Janet looked a little in panic at the mention of leaving the brothel let alone heading to the temple. "If you insist mistress I will fetch my leash for you to lead me to the temple." "Lesh?" Jess sounded confused and Rikke face palmed a little nearly forgetting Janet's requirements for leaving the brothel. However Janet seemed more concerned about where they where going than how they were getting their.

Rikke blinked innocently "Oh~ nono. Keep the leash in stash, I meant the brothel garden shrine." the heroine smiled warmly at Janet then looked to Jess, who pondorously looked at Rikke "Leash?" "I'll explain later" Rikke snickered lightly.

"I want to see it. The shrine to Venus." seemed the rogue was rather enthusiastic about the whole affair, even after previous reluctance.

"Oh" Janet's blush was evident. "Well thats a little hard to do its under water Rikke." "Under water?" Did that mean Luna was living in the shrine? Rikke wasn't sure but a quick look at Jess confirmed she was at lest on the same train of thought.

"Oh... Well nevermind then." Rikkes voice carried telltale signs of great disappointment, if Lunas home really was the godess's shrine it has long since been deprived of all of it's wonder. "Unless you really want to visit that Justice temple, Jess. We should head out, no point just standing around" Rikke squeezed out a smile, though her eyes were still saddened. It was rather odd to see the girl so discouraged by the news, she wasn't exactly religious so why did it saden her so much.

Nevertheless Rikke turned to Jessica and awaited her decision, if her companion wants to visit the temple of Justice she wouldn't argue, otherwise it was time to finally get the details on their perilous mission.

"Hey there Rikke no need to feel down. Remember Luna said it was moved block by block so maybe she kept some of the things from the shrine?" Janet looked at the somewhat depressed rogue. "Hey maybe the temple of Justice has the shrine there for Venus? It might be a long shot but still its right on your way to the Mansion." Both the girls tried to cheer Rikke out and at the lest she had good friends to pick up her spirits.

"Oh~ come on you two. I'm not that sad, I haven't even prayed for who knows how long" Rikke put up a brave face, though her two friends encouragements really brought warmth to the rogue. Rikke flicked her hair lightly "But... I guess we could stop by the temple. Might aswell get the divines blessing, just in case" the heroine smiled warmly.

"I'd love for you to join us Janet, but no way am I putting that leash on you again... so." Rikke bashfully looked down "Thanks for being such a friend." the rogue have the blonde a friendly hug "We'll be back before you know. Keep the room in check okay? Maybe we'll have a... celebration when we get back" Rikke snickered lightly and allowed Jessica to say her goodbyes to the blonde. The two won't be returning here until after the task is done.

Saying their goodbyes the girls made their way out of the brothel and into the streets once again. Thankfully this time it was devoid of any cut purses or would be rapist. Walking the route Janet had describe to Rikke proved easy enough as most of the landmarks the girl mentioned still existed and they soon came upon a massive Cathedral its formally painted white stone blocks having faded and chipped from lack of maintenance. "This must be the temple of Justice" Jess spoke clearly in awe of the massive structure. "This is the biggest building I have ever seen!" Truth be told it was massive and had more of an appearance of a fort than a cathedral. Whether or not Rikke was impressed was hard to determine having been locked in thought for most of the walk. "Well it looks like they are accepting people at lest. It must be a good sign right?" Jess was right about the people dozens of citizens and clergy not all of the same faith if clothing was an indication stood or sat huddled in small groups while their priests and priestess intoned some form of worship or another.

Rikkes eyes widened at the sight "Wow..." the Cathedral was massive! Even though it did have a number of signs that it too had been ruined seemed it was well in the works to be restored to it's full majesty. But even as it was right now, the sight was breathtaking.

Rikke smiled at Jessica "Come on let's go take a look." A small refresher of the more popular cults is always fun, though if the girls are lucky perhaps the worshipers of Venus would be setup somewhere in the locale.

Rikke and Jess made their way up to the cathedral where a mass of voices barked and chanted. It was almost to much to handle all at once. Still Rikke and Jess asked and searched but found little to guide them to a shrine of Venus. Almost giving up the search they where interrupted by a soft voice from behind them. "Hello misses can I help you find something?" The owner of the voice was a small woman she had a dash of freckles and red hair as well as pale crolian skin. When asked about Venus the young woman sighed almost longingly. "Sadly her shrine was destroyed by the owner of the brothel. She didn't think that a shrine dedicated to free love would be a good influence on her girls. Still the church of Naya bought what they could afford and built a shrine in the garden. Would you like me to lead you to it?"

Rikke smiled warmly at the girl "Well honestly we could use all the blessings we can get." the heroine looked to Jess "Shall we?" the red haired girl snickered lightly "Well it's what we came here for" Rikke nodded once and looked to the freckled girl "Please lead on."

As the girls followed Rikkes curiousity kicked in, if she was going to a diety worship grounds best to atleast know who is who. "So~ Who is Naya exactly?"

The young woman simply beckoned for them to follow and began to lead them from the noise of the main area to a slightly secluded area that seemed to be an after thought rather than planned. Surprisingly Jess spoke up when Rikke asked who Naya was. "She is the bringer of life a goddess of fertility and birth. There is a statue of her and Venus in the manor Rikke." Their guide simply smiled at Jess explanation before rounding a corner. "The church of Naya also took many of the worshipers and clergy when the godslayer killed Venus. But some still follow her even though the goddess is no longer with us."

The shrine itself was fairly simple a small statue of pregnant woman surrounded by flowers and other offerings. Images of animals and crops seemed abundant in many of the reliefs that surrounded the statue of Naya. Upon reaching the shrine the guide turned to them and spoke. "Sadly I have to go but if you want to see the shrine or rather whats left of it check behind the Naya shrine." With a slight bow the woman left Rikke and Jess to their own devices. If the girls so choose and investigate they find a simple statue similar to the one at the manor but on a very small scale. Images of wine and of sexual escapades seem to filler the imagery around the shrine but oddly are covered in a cloth. Maybe the other clergy find such sexual freedom offensive. The only other thing of note is a small box also covered in cloth.

"Why would someone do that... kill the Godess of love." uttered under her breath as the girl explained the fate of Venus. Rikke looked over the humble shrine, obviously the godess was loved by the people. The heroine smiled warmly at the statue, there was something so deeply warming about the godess. "Over here Rikke" Jessica beckoned the girl over to the even humbler shrine for Venus.

It wasn't much and most of it had been covered up due to rather inapproriate images, but nevertheless it was still a shrine to Rikkes godess - Venus. Rikke leaned down near one of the paintings and took a peek under the cloth. The painting displayed two girls scissor each other on a silken bed, one of the girls face obviously displayed blissfull ecstasy, while the other eyed her lovingly. Rikke raised the cloth fully revealing the painting to Jessica "Remind you of something?" a knowing smile formed on Rikke. Jess looked down as her eyes slightly widened and the very same smile as her friend came upon her face "How could I forget" Rikke snickered lightly pulling the cloth back on the lewd imagery. Who knows some perverts might start stealing the images if they were in full display.

Rikke slowly approached the statue and knelt down to it. The godess Venus... if ever Rikke had a diety she adored, it was her. The rogue placed her hands together for a prayer, but she didn't even know of any... so it was time to improvise 'My godess venus...I know this is stupid and that you're no longer among us... but if somehow you still watch over the lovers of our realm, please grace me and Jess with your guidance and care. Would you find it wierd if me and Jess were actually...' Rikke blushed lightly as she continued odd prayer 'Well you know...Besides we'll put on quite a show once in awhile just for you. Okay?' Rikke opened her eyes to the sight of the small statue ' I refuse to believe that you're truly gone, my godess. My Venus.' Rikke remained knelt like that for quite some time, seemingly letting her voice travel to wherever she sent it.

Rikke felt a sense of peace was over here. Was this the goddess blessing? Though after awhile she did feel a little silly though her eyes kept getting drawn to the box covered in cloth that lay at the shrine. It was plain and unassuming but still it seemed to catch the corner of her eye when ever she would examine any of the images around the statue. Jess of course fidget nervously a little red in the face. "Jess are you okay?" Jess jumped when Rikke spoke aloud but quickly returned to her mostly calm self though her hands played with strands of her hair the tell tale signs of Jess being nervous. "To be honest Rikke I was expecting to be struck down the moment I entered here." Jess even looked to the sky with a nervous glance. "With all these shrines and prayers going on Im sure the eyes of one deity or another is watching and frankly its making more nervous than a whore in church." Jess quickly covered her mouth at her little slip and flushed the deepest crimson Rikke had yet seen.

Rikke giggled happily at her companion "Oh~ Don't be silly. No divine would dare touch someone as gentle as you, Jess." Rikke got to her feet "Come on, a quick prayer to Venus. Chop-chop!" the heroine placed her hand on her hips and look at Jessica in a comically motherly stare.

Whatever Jessica chose to do, Rikke couldn't hold back her curiousity at the small box that kept alluring her. Surely a peek inside wouldn't incur any wrath upon the girl... especially from Venus.

Jess looked unsure of what to do and simply settled for kneeling near the shrine and closing her eyes. What ever prayer if any she made she kept silent and to herself but she did stay still for a long time. Choosing this opportunity for some mischief Rikke quietly opened the box to see what lay inside. The box opened easily but nearly closed shut when Rikke saw the contents. Inside lay a dildo and not just any dildo a very large and painfully wide one to boot. Blushing Rikke almost closed the box right then and their except her well trained eye caught a glimmer of writing. Risking being spotted Rikke turned the tool so more light could catch the gilded writing and found a simple text. "The proper tool for offerings to the goddess." She wasn't sure but decided that maybe closing the box was a good idea.

Rikke blushed madly at the sight she uncovered 'It's just there for simbolism... no other way.' the heroine froze in place in embarassment, but glanced over to the box once more 'Just what kind of "festivities" did the worshipers have at your temples, Venus?' Hopefully though not via the use of that nigh-torture object 'Maybe you're supposed to rub...' it wasn't as much perversion that drove the girl (well.. maybe a little bit), but flatout curiousity!

Rikke opened the box once more 'Just for curiousity sakes' the heroine slowly inched her hand into the box and checked just what was this thing even made of. Rikke felt the large dildo in the box and was surprised at the cool stone surface. Breathing a sigh of relif Rikke was glad that this monster wasn't actually used in any ceremony. Still what exactly did they use this fore? Insperation maybe it was certanly well crafted and very exacting in detail but with no members active at lest while Rikke was here it would have to remain a mystery.

Rikke patiently waited for Jessica to finish her prayer. Admiring the surroundings, seemed the girls were one of the very few who still actually prefer the godess over the other rulling dieties... even if the godess herself was dead. The ideals seemed to tick with Rikke.

Jessica slowly got up a calm washed over her face "Done?" Rikke smiled warmly at her companion. If there business here was concluded the two girls should continue onwards with their travels. Even though the stop might've been not quite practical, the shrine seemed to restore Rikkes peace of mind and cleanse the impure thoughts that had been wracking her for quite some time now.

Leaving behind the cathedral and its many shrines Jess visible relaxed. "Im glad where out of there just couldn't get comfortable felt like I was going to burst into fire the moment I walked in." Jess smiled "So Rikke how do you feel?" After Rikke's answer Jess and her walked in silence to the manor unless Rikke had something to say or do.

Upon entering the Manor again they where greeted by the young page. "Misses please if you will follow me." Rikke followed the young page to the doors thankfully it seemed that the guards from before where gone and two knights one male and one female stood at the chamber door. "The two adventures have come as requested for their audience with the council." The two knights looked down at the page and nodded slightly before opening to door and letting Rikke and Jess in.

The council chamber was still the same even the positions of the members remained unchanged. The fat man still sat in his spot thankfully with no food to stuff his face with. Sasha in her fine silks looked straight at Jess ignoring Rikke completely. The older knight and his freckled priestess still sat in the same seats as before. The Old mage and his apprentice however where absent but in his place was a skinny boy with overly large glasses which seemed to big for his face. "Ahh our would be adventures." DeGravel spoke his voice still as oily as his hair. "I take it you have come to officially start your employment with us?"

"So Rikke how do you feel?" Jessica smiled warmly at her friend "Actually much better." Rikke grinned happily it really was as if something that tore away at her had been cleansed away, more importantly though the lewd thoughts from before were finally put to rest... though perhaps she should tell Jessica about them?

The girls made good headway towards the manor in complete silence as Rikke continued her mussing whether to adress her perverted issue or just shun it as side-effect from the brothel. "Jess... Seemed the girls were expected as they were quickly placed infront of the council once and closer than Rikke would've liked to DeGravil.

"Five hundred denarii is a hard offer to turn down. We'll go get your badge back...."
