Re: Tentacle Souls

Y and A Need we a reason to go to Cloud Dimension besides 'it sounds interesting?'

That being said I for one am not leaving until I'm sure that Necromancer is safe.

Oh, I'd also like to visit the nexus to locate a meat shield. Let's tell the Paladin that a priestess was kidnapped and we are being blackmailed into some sort of quest. It's not exactly false... She IS a priestess... Just one of death.

BY Try and be nice and happy about taking care of his problem for him, but then mention that if you are going to end a war...you might need a small pick me up. Evolve Tentacle Arts II while having sex with Necrobabe, heal us up and get some energy for the trip.

...maybe exaggerate how good of a fuck she is, might tempt Black into having a taste for himself and then she can do that voodoo that she do. We are part blue now, so out bullshitting talents should be high right?
If she can't do that to Black, or he aint falling for it then just proceed onward to WAR!

Then again if we are really, really good at bullshiting, we might can convince him we will handle both problems for him if he would only allow Necrobabe to accompany you.

Another big IF here, if we fuck her and if we arent in this anti magic circle then I say we Teleport her back after we are done. Going on that we will handle his problem but he wont hold anything over us to try and save our skins.

Black has some allies imprisoned there; he'd like us to go and free them.

Yeah, no. I read that. I meant I don't care what else he says (option X) I still want to go to Cloud Dimension because 'it sounds interesting'. More interesting than the desert anyway. Sorry for the confusion.

Re: Tentacle Souls

In retrospect, this would be an example of telepathy being really handy, in case blackie is lying to us. Unless he has some kind of mental defense.

Bah! We're a saint though. Our motives are good! To save our companion. If anything that would only make us more believable to her (much to her own annoyance).

Re: Tentacle Souls

Kind of wish i had kept better track of evolution votes, getting all 3 of those was overkill. AY I'm really doubting that Black will let us go back and find allies in the nexus. Maybe we can convince him that he can prove the Necromancer is safe if he allows us a conjugal visit, and it would give us an a better chance of completing his important mission. Also what would choice X have us asking about.

Anyway, sounds like going with the sand mission it would mean we wouldn't choose a side in the war we don't agree with, Better to go there on our own terms later. Also any women we meet there would would probably be normal humans not very powerful.

With the Cloud dimension which i'm pretty sure is different then the sky realm, maybe we can add an angel to the harem, also the minions he wants rescued might be converted to our side if they be women.

Evolution for later we should use prepare us to turn the tables when were done:
levitation II should be soon for the clouds.
Maybe some elemental spells
Tentacle arts II because we really need to recover.
Lust Slime ooze might help in gaining or converting allies
Anyway these have to wait till later.

BY Try and be nice and happy about taking care of his problem for him, but then mention that if you are going to end a war...you might need a small pick me up. Evolve Tentacle Arts II while having sex with Necrobabe, heal us up and get some energy for the trip.

I agree with most of this if it can be done, although I still prefer cloud dimension. but were too tired too transport her and it took a while last time. He would probably kill both of us as soon as we try it or kill us afterward anyway. If we want Black to believe we'll complete his task we at least have to not do something he clearly won't allow until after we gain a better position. Also having he kill black would be a big loss for us later on.

Re: Tentacle Souls

Option Y, X, A (A winning by one vote!)

----

"I'm not doing anything unless I know the Necromancer is alright," you insist. Black regards you coolly. "What's wrong with you? You're so attached to her. But if you insist..." Black withdraws into his host's mouth, and behind him an innocuous piece of wall rattles aside.

It reveals a blank, empty room, with the Necromancer in the middle, thick, taut chains holding her limbs spread eagle, stretching her body into an X-shape. All around the wall ooze ominous clumps of swaying black tentacles.
The Necromancer spots you and calls out, mouthing words desperately, but no sound reaches you. Black's host makes a dismissive gesture and the wall rolls back into place.

"I really don't have all day, you know," continues Black, re-emerging from the mouth. "If you don't make a choice in the next 10 seconds, things will start getting unpleasant."

"OK! Cloud Dimension!" you insist, and Black nods. The palest-blue Archcrystal comes levitating towards you, stopping just an inch inside your Mournful Orb. As you reluctantly press yourself to its surface, you only have time to hear Black's instruction once more - "Free my allies!" - before being drawn in through the void.

****

You awake to find yourself... in a most unusual place. There's no ground beneath your body; just a faintly oily sensation of super-dense water vapour. Looking around, all you see it monotonous grey cloud, formed into little hills and valleys, wisps of them wheeling through the air. Looking up you see the underside of yet more clouds (the bottom of the Sky Dimension perhaps?). Visibility is poor - either the air itself is unusually grey, or there's a fine fog hanging around - and you've not got the first clue where to start looking for Black's allies.
With no particular destination in mind, you crawl off, your purple-and-blue body the only colour in this bleak, silent landscape.
Well, silent until the screech of a Harpy breaks through the air. You look up, and see one of the fanged monsters swooping down on you, screaming like a banshee.

----

Option 1) Kill the Harpy. Self-defense is important!

Option 2) Disable the Harpy and infest it. Use it to get a higher-up look at the surroundings.

Option 3) Stay still, hoping the Harpy doesn't kill you but instead carries you away, back to base - something you'd really struggle to find on your own.

Option 4) Other.

Status:
Health: 75/150
Energy: 42/200
Morality: 6/100

Evolutions:
- Thunder Bolt I (Like Fire Bolt, Thunder element).
- Water Bolt I (...ditto).
- Ice Bolt I.
- Ovipositor I (Allows you to lay eggs within the orifice of a host. At low levels, these eggs are weak and may not hatch properly. Further upgrades reduces this risk. Each egg costs 10 energy to plant, but the hatched tentacle is autonomous and commanded by you).
- Dread I (Releases pheromones that make organisms more afraid. The higher the level, the stronger the effect it has, and the better it works on people (lower levels are effective mostly against animals).
- Confusion I (Launch a magical blast that can disrupt the brain-waves of a foe. Useful against well-armored creatures that aren't very vulnerable to normal attacks).

- Levitate II (allows you to hover straight over even wider gaps).
- Firebolt II (Like Magic Sting II, but Fire Element).
- (Lust) Slime Ooze II (your slime induces lust in those that contact it).
- (Sleep) Slime Ooze II (your slime makes those that touch it sleepy. Very... sleepy).
- (Healing) Slime Ooze II (your slime heals those that touch it. Like with all slime effects, it can be turned on and off at will).
- Stealth II (20 energy required. Become even sneakier).
- Swim II (20 energy required. Can you guess what this evolution does?)
- Body Shock II (20 Energy required. A powerful wave of magical energy runs over your skin. Akin to picking up a live electrical wire. Obviously limited to close-range combat, though).
- Tentacle Arts II (20 Energy required. Recover HP through sex).

- Magic Shield III (30 energy cost. Lasts longer and tougher to break than Level II).
- Entrapment III (30 cost). Small tentacles appear from the ground around your enemy and bind them to it. The tentacles are strong but not unbreakable.
- Re-Skinned Illusion III (30 cost). Use magic to change the outward appearance of a surface. Useful for laying traps, though not much help in the heat of the moment.
- Minor Telepathy (30 Cost). If you're close enough to another sentient being, you can pick of very faint snatches of their thoughts and emotions. Which of course can be very helpful for a variety of reasons...
- Plague (30 Cost). Fire a wave of sickly green energy that makes people ill. If left untreated, it can kill within a day.

- Illusory Duplicate (40 Energy Cost). Creates a magical duplicate of yourself that can slide around causing all sorts of panic, though unfortunately it isn't truly alive and can't perform any magic of its own.
- Aura Detect IV (40 Energy cost. The pinnacle of Aura Detection - see Cursed and Holy objects from far afield, allows you see even the faintest magical trap clearly, and can allow you to perfectly judge the magical aptitude of your foes).
