Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

Not to my knowledge (in fact, if I remember right having the dwarf upgrade an item lowers its durability). The best way to maintain a certain weapon would be to swap it before it breaks completely. To that end, you'll want to have 2 good weapons.

It is worth noting that the material of the item effects how long it lasts. For example, a Rapier will lose durability faster than a Sword Breaker.
Shit, it looks like I have to keep a minimum of 3 melee weapons and a set of pistols for insurance. You're right about the dwarf part, what his upgrades do is fix the item type (namely long skirt or tight skirt) such that repeated repairs don't change it.

Rapiers are great since they're dual-wielding and deal piercing damage which 1/5 of the monsters in the compendium are weak against. Now I'll have to hunt for one of the unique/magical weapons that does piercing damage.

A question regarding the map posted on the last page: I'm now in the dwarf workshop and would really prefer to skip the railroad in order to get back to the chapel via the city. Where's the shortcut indicated by the red arrow?

You have to reach the dwarf shop from the Underground stream. Once you do that, you'll unlock exits from both the railroad and the stream while in the shop. Also, I had no idea what that option did in the dwarf place, so thanks for clarifying that. Still don't know how to upgrade any of my weapons, though.

Err, three melee weapons seems kinda overkill. Have you been using repair scrolls on your rapier once in a while? They're unique in the fact that they restore the maximum durability back to it's original amount (so 18 for rapiers). I usually carry dual rapiers and the automata, which covers most of my bases. Rapiers are also great cause they let you use stinger, giving the PC two different ways to dash into a target. Oh, and one thing I noticed about ranged weapons is that their damage is very dependent on the ammunition you use. Those regular bullets suck ass, seriously.

I must have been very careless whilst at the stream since all I did was head straight for the railroad via the waterfall end. What's the direction in Japanese when in the stream for heading towards the dwarf shop?

Repairs scrolls are ridiculously rare so I normally use them for on-field repairs for heavily damaged items. Now that you've pointed out my mistake, I'll see if using a scroll on one of my preferred items will help. I use 3 melee weapons since I don't want to drop my water longsword straight away while the two-handed granite sword I picked up is my only source of crushing and earth damage.

I haven't picked up all of the ammo types yet, but I have at least two that do extra damage against specific enemies (Silver bullets for undead, piercing for double damage to insectoid and +25% extra to mechanical enemies). I find the regular bullets are all right against flying enemies as long as I use skills to slow them down and keep them at distance.

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

Does anyone know what all the armor morphs are and how they can be accomplished?
For example: Skirt->Tight Skirt -> Micro Skirt.
Or: Lace Pantys -> Seethrough Panties (Lingerie, not bathsuit) -> Slit Panties
And for which costumes they exist?
Even opening the game in RPG Maker doesn't clarify this.

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

Armor morphs can be accomplished in two ways:

1) Random chance when repairing an item that the item is downgraded, if such a downgrade exists, and item has low enough max endurance (I think...)
2) Dwarf can change the form of an item through alchemy

(Also note that see-through is a completely different item chain to lace)

Note that the downgrades are stritly downgrades, as in a micro skirt provides very little protection against rape attacks

Anyone have #21 on the bestiary unlocked yet? The huge cyclops in the snow field wipes the floor with his earthquake attack, ridiculous HP and healing special ability...

Gear is definitely the only way to survive and progress through the storyline without getting gang-raped half way through. As I see it, melee weapons should have two elemental attacks (best would be holy and darkness) and one status ailment such as stun or confusion for the 3rd socket (assuming PCs are lucky enough to see those drop off monsters). Armour with 3 sockets should probably get something like antidote, anti-stun and other protective buffs.

The longer you stay out in the field, the stronger the enemies become. Fortunately most of the time they're 3-4 levels below the PC's character level, but the monster lairs tend to be filled with equal level or stronger monsters.

If memory serves correctly, it was something about heading upstream.

I think the mini-skirt (not sure about the micro) provides resistance against enemies that pull on your skirt to knock you down, like the imps.

He's weak against lightning. He's quite powerful if you don't have any earth-resistant gear, since his attacks have multi-hits of magic which are difficult to evade. The cyclops is also vulnerable to a bunch of status effects like Blind (which can be caused with your holy vial) and confusion. I don't have too much trouble with them, but I think you can duel them one on one if played smartly.

Those black goats on the other hand... *shudder*

I keep this option off since it's so annoying, but the only way to cure yourself is probably to go to the chapel and go through the left door, alternatively the man from London at the water wheel should offer healing services.

Confirmed upstream direction to reach dwarf when traversing the stream.

The shorter the skirt gets, the less resistance to rape but conversely agility increases and as mentioned imp skirt pull are less effective.

I definitely don't grind as hard as you do since my dual-wield rapier doesn't have anything to mitigate the huge earthquake damage nor have I found a single enchanted weapon or essence that deals lightning damage. If I see the bastard again next time I'll try using the granite sword but I'm not hopeful.

Surprisingly enough, I have had success against the black goats despite their annoying tendency to run away and pelt you with spells. Somehow it comes down to me having bind staves with lots of charges and quite a few healing items at hand...

Just curious, has a less buggy real version been released yet?

Compared to the initial retail version, there have been at least two updates available for Dlsite users. Not everything has been fixed even by the author's admission, however it seems the patched version allows players to finish the main plot (if they make it that far).

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

As long as you start the game with the Japanese version or start on a difficulty other than Beginner, the patch doesn't seem too screwy (as long as you're using the latest version on DLSite). That said, I haven't made much progress in the game (I keep dying and getting sent back to the beginning deleveled with no equipment), so if there's glitches that it causes later on in the game, I wouldn't know about them.

This looks really promising. I hope they fix all the bugs and a good translation gets made, as I've always wanted to see a roguelike like this in an H-Game.

At least one person here has made it to the Crypt inner sanctum. Anything there worth a visit or is it just for masochists or overpowered PCs?

The stage has incubators, corruption and hell battlers and it seems to go on forever when starting from the chapel...

From what I can tell the version on DLsite is patched, but if you bought the game from dlsite as a guest you won't have access to the patched versions(?).

A memoir that I wasn't able to unlock, and a key item 'Piece of Rosary'. Not sure what it's used for, but it seems relevant to the plot. Other than that, nothing much.

Still more useful than the Hollow Tree though... seriously, if you can get to that place and make it back then I'll give you a brownie.

Have you tried any of the essences such as 多産のエッセンス (豊穣), ファインエッセンス (理性)、 クリアリー・エッセンス (明晰) and アンチドーテ・エッセンス (壮健)? I'm guessing the last three increases base resistances to debilitating effects such as stun and poison but I've no clue what the first one does (what does fertility have to do with buffing items?! HP and MP steal per strike?)

I found a stun essence once off a random monster drop in the underground river, unfortunately I didn't make it to the next safe area without getting ganked so I lost it when I reverted to a safe area hard-save. Any idea of a reliable source for lightning and stun essences in areas which aren't so ridiculously harsh with their monster and monster level settings?
