"Alright then. Apparently, I can throw lightning," Quara murmured to herself as she got up and dusted herself off. "AND whipping a guy in armour is fucking useless," she added, stowing away the whip and instead drawing her short spear. "Also, I am talking to myself out loud. Stop that," she mused while she walked over to the hollows' fallen bodies. "Let us see if you carried anything," she murmured. Not to herself, to the fallen bodies. Completely different.

Other than the armor and clubs, the hollow soldiers didn't have anything worthy of note, unless Quara intended to lug their weapons around, though given the magic of this world, it'd be no surprise if they came back while she dealt with their equipment.

However, she did find something interesting. She picked up a strange warm flask that held contents that somehow appealed to her, as if it carried the fire of life. She'd surely feel better about her wounds if she drank from this.

Quara suddenly heard glass shatter and felt fire spread from it's impact. It didn't hit her, but someone intended it to. That someone was a hollow above, holding a firebomb in his hands and standing just over the cliff. At the same time, Quara saw a ghost running up along the steps to reach that hollow creature, before suddenly, something struck her and sent her crashing back down to the level Quara stood, below the fire tosser, before the female ghost had her legs lifted over her head with clear suggestion for what was to follow, before the ghost faded away.

Okay, so clearly running up there is going to get me raped. We do not want that. Even though her shoulder called out to her, begged her to take a swig from the warm flask, Quara decided to deal with that guy first. The lightning could probably do the job, but there were... other things yet within her that Quara felt swirling, pushing at her mind to try them out. Slither up there, one whispered. Step through the shadows, another demanded. Roast him with all the fire of the sun, a third one suggested, and Quara couldn't help but nod to herself. "I like the way I think," she said with a grin as she raised her hand and pointed her palm at the tosser. And just as the voice promised, a lance of blindingly white light burst forth and shot up towards the hollow, bathing everything in grossly incandescent light for a short moment.

Quara's bolt of grossly incandescent sunlight struck the hollow, and nearly killed it. However, the blow made it fumble backwards, and fall straight down the cliff to it's side. Gravity seemed intent on dealing the killing blow instead. Such left the stairway up the hill, and whatever 'surprise' awaited her at it's peak.

Quara follows the hollow's fall with her cold grey eyes, a grin showing on her face. "I'll drink to that," she said, raising the flask into the direction the hollow disappeared to before taking a hearty swig. The warmth within the flask flooded her body, and her eyebrows shot up at its unique taste.
Reinvigorated and spear once more in her hand, Quara carefully made her way up the hill. That ghost had been knocked down and up by something else than the grenadier, and the dark-haired woman would be damned if the same thing happened to her. Every few steps she'd stop to look around, even scanning the sky occasionally. Perhaps it had been the dragon the woman talked about?

Quara snuck up, though didn't need to. Coming up, just over the corner of stone that acted as a wall alongside the staircase revealed a single hollow standing at the base of another staircase leading up to the bridge. He was simply staring off into space, before he saw Quara peeking out at him. Quara would notice another hollow as well, along the bridge and heading down for her. Both seemed intent at attacking Quara with little regard to each other. The one that had been dazing about rose a dangerous axe to swing right down, and the one with a sword seemed intent on lunging for her. Their recklessness was perhaps exploitable.

Well fuck. That was about all the time Quara had to consider the situation, and that was what she came up with. Well then, time to improvise.
The tan woman took a few sidesteps to get away from the hollow's axe and towards the sword hollow before fully turning towards the latter. Seeing him about to lunge, she quickly thrusted her spear forward, hoping the dimwit would impale himself on it for easy disposal down the cliffside.

Quara's spear went towards the leaping swordsman, and did go into him, but as soon as her spear went into the monster, he gripped the shaft of the spear, holding it in such a way that made it hard for Quara to move him around. A shove later, and the hollow simply pulled the spear out of his body.

Meanwhile, the axe came down from the other hollow to her side. Despite trying to escape it, the axe came down, but not the blade side, as the blunt side struck Quara over the head. Dizzied by the blow, the other hollow grabbed the dazed Quara from behind, wrapping his arms around both her arms and body and hugging her to himself, a similar huge purple cock as the last hollow she saw poking out between her legs, no doubt intent on ramming itself into her now that it thought she was too wounded to continue fighting.

As Quara was held, the other hollow held it's axe to her, as if threatening her to be obedient or else it would lob her head off as it stared at her with empty, black eyes that were intent on violating her.

Quara's cry of triumph was cut short by a blunt blow over the head that damn near knocked her out. Before she knew what had happened, she could feel the hollow's arms wrapping around her, pinning her arms to her sides. This was only made all the worse by the large demonic dick poking out between her legs, no doubt about to be rammed into her if she didn't act. But how? The other hollow would decapitate her unless...

Slither away? The memory inside her asks. Yes, slither away. But first... Quara's hand crawls forward on her body until it reaches the violet, throbbing member between her legs and gently wraps around it. "I am sorry, love. Not today," she purred... before her body started to fall apart before the hollows' eyes. Strip after strip of her flesh landed on the ground - only it was not flesh. Instead, her body slowly turned into a myriad of tiny snakes with a blackish-green skin, squirming and slithering all over the hollow holding Quara. As one, the hive-minded snakes make their way up the narrow stairs towards the bridge.

And so, Quara slithered away while the hollows stabbed at the various snakes slithering about. Quara made her escape up the stairs, and into what seemed to be some kind of water flow that reeked slightly.

Once she was in this closed pathway, Quara saw to her right, a torch far down that seemed to indicate a pathway to follow, along with a locked gate leading further along the bridge path. To her left was a corpse with a mystical light, animated like fire, and a warped rat that seemed intent on devouring that light.

Damn the stars, no you will not! Behind the rat, a pile of dark snakes started to form. More and more of the tiny reptiles started to gather, forming a pillar, then a human body. In no time at all, Quara had reformed, wondering to herself how the hell she did that, or did anything these last few minutes. Shooting lightning? Beams of sunlight? Turn into snakes? What power is this, she wondered as the last snake crawled up her body and attached itself back in its place.

After reforming herself, the rat ceased it's attempts to eat the strange thing in front of her as it turned around and faced her, before suddenly charging at her violently, leaping at her to bite!

Welp, everything is out to kill or rape me. That makes it official. I guess I'll have to return the favor then. With an expression of grim determination, Quara raised her spear over her head and brought it down on the rat, fully intent on nailing the vile beast to the floor and let it bleed out around her spear.

Quara managed to cut the rat with her short spear, spilling it's blood, but all she was doing was thrusting it. It was clear to her that she wasn't outright killing the rat due to a mixture of her own lack of skill and lack of physical strength.

The rat, after taking her spear's blow, tried to bite her with it's teeth, only barely missing as it was held back by her spear.

With a hiss, Quara pulled her leg back, narrowly avoiding the rat's buck teethed bite. "You will have to be faster if you want a piece of me," she sneered at the rat, which naturally couldn't understand her. But maybe it would get the message of her spear as it jabbed down again, hoping to end this fight soon. Quara could need another swig from that flask.

Quara's spear pierced the rat, and it suddenly went down with a flop into the water. However, her eye caught twitching, showing signs that it was still alive and faking death to obtain the winning move. A single more spear strike would end the rat before she could move on and claim the treasure on the other side... Which seemed to be just as it appeared, a strange form of soul that seemed to identify with her, it's flames 'leaning' towards her.

As the rat flopped into the dark water, Quara huffed and was about to step over it when she noticed a small wave, caused by an involuntary twitch by the rat's hind leg. "Why you cheeky little thing. I am sorely tempted to let you make an effort, darling..." And with that, she rammed her spear down once again. "But I did not fall from the sky deaf, dumb and stupid."

Once the deed was done, Quara stepped over the rat's body to investigate that small wisp of soul. What could that be?

Inspecting it, she suddenly found the spirit's fire moving and seeping into her mouth. It didn't seem to go down her throat, rather, it just seemed to dissolve past her lips. Not long after, she heard a man's voice in her head. "Oh god! Where am I? Why is my skin dark? I have... Breasts!?" the voice questioned, with Quara herself hearing him as if she were simply imagining a man's voice, but it was not of her will. "Hey, wait... Something else is moving this body..." he realized that he was not in control of Quara's body. Rather, Quara seemed to pick up a traveling companion in her head who didn't realize the situation, or that he was looking at his own corpse.

Quara's head twitched back as the soul moved towards her, but it was too late. As it entered her body, she felt herself shudder in revulsion. As he started speaking within her head, it did nothing to help her ease this feeling of... wrongness. As such, her attempt at communicating with the voice within her were brisk. You are dead. Please shut up forever, she tried to think as clearly as possible while she went and rifled the corpse's pockets. If she had to live with that guy, she might as well hold on to whatever stuff he had on his body.

He didn't truly have anything on him. Nothing solid, and the rest was rotten, including his equipment. "Hey! Who are you telling to shut up!?" the voice exclaimed. "Damn woman... I know I'm dead, I just thought I had a new body. This is the third time I've died." he revealed. "Give me a new body to possess and I'll be out of your hair. I'll even do you a favor and show you something good. You just have to find a bonfire, and the flames should forge me a new body."
