Hello everybody! Regular visitor here finally posting something. To moderators, if I've posted in the wrong forum then just let me know and I'll do whatever needs to be done to fix it.
If you're too busy to read the whole post: There's no good hentai games on mobile, I might start making one, and I'm wondering people's opinions on what they'd like in a mobile hentai game.
Once in awhile I'll be bored, late at night and in bed, and I'll want to play something on my phone (Android). I've taken a look at what dlsite has for its mobile stuff, but it's all just crappy touching games or animated backgrounds or what not. Ways exist to play flash games on mobiles, but they're always laggy or require too fine of a clicking precision that touch controls simply don't offer.
I have a good amount of side project time and have experience creating Android games with Unity, so I thought "Hey, why not just make the mobile hentai game that I see a missing spot for?" Therefore, I'd like to humbly ask you all of your opinions on what you'd like to see in a fun (read FUN, meaning hentai is a bonus to gameplay) mobile game. To not bury myself in high ambitions, consider the project 2D for now. 3D elements can be added at a later time though, so if you have any thoughts on what 3D things you'd like to see then feel free to voice them. As a side note, developing with Unity would be great because I could upload PC builds super easily for people to test out.
Some questions to consider:
-What is the main game loop? For example, Monster Hunter's game loop is kill monsters, get materials, make armor/weapons, rinse and repeat.
-What elements/systems from other games would you like to see?
-What things do you definitely not want to see?
-Is it an RPG, action game, etc.
For example, here's some random ideas that I'm currently thinking which I feel would make a fun mobile game with hentai elements:
-RPG battle system, similar to Super Mario RPG 7 Stars. Attacks and skills can be powered up based on timed user input (right when you're about to attack, there's a window of opportunity where the player can tap the screen and it powers up the attack). I absolutely loved this about SMRPG, it made battle much more interactive and sadly I haven't seen it used in any other game since.
-Basic attacks will be regular attacks (inflict body harm), and all/most of the skills will be sex related.
-Characters are unlocked by defeating them first in battle (like the old Final Fantasy summons) or through finding them in the world/doing quests. Characters and their skills are related to certain hentai/sex genres (a Succubus character would have dominatrix-esque abilities).
-Each character has a skill tree of abilities to unlock. For example, a regular human woman character would have a skill tree that diverges between sex acts relating to different body parts. Hands path, mouth path, feet path, etc. Each level of the character lets you unlock one ability down the tree.
-Characters and their attacks/skills would be sprites to start off with, and could later be made more complex or simple 3D.
Based on my above idea, here's some additional questions that I'd like to ask you all:
-How do you think the world should work? Open RPG Maker/2D Final Fantasy type map, or just a map picture with different interest areas to click on and go to? Any other ideas?
-Should the game's battles be turn based? Timed? Live? Tactical?
-What is the main game loop? For example, the player's objective is to collect all playable characters by continuously battling, gaining levels, and defeating the unlockables in battle to acquire them.
That's it! Right now I'm just looking for a thoughtful discussion on what a good mobile hentai game should be, and I'll see if I want to pursue making a prototype based off everyone's ideas. Thanks
