Re: parasite in city

So wait... what does masturbation do? And what causes you to randomly start masturbating? It was briefly discussed at the very beginning of this thread, but I didn't find any real answers there.

Also, it's supposed to come out today right? I'm sorta embarrassed by how excited I am about it.

Re: parasite in city

The previous demo had a few cheats, such as A and S to cycle between rooms. Are there any cheats to this particular version that anybody might know of?

As for Space Escape...bugs? Guess i have missed a demo or two.
I meant the gameplay bugs, like falling through floors and such.
Unless you're referring to me mentioning an insect enemy at the end there, in which case he showed an idle animation for a wasp enemy, but expliocitly stated it won't be in the demos. D:

check your health bar, it looks like a woman, right?

forget the main bit in the middle (actual health) the outline is your lust meter, it turns red as you get attacked, if it gets too high, she starts masturbating uncontrollably, obviously this can get you killed easily if it happens in the middle of combat, so you need to lower it when you aren't in them middle of combat.

So I've been out of it a little bit, what was the last word on a release?

Re: parasite in city

Not sure how your #1 is more developed than Hounds...unless I've missed an updated demo or two I only remember there being 4 enemies and no dialog at all really. Hounds has a full story and has 8 completely different enemies. All of which are animated at a much higher and sexier quality.

Yea, Unforbidden is very lacking and slowly developed but I'm more excited by that one than Space Escape easily. Just gotta say it...furries just don't do it for me.
space escape and hounds are close together, and while space escape doesnt have much enemy variety, it does have animation variety and much more fleshed out gameplay mechanics, while hounds has the scripted story text and a few extras (like game over CGs that space escape doesnt have yet)

have to completely disagree on the animation bit tho, animation for hounds are good as far as sprite hentai games go, but mistuko's animations are more diverse, they have stages that vary the base animations in itself (2 per enemy), also in hounds some enemies have similar or even repeated animations.

as for being more excited for one or the other or furries being a "thing" or not, thats subjective and has no merit for a game review really.

I strongly disagree, I think it's very important a reviewer points out everything in a game they like or don't like, so the reader of said review can be aware of such things and know if he should avoid it or not. Most people are NOT into furries or chicks with dicks, so mentioning those things in a review lets a lot of people know they shouldn't waste their time. And when it comes to Unforbidden, it's important to mention it is strictly bestiality at the time being, and I believe he may have said he has no intention of any human on human action in the game. Some people may be turned off by that so mentioning it in a review is important.

An example of a bad review, someone who reviews Left 4 Dead 2 and mentions how it's a good shooter with zombies but leaves out the fact the zombies are more like mutants, I mean the bloaters or whatever they are were beyond idiotic. I sadly wasn't aware that it had cartoony zombies and was quite let down after I bought it, but I read the wrong review that didn't mention the cartoony bs. I'm only into Romero's take on zombies, which are just undead humans that are slowly rotting away, don't have super human strength, and can't run or shoot venom from their asses. Dead Island was another game where reviewers left out a few things, well some did. The game started off like a good zombie game, but then it started tossing in super zombies and all of that other crap. However, the real let down in Dead Island was how it had that totally cool, uber gloomy and dramatic trailer, then the game turned out to be rather corny.

Kinda out of topic, but if you've played the first one, you'd know or assume that L4D 2 will have same (or more) amount of that "bs" zombie type anyway...

Re: parasite in city

You guys are way off topic. Even comparing the 'completeness' of other adventure H games isn't really what this topic is for.

How long does DLsite normally take to post completed games? It's been about two days now...

If I had played the first one I would have known that, but I never played the first one. I just picked up the second one last year because it was on sale for 4.99, otherwise I probably wouldn't have played the second one either.

No f'in clue since I try to avoid that site but I remember hearing it took 5 days back when the English version of Street Fucker was about to be released. That was actually the last game I bought on DLsite.

But I do know he recently posted something on the Pixel Factory page about sending him 13 dollars via paypal, and then something about sending him the transaction number of the donation and then he'll send the game out to the donator. I donated 14 dollars, then emailed him the transaction number, and the date and time as he requested to verify the receipt but that was only 10 minutes ago. I also have no idea what he means about later having to register it on DLsite or something? Sometimes I wish I knew Japanese... but well.. Spanish is the language I really need to learn out here in California.

Quite honestly, a game where every zombie is extremely slow and weakened must be boring as shit. The special zombies of l4d made it very interesting gameplay wise.
Also, if you buy game based on a single review by a single person, then you can only blame yourself.

Re: parasite in city

If it had to be we havent had a mass zombie game. Dead rising is close but the AI is just strange beyond belief. Project Zomboid is the closest ive seen to running for my life and still get cornered by hundreds. Though parasite in the city is aracadey so you have to give it a handicap.

Re: parasite in city

Hounds have at least two animations for almost every single enemy. Some more, one less. I find the animations for space escape to be rather...tacky and childish, furry or not. How her tail turns into a heart and the strange yipping noises. If you don't like the look or sounds of a character, of course they should be entered into consideration of a 'review'...of which none of this is, since the games aren't even out yet. You have your opinion and I have mine and we all know opinions are like assholes, we all have them and they smell funny to everybody else.
mitsuko flatout has more diversity m8, theres no preference that can overcome that fact, space escape has richer animations.

as for the sounds and style, again... childish, fury, yipping noises, those are all subjective things, I personally dont like it either, but that has no bearing on the quality of the game itself.
would you degrade borderlands for having cartoon artwork and style too? I dont think any reviewer would, even those that dont enjoy that style.

you are mixing together, as many do, the need for the reviewer having interest in the game with having a personal preference for the game itself, the former is a requirement to make the best review possible, the latter while not necessarily detrimental, will very often result in some form of irrelevant or even prejudicial bias.

a good example of this is player who absolutely love rpg's and particularly sci-fi rpgs making a review on mass effect games and/vs other games, like fallout for instance.
its typical that people who love mass effect regardless of being "connessouir" of rpgs in general or not, label it as "the best rpg" when all that mass effect games have that really stands out from other "good" games is simply the story and story delivery, while other "best" games like fallout have what mass effect lacks and for some reason most reviewers don't discredit it for it, rich and well designed mechanics.

in short: interest is good, but coloring a review with personal taste = bias, irrelevant to the whole.
and obviously no review is going to cover all aspects of a game, no matter how good and experienced the reviewer is, he will however, if he is good, review the base points of interest, engine-mechanics-graphics/artwork/animation/sound-story/depth and so on
In case of hentai games, not that there are actual hentai game review publishers or even formula, if it was MY review I would put in fetish type information such as the type of hentai in it (such as rape, lolis, hermas, kins etc) and artwork(cartoony, pixelated, sprite/non sprite, animated/non animated etc).

ps: apologize for derailing, I have made multiple guides and reviews for several strategy/rpg games and its not everyday I get non troll/fan-hate-boy comments/conversations over reviews or criticism I post, so I felt like indulging the conversation with constructive posters :)

Re: parasite in city

Once again, that is your opinion...not a fact. Either way, I'm done with this stupid merry-go-round argument.
reviews are opinions, that's why you should read as many as you need to get a clearer picture of the game, they are facts relayed through the "goggles" of the reviewer.

just look at it as journalism, the job of the journalist/reviewer is to pass on the most information that he feels is relevant for people to get a mental glimpse of sorts of the game, and decide if he likes it/will buy it/play it.
but ask any journalist, and he will tell you that any reporting requires to be as biased detached as the journalist can report.

Re: parasite in city

Firstly, I played the new demo. I like how stomping was given its own button and as weird as it seems, I kinda like the hydraulics pumping sound when an insect is on her.

Wait, does the heroine even have a name? Maybe I missed that earlier in the thread....

Secondly.....

Someone shouldn't be reviewing a furry game if they don't like furries. Same thing if it contains futa, insects, bestiality, undead, yuri, or anything else they might not be interested in. Because if they try and review it objectively it's hard to take them seriously because their own personal preference gets in the way.

That's why we have tags and things that say "Contains: Furries, bestiality, insects, bondage."

If someone sees that and takes a look at a couple preview screen shots, they can immediately tell if they're interested in the game or not. They don't need a whole entire baised review to persuade them or disuade them in order to try and/or buy it.
