound and blindfolded anyway.

But their arguments ceased when their faces were forced together, Marla struggling while Raven didn't protest, kissing Marla as Celes and Locke desired. Finding their way to the city, and speaking with the desk clerk who works for IMA, they got their answer.

"There are three kinds of tournaments you can sign up for. Casual branch, Privilege branch, and the Ranked branch. Casual branches are exactly that, casual competitions that Ranchers participate in to earn money. The Privilege branch is actually in place as a failsafe to ensure that Ranchers do not go into dangerous areas with their mamono, unprepared. So you must fight with the guardian of an errantry location before you are given the privilege to venture into the dangerous grounds beyond civilization."

She leaned over her desk, and raised a finger. "What you're looking for is the Ranked branch. Among all three branches, this is the most difficult competition to take on, because after you make it past the tournament finals of that competition, you must face the IMA representative of that tournament's grade. For example, if you were Rank D, and you defeated your opponent in the finals..." she directed her raised finger to herself with a smile.

"You would have to face me."

"Oh, well, then, I guess I'll have some time before I face you, eh heh..." Locke said, a little unsure of how the nice woman behind the desk was looking at him. "Then I suppose I'd like to sign up Marla here for the Rank E ranked tournament. How many opponents can we expect her to face?"

"Do hurry," the girl over the counter urged Locke, before leaning forward suggestively. "And I hope you'll be up for a domination duel against me, an agreement made between opponents for the winner to rape the loser, and humiliate them." she informed him, before taking his chin gently in her hand. Leaning back, she lightly pet her hand along Locke's cheek teasingly before answering his question. "Three opponents in total. Four trainers enter in the tournament, and face against each other until only one is left. That one faces the Rank Champion in a duel to determine if the trainer and his partner are worthy enough to graduate to the next rank. More cash rewards are granted if a domination duel is agreed beforehand, as it brings in more sales. The crowd loves to see the loser absolutely dominated after a battle, hehehe..." she announced with a dark chuckle, as if the desk clerk did domination duels for anything but the money.

Locke gulped as the woman held his chin in her hand. "Um well, that's er... interesting to know... that you want to rape me in front of an approving city. You really make it seem appealing. Eh heh..."

Locke's voice didn't quite display the same meaning that his words implied. He swiftly latched on to another subject. "What did you mean by shutting us down? Do we have some sort of major penalty for losing a Ranked Tournament? Y'know, other than the whole rape thing if it were that kind've match?"

After the rapist desk clerk had given her answer to this, Locke shrugged.

"Well, we've got to try it anyway. Please sign Marla up for the Ranked E tournament. Just tell us where and when and we'll be there for our first match."

During this time, Celes merely gave the desk clerk a disapproving glare. In her mind, she was hoping that Locke did go for the domination challenge, and when he won, Celes was gonna join him in teaching this bimbo a lesson.

"It's generally very humiliating to lose such a match. So much so that many Ranchers quit their careers after being subject to the whims of the winner. There's no entry fee for the lower ranked tournaments, so there's no physical penalty for losing. And if you don't agree to a domination duel, then you won't have to worry about that kind of penalty either."

After she said that, she wrote down something on the desk in front of her, before nodding to Locke. "The tournament for you will be held this Monday, in the arena district; shouldn't be too hard to find if you use a map. You may switch your mamono out between each match, as some Ranchers like to do to vary their strategy, and play on their partner's advantages. Oh, and you may bring one item with you into each match. I suggest you visit Verde's shop and purchase some items, just in case of an emergency." she suggested, before glancing over to Celes and her glaring, and smiling wickedly at her, as if saying, 'I welcome the challenge.'

"Anyway, you're all set. If what I hear is correct about you taking down a Magi mamono, then you shouldn't have too many issues with winning this Ranked tourney." she assured him. "Although, after this, you should think about getting a third partner, and helping out IMA representatives such as myself and... Deepening your relationships." she chuckled. "At the very least, you will be opening more of the island's horizons to yourself. We have important jobs here at IMA, and can't really take time away to go take care of any issue reckless, wild mamono causes, you know? In any case, any IMA member would be glad to have you help them out."

"Ah Monday? Great! Thanks for that," Locke said, happy to have acquired his objective. He had simply nodded mutely at the desire of most ranchers to quit after being so humiliated. He really didn't want to have any compulsion to give up weighing on him, so this lady wasn't doing a very good job of making a domination match quite so appealing. Locke could be a spunky lover at times, but he didn't have any real desire to humiliate this girl on the off chance he should win the first time out.

"Yeah I'll definitely check out Verde's shop. If that advantage is open to the other competitors, I'll want Marla to have access to it as well. Celes merely drummed her fingers on her arm as she scowled. A movement behind her managed to distract her and she turned to see that Raven had come up quite close to her. Celes unfolded her arms and slid one around the black harpy's waist.

"Despite what you may have been on the mainland, little boy, you are simply a cute and delicious looking young man here.
