Re: Zako Fight 1.00

Honestly after seeing that huge cockblock of a "this is a demo" screen, it kinda made me not want this game. If I don't know what I'm gonna be fapping to I will either pirate the item first or ignore it.
I honestly feel like a cheapskate for saying that but I've been screwed hard in the past by a lot of games.

Hmm, demo was a huge disappointment. Even so i went ahead and bought it since i want to support you indie-H-game developers :) But I did feel cheated on after buying the game, you have a severe lack of content, you only get 1 H-scene with 2 other slight variations of the H-grab by paying 5 bucks, but you have quite some potential.

Pros:

- Good 2D art, disproportionate but still good looking.
- Good Unique concept on the H.
- Nice Animations During H-Acts

Cons:

- Chunky gameplay, feels unresponsive.
- Animations are stiff outside of H
- Only 1 Enemy all with the same boring move-set.
- Lack of H, you have only 3 H-animations All in the same position with slight variations.

So far I'd say this game is not worth the 5 bucks, I see and understand that you want some money for putting time and effort into your game, but you should really plan ahead and create more content for you future games, you really have some potential here and capability to create some good games! All you need is the proper time and planning into your games.

That being said I really like the little H you did for this game, and I will be keeping an eye on you, just make sure to focus more on the general gameplay, if not, at least pop-out allot more H.

Sorry, but I won't be sharing this game, yet. I don't want to spit in the creators face so I'll wait on doing it for a few more days, even if he posted his game on a site such as ULMF.
He should expect it to be pirated, but there's an Anti-Pirate check or file included, not sure how easily it is to bypass (it seems easy though, as you need to run the "PirateTrapper" File and it generates a file in the same folder, which then allows you to run the game)

That said, I won't be posting the game here yet. It just feels wrong to post a link to the game that the creator has made in his very own thread, especially on the very first day.

Re: Zako Fight 1.00

Based off the demo the game seems pretty well polished. I am curious as to the amount of enemies and h-scenes/animations included in the full game. From what I've played I'd happily buy a full copy if there was enough content for me.

Re: Zako Fight 1.00

There is one enemy and several h animations for now in the full version. My plan here is to update the game(and you know I will). As long as you have that first file that you've paid for, you will not have to pay for it again, when updates come.

I also realize that there will be those who attempt to pirate/bypass protection. I can only hope that Bomb can do something about it if it happens...

I would not call that PirateTrapper any kind of pirate protection, or at least it seems to be easy to bypass. All i would need to do would be to upload the game along with the PirateTrapper and people would just be able to run it on their system without the inSysID file it creates and it would create a new one. Unless it's bound to the first IP/Mac address it was opened by.
I have not really tested it out much yet.

Anyways, there is something i need to tell you about the PirateTrapper.
The game ran just fine the first time i opened it with piratetrapper, but the second time i got nothing, not even a window up. The Task Manager showed the ZakoFight.exe up and running but no windows or sound playing, The only way i managed to get the window back up again was by deleting the inSysID file and running the trapper again.

Not sure if this is intended but it will cause some unnecessary problems, and is probably the source of Ichigo's problem.

Re: Zako Fight 1.00

It has piratetrapper? Well I guess I'm passing this game up. Piratetrapper is just a bipolar program that sometimes feels like working and others doesn't.
When I bought the Sensual Fighter on the site, it took me about 3 hours just to get it to work properly. Piratetrapper just kept loading a blank screen or brought me to the main fight screen and then never loaded the characters.

same issue for me. it wont open if you click ZakoFight.exe to get the game to run you need to click PirateTripper.exe

Re: Zako Fight 1.00

Hey there. Rest assured I am giving it my all and working to get these issues resolved by communicating with Bomb. He's given me a potential solution to this error:

Please tell me if this file consistently works so that we may publicize it.

P.S: Delete the existing insysid before trying this new file

Your new PirateTrapper works fine, I could start up the game, reboot the game without any problems now. Good work!

You still NEED to open the PirateTrapper file over the ZakoFight.exe, If you start ZakoFight.exe you get the same error, which gives you nothing, but task manager shows ZakoFight open as exe file. Not that you need to be able to start from ZakoFight.exe, starting PirateTrapper instead works fine.

What? The new trapper ??? gave us worked just fine here as long as you are starting the PirateTrapper.exe and not ZakoFight.exe, If it does not work try setting compatibility mode to Windows XP/Vista, tends to solve the problems at rare occasions.

These issues seem to stem from some Windows 7 compatibility issue. You can try using the pirate tripper up above, and see if that works...unless you've been constantly running the main .exe for 3 hours straight as opposed to the tripper.exe, in which case I don't know what to tell you...I mean, I just can't think of another reason why it would not work and then work 3 hours later.....

Your new PirateTrapper works fine, I could start up the game, reboot the game without any problems now. Good work!
Thanks, but really Bomb is the mastermind here. I've just been describing the problems to him and he'd come up with potential solutions.

Also Major, I don't think you and KD are talking about the same problem. :p

Re: Zako Fight 1.00

Look, I'll be honest here. I have no idea what I'm talking about. BUT (As a potential customer) all my notions of buying the game have been crushed, hearing that I may have a problem running the game due to this PirateCrusher, or whatever. My two cents is that your game will be pirated regardless of what you do. Not by me, mind you. You're a individual who is regular on the forum, rather than some company or corporation. But for other people, they won't care. It's going to happen, no matter what. So you can put however amount of protection you want, but in my opinion you're only going to inconvenience your paying customers. That's the way I see it.

Now, I'm assuming this game will be available for download at the same price once there have been additions made?

Re: Zako Fight 1.00

I understand where you're coming from Allsop. However, when we talk about a system and getting it to work, we can't always just back down because "something might not always work" or "there are kinks", because the bottom line is, there will always be kinks, and if we can work them out, the better off we'll be.

Now I understand that piracy is probably inevitable, however a main goal in mind is to at the very least stop the average joe from pirating a game, which is why I reached out to bomb instead of taking the dlsite option(I mean, getting shanked on pricing, AND having my game pirated???). If we can do that, then honest customers can enjoy the game for that cheap 1 time price(so, no the price will not be changing...) as I update the game, and the people not willing to pay, can just find some alternatives(and there are plenty in my compendium thread-not that this is some step in a grand schemed out plan cause it isn't) instead of pirating the game.

On that note, bomb has expressed his concern on possible bypass of the tripper being made public to a forum, and has said that if push comes to shove, he will have to take time to change mechanisms which may take any amount of time. This will work against both the pirates AND paying customers because then I will have to wait for bomb to be ready, before I make an update available!

TBH, I'm not some crusading advocate of anti-piracy. To say that I've never pirated something would be an absolute lie. However, I am an advocate of common sense. I can understand if a game from dlsite has been pirated in some cases, because:

1. It's a big corporation, that shanks its developers money.
2. Some games are Japanese site exclusive, and therefore harder to access.
3. Dlsite uses its own payment system, which is always kinda iffy.
4. You can't always contact the creator if you've got an issue running a game.

I'm not hating on dlsite. Nobody is perfect, obviously. But weigh this against taking a simple payment option being the accredited paypal, and simple simple price of 5.00?

Well, I have no choice but to just say no to piracy in this case.

I like your style but I feel it lacks content.

I'll keep my five dollars for now.

Re: Zako Fight 1.00

you have all of the games protected in some way. I've tried every thing I could think of to pull Blazer apart. only thing I got was the blank icon. guess I could try asking for the raw files?plz I really want to play around with your games I want to adjust the AI they still do that backing away thing and you can still just run by the enemy's. I really want to take Blazer's art and turn it into a 2kfighter maker game. I think I can make a game with it now, if I could just get around the no art skill problem that is.

Personally, I would want to see just more of this game before I decide if I want to buy it or not. Even just in screenshots if nothing else.
