Not sure on this one but i'd rather not have to burn the huts. H come back as soon as its dark enough. In the meantime do the other things on the list and check for other jobs.

I’m also introducing a new option that will hopefully improve what’s already available. I’m calling it “Time Skip” and it will allow Colette to go to a place and wait for an allotted amount of time. There are rules, however, that must be followed; Colette must have enough resources to survive waiting. If she’s waiting at an inn/restaurant then she must have enough money to purchase the bare minimum of food and drinks to live. If she’s waiting somewhere else then she must have proper shelter for the environment if necessary as well as enough food and water to survive.

Let me know if I should keep this or do away with it.

You look out at the huts and observe the feral goblins for a few moments more. There’s too many for me to handle right now, and I don’t want to risk getting captured or killed. From what the boy told me it seems that the attacks occur only at night, and it seems it’s been a few nights since then. I’ll come back later tonight when it’s darker and hopefully surprise the few that stay behind.

With your mind made up you turn around and carefully make your way back through the dense forest, keeping crouched for a good while so that your new camouflage ability shields you from any hostile eyes. Eventually, though, you figure you’re a good enough distance away from the goblins before removing your hood and standing up to walk, which also happens to break your camouflage. You retrace your steps through the forest until you spot the farmstead you saw the elven boy at when you first arrived, taking a deep breath of fresh air to chase away the stench of feral goblin. You make your way back towards the southern city gates – you’re in no mood to use the sewers if you don’t have to – and reenter the city after a little while, passing two different guards this time who both wear chainmail armor and carry large poleaxes while standing guard.

Hmm, where should I go now then while I put the goblin job on hold? you think as you reach the fountain in front of the gates before an idea pops into your head It’s only been a short while, but maybe there are more jobs at the notice board? I can go to the temple of Kramulet afterwards and see about possibly getting another blessing while I’m at it; gods know I’ll need all the help I can get if I’m going to deal with those goblins!

You shift the equipment on your back a little for comfort before making your way north towards the noble district, and subsequently the inn and notice board. You reach the notice board next to the inn and scan the board for any potential new jobs. You notice that the pest and modeling notices have been removed, while the goblin and waitress job still remain open. You see that there are indeed two new jobs on the notice board; the first is calling for blood donations – at least two vials full – from any non-magical being or monster at “Madame Deidra’s Palace of Pleasure” for seventy-five gold. You continue reading the notice and apparently Madame Deidra’s uses these blood donations to help the magical community with their needs. The second notice offers sixty gold, asking for a volunteer to test out a few new products that a certain shop keeper in the red light district has made. The notice doesn’t name any names or a specific shop, but it does offer directions on how to get there.

You memorize the information on the notice board before turning around and heading back to the fountain then taking the eastern path towards the merchant district and temple district. You can’t help but notice the admiring and appraising looks you seem to be getting from many of the passersby on the streets as you make your way through the merchant district, which makes you feel slightly uncomfortable. More than once a few people stop what they were doing and stare with an odd look in their eyes.

Why are so many people noticing me? Do I have something on my face or clothes? you think as you continue to walk before it dawns on you Of course; Lequis’ blessing! It’s supposed to make people more…attracted…to…me. Oh boy, I think I should hurry up and just stop thinking about it!

You clear your head with a shake and double your pace through the merchant district, ignoring the looks you get as you walk.

A few minutes later you reach the entrance to the temple of Kramulet and stop in front of it to admire the intricate carvings of rifts, scrolls, and an elderly scholar for a few moments before walking up to the entrance and stepping inside. The interior of Kramulet’s temple is much different from Lequis’ and Yyssbo’s; the inside is packed with rows of large shelves containing books, tomes, and scrolls of all shapes, colors, and sizes. You see that each shelf has a large, moveable ladder next to them, most likely to aid in the acquisition of reading material. The next thing that you notice is that there are quite a few large tables situation throughout the room, with each table containing at least half a dozen men, women, monster and magical beings whom are all engrossed in some sort of reading material. You also notice a few people in purple robes – probably disciples of Kramulet – reading something or sitting at a table and discussing something with one of the temple visitors. You marvel at how many books and scrolls the temple seems to have, and all for public consumption and also at how quiet the place is, despite the amount of people and the activity.

Mom would be in heaven here; she just loves reading and learning. I remember she would lock herself in her study sometimes for hours on end just reading or experimenting with things, lost in her own little world you smile brightly and chuckle thinking of your mother and her experiments I remember one time she was trying to create a new type of ice spell and she ended up coating half the house in ice! Dad was furious; his prized weapons were frozen stiff, but me and Uncle William could only laugh since things like this happened all the time. Mom of course thawed everything out quick enough, but it took nearly a week to clean up all the water messes left behind! And of course Uncle Will somehow weaseled his way out of helping, and Mom went right back to experimenting. That left me and Dad to clean everything up – and boy was he not happy about that one bit!

You get lost in fond memories for a little while before a purple movement at the end of the temple catches your eye. You focus on the movement and see an elderly human man with grey hair and a long grey beard pacing back and forth at the back of the room near some shrines dedicated to Kramulet. You see that he currently has his nose buried in a book as he paces, and you also notice that he wears the same purple robes as the other disciples, however, you get the sense that this man is higher in rank at the temple.

Well, since I’m here I may as well ask about a blessing you think before putting one foot in front of the other and walking towards the elderly man. You stop in front of the man, who seems totally oblivious to the world around him, and call out to him “Excuse me, sir?”. No reaction – he continues to pace and starts mumbling to himself under his breath.

You frown slightly before trying again “Excuse me, are you a priest of Kramulet? I was wondering if you could help me”. This time the man does react; he stops pacing and he finally speaks to you, though without looking up at you “Hmm? Yes, yes I’m terribly sorry, dear. I was just engrossed in a fascinating piece detailing the culture of the eastern island nation of Yulanda. Did you know that this particular nation is much the same as Eborthia, though ruled mostly by magical monster races? There also seems to be no other native humanoid races other than humans, which is most fascinating. Their denizens are most interesting as well; they have men and women, similar to the Cat-People we know here, but that look mostly human but with animal ears and tails, or with the torso of a human but the body of a snake! It’s simply incredible - and their weapons are much different than our own; they have things called “Katana’s” and “Wakizashi’s” that are extremely sharp slashing weapons…”

The old man then launches into an explanation of the gods they worship, which seem to be avatar spirits that take the form of dragons and animals, and something about “ninja’s” and “samurai’s”. You’re amused at the geezer’s enthusiasm, but start to get a little irritated considering you wanted to get some information regarding their blessing. Just as the man launches into another very interesting fact about the Yulandan people you stop him by placing your hand on his shoulder “Please, mister, this is all very interesting – truly – but I was wondering if I could ask you about receiving a blessing from Kramulet?”

Finally the man stops talking and actually looks up at you…and you swear he nearly has a heart attack. As soon as his eyes land on your own emerald ones he stops moving and breathing and simply stares. His face goes pale as his eyes go wide and at first you think he’s been deeply affected by Lequis’ blessing on your undergarments, until finally the old man, rather shakily, raises his hand and points his finger at you and says at nearly a whisper “Those eyes…y-you, you’re R-rift Touched!”

You’re a little surprised that he knows about your condition, but you’ve never really been treated differently in the past because of it and you don’t fully understand why he’s so surprised “Yes… I am. Is there something wrong; are you alright, sir?” you asked, concerned this elderly man’s heart will give out at any moment with the way he’s acting.

However, the man’s eyes light up and color returns to his face before he bombards you with dialogue and questions “Rift Touched! Here, in front of me! I must be the luckiest man alive; praise Kramulet! My girl, do you know how many rift touched there currently are in the world as of this moment? Four, that’s how many! Seeing you makes five known in the world at this very moment! You’re also a half-elf, which is another great rarity! This is so exciting; a being the product of bathing in pure magical energy is talking to me! The things to be learned! Did you know, dear, that no rift touched has ever reported dying of old age? Some have been confirmed killed, of course, but the strangest thing is, is that none have ever truly been confirmed to die of old age…they simply up and disappear. Oh, but the power they seem to wield is incredible – no doubt a result of the birth…” and on and on the old man goes.

By this point people are starting to notice the ramblings of the old man and have begun to gather, much to your chagrin. You shake your head in frustration before grabbing the man by both his arms to steady him and say loudly to the disciple “Please, mister, just slow down!” Your actions seem to break the man from his train of thought as he focuses back on you, but with a noticeable twinkle in his eyes.

“Oh, heavens me child! Forgive me, I was lost in thought again it seems; I haven’t been this excited in years. Allow me to introduce myself; I am the head priest of this temple, known as the Wise One, though really a better title should be the Absent Minded One. But you, my dear, may call me Gaius. What can this senile old man do for you?” the man named Gaius finally coherently conveys to you.

You’re a little shocked that this man is the head priest, but smile at his sincerity and the little jabs he takes at himself and respond “My name is Colette, and it is a pleasure to meet you Wise O- Gaius. I’m actually thinking about receiving a blessing and was wondering if there are any tasks or rituals that I could partake in to receive one, since I don’t have the necessary funds. For the record, I don’t think you’re absent minded or senile at all; you’re very knowledgeable and sprightly for your age”.

Gaius’ eyes light up and a smile plasters his face at your compliments, and at wanting to receive a blessing. “Why, yes” he says “there is in fact something that you can do to help in the pursuit of knowledge. Yes, you would be perfect, child! Jazra, the owner of the alchemy shop in the noble district and a good colleague and friend, has been trying to discover the nature, or source if you will, of magic that is inherent in all things for some time now and he currently has a theory he wants to test. He believes that each being has magical pathways that carry magic throughout the body, and that each creature has opposing affinities of magical prowess inherent to them. The experiment itself requires a willing participant, a guinea pig if you will, to be infused with large amounts of magical energy while under the effects of a special concoction he has created in the hopes that it will help the participant ‘see’ this magical energy”.

You smirk at the mention of “magical affinities” He has no idea…still I don’t like the sound of this; it sounds…fishy to me. Does this guy know what he’s doing? you wonder cautiously, though Gaius seems to sense your skepticism and says “Not to worry, child; nothing ill will befall you I assure you. In fact, I would rather like to be present for the experiment to see the results, and to make sure nothing goes wrong. I am a very accomplished magister after all!” Gaius puffs up his chest a little, which makes him look silly, at his last statement and causing you to giggle a bit.

“What about the, um, ‘concoction’ you mentioned? It isn’t poison or anything like that is it?” you ask, still skeptical of this “experiment”.

Gaius smiles and shakes his head “No, nothing of the sort! It simply expands the mind; the mind is capable of great things, child, but most of the information that we take in is filtered and thus much is lost. The concoction will simply allow for more information to be taken in, and alter the perceptions of those that take it. I myself have tried it on multiple occasions and I assure you it is quite an enlightening experience!”

Huh, well I guess it can’t be all bad then, right? I’m still not fully convinced, but Gaius seems like a good and trustworthy person so maybe I’m overreacting? I could always come back later, and Gaius seems to know a lot about people like me so it might not be a bad idea to ask questions.

Character/Environment Interaction explanation
The Character/Environment Interaction system allows you to interact with the world around you as well as interact with Colette or other characters in the story. Want to have Colette tie her hair up? Then choose this along with the main choices. Want her to stow away a stone, or tie up a bad guy with a rope? Go right ahead! Maybe you're in the middle of a fight and feel that clothing is too cumbersome. You can put on make-up, put clothes on and take clothes off, kick over a bucket, slap a succubus' ass.
Don't go too crazy, though. If it's a bit outlandish then unfortunately I might not be able to use it. Other than that, be creative guys and gals!

Magical Sensitivity: Allows you to see magical strengths and weaknesses of beings and certain objects while making your erogenous zones much more sensitive, increasing arousal and pleasure at a faster pace.

Source of Energy: Magical monsters and beings that feed from your essence (blood and sexual secretions) gain more energy than normal from you and also suffer a short term power boost.

Dancer: Dancing comes naturally to you and, while it may not have uses in combat or when talking to someone, you find you can learn dances by seeing others dance or learning descriptions of dance.

Mental Quickness: You're a quick thinker when it comes to solving problems and smart to boot! If you're in a pinch you can easily notice potential escape routes, item and weapon combinations, optimal tactics to attack and defend in combat, how best to enter a building, etc. (I'll give helpful information and suggestions on how to handle situations, but not too much).

Charismatic: If you've got it, flaunt it! You know you're pretty, and you've always been a leader. You can use your feminine wiles to seduce both men and women alike and persuade them to your line of thinking, or you can use your natural charisma to rally troops into battle and improve morale with your strong words and character! Heck, you could probably charm the doors of Mordor open and simply walk in! (Increase Charm skill by 1 rank, people will like you more, and desire you more, you will be more inspiring to others when you speak, you're naturally more sexier).

Feedback: When you get too close to rifts there's a chance that you will lose 10 MR and deal minor health damage. Health damage will never kill or knock you out.

Increased Attraction: You received a blessing at the temple of Lequis on your undergarments and now people find you more attractive than you originally were. (Requires Lequis Blessed thong, garter belt, bra, and stockings being worn)

Increased Persuasion: You received a blessing at the temple of Lequis on your undergarments and now you’re slightly more persuasive in conversations. (Requires Lequis Blessed thong, garter belt, bra, and stockings being worn)

Quicker Reflexes: You received a blessing at the temple of Lequis on your undergarments and now you have slightly faster reflexes, allowing you to dodge attacks better and avoid danger. (Requires Lequis Blessed thong, garter belt, bra, and stockings being worn)

Camouflage: You received a blessing at the temple of Yyssbo on your Midnight Black Hooded Trench Coat which allows you to blend in with your surroundings when sneaking and remaining stationary or moving slowly. Any high profile action such as attacking, being attacked and hit, running, being bumped into, etc. will break the effect. Moderately improves sneaking. (Requires Yyssbo Blessed Midnight Black Hooded Trench Coat)

Cat Legs: You received a blessing at the temple of Yyssbo on your Midnight Black Hooded Trench Coat which allows you to fall from greater distances without taking damage. Falling from roof tops and other moderately high distances will result in no damage taken. Major and Extreme distances will still result in damage or death (Don’t jump off cliffs or off really tall buildings!).

Dual Wielding Novice: You’ve taken the first steps of learning how to wield two weapons at once. Dual wielding allows you to attack with two one-handed weapons at once, essentially doubling the damage you do. However, at present you are severely lacking in skill and find it very difficult to hit enemies in combat. You need much more practice before you can learn how to properly fight using two weapons at once.

Dances
Belly Dancing: Thanks to Lula you now know how to do the traditional and provocative belly dancing of the desert nation, Ornsimun.

Strip Dancing: You know what is necessary to strip dance after watching a dancer at “Exotic Sway”

Pole Dancing: You learned how to pole dance by watching a dancer at “Exotic Sway”

I would vote for P but it sounds like it would involve dildos and therefore hymen breaking. So ask what products it would involve while in the red light district. If it would involve losing virginity say we'll come back later, otherwise accept P

We have roughly 8 Hours 7 if you give one to run over there and get into a tree. Till we go Gobby hunting/looting.

You weigh your options for a few moments before finally coming to a decision Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Gaius seems an alright sort, if a bit over-eager you mentally chuckle at the old man’s seemingly boundless energy, but quickly remember Charles’ words a few days prior Charles said that people would seek to take advantage of me because of my condition; I should probably set Gaius straight just in case.

“I wouldn’t mind helping you and Jazra at all” you say before you lean in closer to whisper in Gaius’ ear “but if you could not spread it around that I’m rift touched I would very much appreciate it; I don’t want any unnecessary attention…please?” you politely ask Gaius as the gathering attention seems to have died down a bit from thee geezers earlier outburst.

Gaius frowns at that request, but sighs before smiling and nodding “I understand, child; history has proven that many would abuse your kind for their own ends, or at least try to. Both you being a half-elf and the…other as well, though I must say it does pain me to not share the knowledge of your existence. However, I am a man of my word and shall acquiesce to your request. Now, let us be off – to Jazra’s!” the head priest proclaims as he marches towards the entrance of the temple, a noticeable spring in his step. You shake your head in amusement before jogging to catch up with the sprightly elder.

Along the way you hardly notice the looks and stares of the people around you, as you’re fully engrossed in Gaius’ explanations of various subjects, which you are sure he loves to talk about just as much as you enjoy listening. He talks about various dragon races and their powers of shape shifting as well as their quirks – silver and gold dragons are good and noble beasts, while most other dragons, especially the red and black dragons, are to be avoided if at all possible for their trickery or downright evil nature – before launching into a lengthy dialogue on the theory of rifts and why they appear in the world; where they might come from and their purpose. You interrupt Gaius when you reach the fountain in front of the southern city gate, thinking it would be a good idea to fill up on water while you still can. You approach the fountain and examine it and, satisfied that it’s clean, you pull your canteen out of your pack before dunking it into the fountain. You close the lid to your canteen and place it into your pack before resuming your trip with Gaius. Gaius also mentions – like Nilas and Nyx before him – that he, and Kramulet, can bless any article of clothing, armor, and weapon with a blessing, and that having yourself blessed would result in a permanent boost to your magical reserves as well as the ability to learn magic at a faster rate, which sounds very useful to you.

Finally, after a few more long minutes of walking and listening to Gaius, you arrive outside the large home-shop mix with the sign above it that reads “Jazra’s Alchemical and Magical Emporium”. Gaius walks up to the door and opens it, holding it open for you “After you, Milady” he says with a small bow. You smile at the gesture and thank Gaius before stepping inside, the old priest following suit soon after. The first thing you notice about the room you just entered is that it is huge. There are shelves and bookcases lining the walls filled to the brim with scrolls, books, and potions of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Unlike Chap’s General everything is neatly organized and labeled – you see some labeled “Minor Draught of Magical Reserves” or “Potion of Stoneskin”, scrolls that launch fireballs, improve magic crystal knowledge, and all sorts. As you examine the room you also notice a large counter at the back of the room, but with a large glass case displaying magic crystals of various types. All-in-all it’s a very impressive setup.

Gaius smiles at you and gestures for you to follow him as he moves to the back of the room and, rather nonchalantly, walks behind the counter and opens a door behind the counter. “Jazra, my old friend, it is Gaius! I have brought someone who wishes to help you with your experiments, and I believe you will be most pleased when you discover who, and what, has dropped by!” Gaius yells as he opens the door. You hear some shuffling from behind the door as you walk up alongside Gaius and wait a few moments before from behind the door an elderly male cat-person steps through the door wearing a purple and gold wizard’s robe, not unlike Gaius’. The cat-person’s fur is a faded black, with many streaks of grey littering the coarse fur. You also see that the short hair on this man’s head is a grey color as well, further hinting at his age. When Jazra steps out from behind the door and spots you his jaw nearly hits the floor, same as Gaius’ did minutes earlier back at the temple. The stunned cat looks first to you, then Gaius who merely nods with a smile, then back at you before approaching you.

Jazra, still silent, walks up to you and grabs your right hand before shaking it vigorously and saying “A rift touched, here! I never thought I would live to see the day. Oh, it is such an honor to meet you, dear – my name is Jazra and I am the owner of this shop and an old friend of Gaius. Please, may I inquire as to your name?”

A little taken aback that yet another person seems to know of your condition, but amused at this old man’s enthusiasm – which makes you wonder if all old people are this excitable, and knowledgeable for that matter – you respond “Colette – and it’s a pleasure to meet you, Jazra. Um, I already asked Gaius this, but if you could not spread around rumors that I’m rift touched I would appreciate it; I don’t really want people to know that if you don’t mind” you ask before finally withdrawing your shaken hand from the excited old cat.

You see Jazra’s tail flicking about back and forth behind him excitedly as he replies “Oh, of course, of course! I understand completely; my lips are sealed. You said you wanted to help with my experiments, correct? You would be perfect, please follow me” the old cat-mage excitedly gestures you and Gaius inside the back room before turning and entering himself. You follow Gaius into the back room and notice that there’s a wooden chair in the center of the room surrounded by magic crystals of all colors – red, aqua, gold, yellow, grey, black, and so on – and around the room on various desks sit magnifying glasses, notebooks, sheets of paper with notes and drawings on them, and other odds and ends.

Jazra breaks you from your thoughts and observations as he turns around and speaks to you “Now, I don’t know what Gaius has told you but I assume you know the gist of it; I will need you to sit in the chair in the center of the room while I channel the magics from the crystals surrounding it”.

Gaius interrupts Jazra for a moment “I will help; after all, two heads are better than one”.

Jazra smiles and nods to his old friend before continuing “After which we will transfer the build-up of magical energy into your body. You will also need to drink this special concoction of mind which will open your mind, while leaving you coherent enough to understand my words as I ask questions” Jazra finishes as he produces a purplish looking liquid contained in a small glass jar.

You look at the jar warily, unsure of what to expect or if you really want to drink such a thing. An idea pops into your head and you speak to Gaius and Jazra “Gaius, you said this experiment was to see the…natural affinities of creatures, right? Well, what if I told you that I, well, could kind of already see these ‘affinities’ that you think exist?”

Both the old priest and alchemist stare at you with dumbfounded looks for a few moments before Jazra, with barely contained glee, asks “D-dear, are you telling me that, without any magical aid whatsoever, you can see these natural affinities?”

You nod slowly in affirmation, which causes both Gaius and Jazra to yelp in joy before Gaius asks “Tell me, my dear, what do you see? Explain to me in every detail – this is very important, groundbreaking even!”

“W-well, I can see things regularly as they are now, but I can also ‘shift’ my sight and see the magic in the world. Everything – every creature and every object – that I’ve ever seen has some sort of magic coursing through it. I’ve always referred to them as strengths and weaknesses; everything gives off a radiant, pulsing color. The color that pulses is the magical element that the creature or object is strong in” you stop for a moment to enter your aura sight and look at Jazra, who is strong in brown earth magic and weak in yellow thunder magic, then to Gaius, who is strong in violet non-elemental based magic and weak in dark grey void magic, before continuing “for example: you, Jazra, are strong in earth magic; therefore you have a resistance to earth magic and take less damage, and also you should find it easier to cast earth based spells. However, Gaius here is strong in violet magic and should find it easier to resist the effects of non-elemental damage such as from magic missiles, and likewise have an easier time casting such spells”.

You continue speaking, with both the old human and cat-man hanging on your every word like it’s gold “There are also weaknesses to these strengths that I see, which take the forms of cracks and fissures along the form of whatever I see that are fainter in appearance than the radiant pulsing I see. Again, using you Gaius, and Jazra as examples I see cracks along Gaius that are dark grey, meaning a weakness to void magic. If you were to be hit with a void spell such as singularity, it would deal much more damage to you than normal. You, Jazra, are weak to yellow thunder based magics” you finish your explanation to the two men, who merely nod and gape. Jazra, however, scrambles over to one of his desks and grabs a notebook and quill before furiously writing down everything you have said. After a minute of writing Jazra stops and turns to you, a twinkle in his eyes.

“Is there anything else that you see, dear? Anything at all – this is simply incredible! This could be the find of the century!”

You’re about to shake your head, but remembering your encounter with Lula you say “Well, there is one thing. For a brief moment on another person I was able to see…threads, almost like webs, that were very small line their body when they received some extra…magical energy. They were very small and seemed to be carrying something throughout their body. I wasn’t able to see it for more than a moment, but they seemed to glow faintly as well, similar to the magic I see in my other sight”.

“Interesting” both Jazra and Gaius say at the same time, before Jazra takes the lead while gesturing towards the chair “I think this warrants further testing; please, Colette, if you will”. You nod and set your pack, quiver, and bow on the ground next to the door before making your way to the chair and sitting down. You watch as Jazra places the purple jar on the table, much to your relief, before turning around and saying “I don’t think this will be necessary after all, unless of course you want to use it”. You shake your head vigorously, grateful at not having to drink some strange liquid.

Jazra chuckles at your reaction before moving, along with Gaius, to the outside of the crystal circle before both men start to focus. You watch as they start to glow dimly in a plethora of colors as they seem to be channeling the power of the nearby crystals. They then start to walk around the circle, drawing power from even more crystals as they move in proximity to them. Then the dim glowing starts to become brighter as they channel higher levels of spells from the crystals – you instinctively enter your aura sight and watch as the old men’s’ bodies light up with magical energy. You focus on them as they move closer to each other and you almost jump in joy as you think you can see the small threads…before the magic hits you.

Jazra and Gaius both finish gathering their spells and energy before unleashing the raw magical forces from the crystals and their bodies directly at you, though in a non-damaging form. When the magic hits your body and it absorbs the magics, you feel absolutely super powered; your blood burns fiercely with the transference of magical energies, at which point you gasp in utter shock before losing the ability to focus altogether. Still in your aura sight, you grip the arm rests of the chair tightly as your vision is flooded with what you see.

The world around you melts away before your very eyes, leaving nothing but the magic in its wake; where there were once bodies and walls now there is only pulsing magic and glowing fissures. You look out in awe as you seem to look out for miles, passed the city of Kilnhaven, and passed the valley, the forests, the swamps…everything. You look up, then down, and see nothing but magical energy flowing through the air around you…and then you see swirling masses of pure magic.

Rifts you think as your mind seems to home in on them. You see hundreds, no, thousands of rifts everywhere; some blinking in and out of existence every few seconds, some every few minutes, however, others linger and you just know that these rifts are permanent. You feel a tug in the back of your mind as you gaze upon the rifts, urging you towards them like it’s instinct…like you need to get closer to these rifts – as if your very purpose in life was to reach these rifts. You try to bring your mind closer and focus on Kilnhaven, noting the permanent rift nearby, and another one far below the city in what you assume must be the sewers. However, near the rift in the sewers you can see a large magical pulsing and watch it as it moves about, but are unable to determine a form thanks to your current predicament.

Suddenly your mind is drawn back closer to where your body sits, and it focuses in on the air itself, which you can see small, flowing magical threads everywhere. In what you assume to be small objects you see the threads beneath the pulsing and the cracks, and beneath what you think to be moving people you see the threads. You focus in on these threads and see them as clear as day, and at what lies beneath; the threads themselves glow with pure, clear magical power. You watch the figures in front of you intently, focusing on the threads – your mind homes in on these web-like threads and you watch as pure magic courses through the figures like blood. Your mind then homes in on the small, still objects around you and you observe the same stream of magic flowing through them, then to the air around you which again is home to the magical threads that course magic through them.

Magic. Pure. Source. Life. Everything are the only thoughts that enter your mind; you know that these threads are the source of magic in everything; they absorb the magic around them and carry it through the air, the living creatures, and the still objects in the world.

“-ette…-olette…Colette! Colette, child, can you hear me?” you hear Gaius’ voice over what seems like a vast distance, with you barely being able to comprehend the words. You nod slowly and hear Gaius again “Good, good. Tell me, child, what do you see?” you hear him ask.

You respond slowly and succinctly to the question “I see…threads…webs…everywhere. They carry…pure magic…energy…to everything. They are…the source”.

“Astounding, simply astounding!” you think you hear Jazra’s voice over a long distance. However, your mind wanders back to the threads as the power of the added magic courses through you.

Choices
Choices A, B, and C are special choices. Only one can be chosen!

A. Reach out to one of the small objects nearby and overload it with magical energy (Rift Ability: Magical Overload (20 MR each use) learned). You see the threads that house the lifeblood of magic in the world and add your own magical reserves to it and overload it with magical energy, causing the object in question to explode. (Can only be used on non-living, inanimate objects such as bottles, knives, doors, etc. Must touch the object to work.)

B. Place your hands on one of the nearby living objects and add your energy in one spot to the threads (Rift Ability: Magical Suppression (25 MR each use) learned). You see the magical threads in living things and add your own magics to it in a single, concentrated spot causing a backup on the magical flow, blocking the magic entirely. (Can only be used on living beings. Blocks the user from using any magic for ten minutes. Particularly dangerous to magical beings and monsters. Can only be activated by hand i.e. Colette must get within melee distance and touch the target)

C. Add your energy to the threads in the air around you, increasing the magical energy passed its natural limits (Rift Ability: Magical Shockwave (35 MR each use) learned). The threads in the air around you carry magic like anything else, and by adding your own magical energies to the flow you overload the energies around you, culminating in a powerful shockwave that deals minor damage and knocks down and stuns anything around you for a short time.

Character/Environment Interaction explanation
The Character/Environment Interaction system allows you to interact with the world around you as well as interact with Colette or other characters in the story. Want to have Colette tie her hair up? Then choose this along with the main choices. Want her to stow away a stone, or tie up a bad guy with a rope? Go right ahead! Maybe you're in the middle of a fight and feel that clothing is too cumbersome. You can put on make-up, put clothes on and take clothes off, kick over a bucket, slap a succubus' ass.
Don't go too crazy, though. If it's a bit outlandish then unfortunately I might not be able to use it. Other than that, be creative guys and gals!

Magical Sensitivity: Allows you to see magical strengths and weaknesses of beings and certain objects while making your erogenous zones much more sensitive, increasing arousal and pleasure at a faster pace.

Magical Sensitivity (Threads): Thanks to an experiment done by Jazra you can now see the magical threads that are the blood of magic in the world, and can possibly manipulate them.

Source of Energy: Magical monsters and beings that feed from your essence (blood and sexual secretions) gain more energy than normal from you and also suffer a short term power boost.

Dancer: Dancing comes naturally to you and, while it may not have uses in combat or when talking to someone, you find you can learn dances by seeing others dance or learning descriptions of dance.

Mental Quickness: You're a quick thinker when it comes to solving problems and smart to boot! If you're in a pinch you can easily notice potential escape routes, item and weapon combinations, optimal tactics to attack and defend in combat, how best to enter a building, etc. (I'll give helpful information and suggestions on how to handle situations, but not too much).

Charismatic: If you've got it, flaunt it! You know you're pretty, and you've always been a leader. You can use your feminine wiles to seduce both men and women alike and persuade them to your line of thinking, or you can use your natural charisma to rally troops into battle and improve morale with your strong words and character! Heck, you could probably charm the doors of Mordor open and simply walk in! (Increase Charm skill by 1 rank, people will like you more, and desire you more, you will be more inspiring to others when you speak, you're naturally more sexier).

Feedback: When you get too close to rifts there's a chance that you will lose 10 MR and deal minor health damage. Health damage will never kill or knock you out.

Increased Attraction: You received a blessing at the temple of Lequis on your undergarments and now people find you more attractive than you originally were. (Requires Lequis Blessed thong, garter belt, bra, and stockings being worn)

Dual Wielding Novice: You’ve taken the first steps of learning how to wield two weapons at once. Dual wielding allows you to attack with two one-handed weapons at once, essentially doubling the damage you do. However, at present you are severely lacking in skill and find it very difficult to hit enemies in combat. You need much more practice before you can learn how to properly fight using two weapons at once.

The queued locations aren't really in any particular order. The numbers are just there for listing purposes, so if anyone expresses any interest in visiting the locations in a particular order then I'll be happy to oblige.
