Ripple was struck silent. She thought, stirred, looked up, looked down, before her face flushed with embarrassment as she looked to Locke as if she were a lost child.

"Oh. No need to be embarrassed, uh... howabout um, well, what acquatic mamono do you like? Aside from mermaids of course!" He smiled, rephrasing the question in a way she might be more comfortable with.

Ripple responded in kind, and with a happy face, "Sea Bishops! They're very kind and selfless, true defenders of Atlantis!" she boasted. While that was her answer, a Sea Bishop's power ranking listed is incredibly high, and the amount of prestige a Rancher would need to earn one to their side is well beyond what Locke has to show.

"Ah heh heh... Sea Bishops are very noble, unfortunately they're a bit beyond my current rancher prestige. I have to earn my way up to them.... hrmm..." Locke thought about things for a moment.

"Howabout a slime? They're acquatic, sorta, right? I've heard they're very loyal mamono. And easy to feed as well!" Locke chuckled. "Let's go try to find one of those."

"Huh?" she gestured in confusion, before announcing, "Sea slimes? Um... Loyal... Maybe?" she said, confused. "I heard they're loyal and playful, but also that they're simple. I was told when I was young to avoid sea slimes that are outside of the city, because untamed sea slimes, though still playful, can be dangerous..."

"Howabout just a normal slime?" Locke waved the mamonodex in front of him. "It says here that they're incredibly loyal and strong. They're simple, yes, but they should be tamable. I mean,that's what ranchers do right? We bring in wild mamono and make them a part of rancher society, living in harmony with the rest of us. So let's see where we could find a slime."

He looked down at the available excursion areas and planned out a visit to one that had slime habitats within it.

Ripple seemed a bit confused, but went along with it when Locke seemed to have decided. Then, Locke had his week to plan out. A Rancher's life offered little rest, and lots of adventure.

"Then it's settled, we'll go shop for a few supplies, and then set out immediately on an excursion. Celes will stay here and take care of Mika, while the three of you accompany me. Marla and Raven, you'll defend us and hopefully help me catch the next lovely member of our ranch."

So saying, Locke made his plans and then set off with the three of them to visit the shop, where he purchesed two more mint leafs and two more mangos.

Afterwards they returned to the ranch, where Locke packed some traveling clothes, as well as a camping tent for himself at night. It would be big enough he suspected to comfortably house himself and one other, or all four of them if people were willing to squeeze together.

Bidding a farewell to Celes, Locke and the three beautiful mamono headed off into the wilderness to hunt for a new mamono.

The old aunt at the store charged five hundred and twenty for Locke's goods, before he returned and finished his preparations and goodbyes. Then, he set forth to find more companions.

He traveled east, through calm and casual open plains in search of slimes in the slime fields. Marla and Raven often flew about, scouting the lands before returning to Locke. They avoided several dangers, such as a pack of bears, a mean Ogre hiding under a bridge, and for some reason, Jade was angry and blowing fire into the air, rampaging through the fields and knocking out everything in her way. "She dropkicked a wild minotaurus!" Marla exclaimed. "Jade flew away after burying all but the minotaur's head in the ground," Raven followed up some time later after going back to check on the situation.

At this point, with various dangers all around, Locke could do something rash... Or just simply carry on.

"Jade? Who exactly is Jade? Is she a dragon? Hrmm... a minotaurus you say? That's a decently powerful mamono. And also quite dangerous. I wouldn't want to risk you both, but... if she's buried up to her head... she'll be in trouble. We ought to at least check it out."

So saying Locke moved in the direction of the minotaurus that Jade had just smacked about for whatever reason.

"Jade is Venice's prized mamono. On this land, she is known as the Ultimate Beast." Raven replied to Locke. "There are none known to be stronger than her. I suspect she was venting anger."

Then, they traveled to the minotaur. When Locke arrived, she had already ripped herself from the ground in a furious upheaval of earth. Turning to the group, she seemed furious. "The hell do you want!?" she exclaimed, steam coming from her nostrils. "Did ya think I was easy pickin's with those two birds!? Guess again!!!" she growled, stomping towards Locke and the group.

Before she could grab Locke, Marla snatched him up while Raven rescued Ripple, flying both off into the sky as the minotaur's hand grabbed at air, before she cursed up at them. "Woah! That was bad! Minotaurs are frightening!" Marla said, shaken.

"Well, at least we know she'll be fine. I hope you're satisfied, Locke." Raven said calmly.

Ripple meanwhile, looked as if her life was still flashing before her eyes.

"Hmph... I guess so!" Locke said as Marla and Raven acted quickly to save his life. "I didn't realize she'd be so grumpy. I'm sorry Ripple. But don't worry, we've got two excellent guardians looking out for us."

When they landed on solid ground about a mile or two away, Locke heaved a sigh of relief and thanked Marla and Raven again. When everyone was settled, Locke shrugged.

"Welp! Nothing for it except to learn from the experience. From now on I'll listen to the reports in the Mamonodex and be careful about the monster girls we go to encounter. Let's keep to this land and look for someone more in our current range."

Continuing on, Ripple didn't at all seemed to mind what happened, and even looked a little excited. Eventually, Marla and Raven were shouting from above in warning before Locke immediately discovered what they were on about as a

suddenly tackled him to the ground, her wings buzzing with excitement as she pushed him onto his back and mounted him. "Bzzz!" she buzzed, "So cute! The queen will choose you for sure! But, I must test you first!" she announced, getting to business right away and unzipping Locke's pants.

Locke was hit with such force by the honey bee that his whole body was tackled about three yards, leaving his brown cap flipping up in the air where he had originally been standing, before it fell to the earth a moment later.

Locke grunted and blinked as he looked awkwardly around him, focusing quickly on the rather cute, naked girl with antennae and a bee's tail that was mounting him and droning on about him bee-ing perfect for the queen.

"Test me? N-no, that won't be necessary! Uh... Marla! Raven! Little help!" he said, not wanting to personally harm such a sweet looking creature, but knowing that she needed to be separated from him before she got his pants off.

"I'ma comin' Locke!" Marla announced, before swooping down and forcing the bee to retreat from Locke or be cut by the harpy's talons.

"Bzzz!" The bee girl buzzed angrily. "Sister! Come to me! Help me!" the bee girl called out for help, before another bee girl that looked just like her showed up, holding two spears, one of which she tossed to her 'sister' before they buzzed together, facing Marla and Raven with expressions eager for conflict.

"Two against one!? No fair!" Marla complained. "Raven, I think you may need to help me with this one!"

Raven did not give an answer, merely sighing and landing next to Marla, ready to assist her overconfident companion.

"Here I come!" Marla shouts, before rushing at the bee!

Marla slammed her leg into the bee for 54 damage! Launching it as if it were a spear of her own!

The bee retaliated! Her spear jabbed Marla for 23 Damage!

"Bzz! Tag out!" The wounded bee girl called out.

The wounded bee girl has retreated back to heal!

The bee girl in the back rubbed honey onto her genitals, recovering 7 Life!

The second bee girl was the first to strike! Using her stinger, Marla was caught in the abdomen by her stinger! Marla suffered 12 damage!

Marla has been poisoned!

Marla quickly kicked the bee away after she had been poisoned, for 57 damage!

"Guh!" Marla winced. "W-wow, my body's going numb..."
