I am really worried about game balance now. Up till now it was possible to get few 50cc30 silver units in a reasonable time and have a decent shot at most event maps. Getting even one awakened unit is a huge effort and after playing for around 4 months it is not something that seems within my grasp.

edit: LOLOL, have you seen Carrie's awakened unit sprite? WTF is that :D

Added the serial codes for the gold rogue Kyuteri and the gold heavy armour Berenice to my signature to increase visibility. I don't know the expiration date for either of these.

Love you Petite, thanks. I didn't have either of them so that opens up some new possibilities for awakenings.

That's really weird how the codes are in English.

Awaken bonuses for two of the most infamous units

Carrie:
1. Atk speed down, damage up - dunno if it's applied only when in battle or shown as applied on the unit info window
2. Full cost return when retreating.
Hmm. Well if the damage up is exceptional, maybe I'm okay with that. Valks are already somewhat fast, so maybe the speed penalty won't hurt too much. Would scale nicely with her skill attack bonus.

That's the joke. Everybody (But me) fed on their Carry's for having low attack, and now she may have one of the highest attacks among gold duelists, lawls. Watch Carry become one of the best golds. And then I will laugh...and then feel bad for everybody else because they had no way of knowing she'd become stronger in the future x.x

Ren:
1. 3% passive team def buff when included in the deck. (Don't have to be actually fielded in battle)
2. 30% skill cooldown reduction for team when fielded. (as before, does not reduce initial cooldown)

So that's that.

Oh please please revamp Ellaine's statz, what's her role now? lich bait? ( ._.) *sadface*


Aaand... Belna the rogue awakened:

1. insta-kill probability buffed
2. sometimes avoids enemy attack, low assassination chance.

And those two are supposed to be passive abilities?
Of course she retains her active skill Assassination III.

Appreciate it Petite, while I have no idea what to do with Kyuteri since I have over 60 rubies, Berenice is another scar on my body since I have to CC her and fail her cost down/skill up one more time ._.

And more leviling to do now I think they should increase drop rate for fairies, and 3cced/3uncced unit for awakening I think its really harsh for most of us.

-1/2/3 blue orbs, from that hellish daily stage.
-200k+ gold for just 1 unit
-3 silver units that are cc'd(so something like 6 silver units since you need 3 as material) or 1 gold unit
-1 awakening fairy with a ridiculous cost

And what you get is a new passive and more levels=more stats?

Well, the awakening system is designed as a long term goal to strive for, not something you are supposed to do to your entire team on first week. Bearing that in mind the cost is not that extreme (whoever tried to get max level in some Korean MMOs would know...). The only problem, as mentioned above, is how well they can balance the content now, when the disproportion between veterans and mid-level players will drastically increase.

Is it already known, if the passive stat buffs for being in deck stacks with prince aura? Hopefully the buff does not disappear once the unit is deployed?

As for Awakening system, for us mid tier player, that's worthless. If i have to choose between leveling a platinum from lv 50 to 70 to awaken it or level 2 other platinum from lv 1 to 50, the choice is easy.

I probably not going to bother with this for at least 2/3 month.

like Lucifer said, the new system is meaningless for new to mid-tier players like me. I just worry how much the impact of new system on the difficulty of future event maps :(

Ok, so there is a nice compilation of awakening skills on the wiki here:

For each class there is a specific ability (not all classes have them), cost modification (ninjas get -5 oO, but most classes have none) and block modification (also 0 for most classes). On top of that each character gets a new ability, which is most of the time unique to that unit.

The abilities are all nice to have, but most of them are not really huge. Passive assassination for Master Assassins might be nice, depending on activation chance. 3% attack to all units from Uzume is also nice, though it is still not clear if it works after deployment. Majority of abilities translate to few % increase of given stat either for all members of given class or the unit itself only.

That leads to having a look at stats themselves. Most of my team is 50cc40 so I can see very well that 1/90 stats are roughly equal to that level. For many units I have exactly same HP and Defense and one point less of attack then 1/90 units. It seems that some units get their stats rebalanced, so for instance my 50cc40 Mariabelle is -5 attack, +7 def, +44 hp when compared to the 1/90 one.

If the stat progression for awakened units is the same as before, we are looking at 60 more levels worth of stats (for platinum units). Right now stats for 50cc70 unit are lower than double the stats of level 1, non CCed unit. Let's say however, that levels contribute to 50% of unit stats right now. 60 new levels, compared to already existing 130, means we can expect a maxed awakened unit to be 25% stronger than 50cc70. It is much, but compared to the effort needed - not humongous.

My bottom line here is, that unlike the fears I have expressed earlier, awakening system is shaping pretty well and is not a huge threat to game balance. It offers a natural progression and is definitely not as broken as black unit base skills.

I also do not agree it is off limits to people who do not buy a ton of gems. 200k gold is like 2 - 3 days of Monday daily farming, 100 gems is somewhat similar for Tuesday one. Doing the event maps you can expect to easily get three cced silvers (their type match is a different story ofc) and getting a unit from level 50 to 70 is three time as much exp as getting it from 1 to 50. Rough but doable. I don't know if getting the orbs will be extremely hard, but I doubt that. All in all, without spending any gems, I think you can expect to awaken one unit a month.

Very good point you give here, maybe i need to wait and see the max stats of awakened units before going further with awakening.
Maybe the gold units are the best in this system ? (the gold Iris awakened have more power than my 50CC50 gold Iris, and if i understand well bella can one shot with arrow ?)

But well of course maybe a lvl 99 Nunally or Desupia can destroy the solar system in one blow too :p

I knew hanging on to some of my males and leveling them a bit would come in handy soon :p Damn, I might need to keep one of those male archers now instead of feeding them to Spica. Only one that is CC'd there is Vallery, lol. So it's still a pretty easy map. I got 19/20 on the first one first try with only Prince and Julian (Non cc'd) because I didn't know it was male only units, was pretty funny.

40-2 Male gift daily


Also thank crackers for those plat armor drops from the event. Just got my Iris from 44 to 52 with one of those + 3 fairies. I could have her maxed with one more. Woulda taken me forever otherwise.

I hope the +2 cost on HA's isn't too bad. I mean it makes sense with them being able to block 4 units to have their cost raised, but it'll mean they can't be deployed in some spots now (Fairy daily comes to mind, when I could barely place a HA in time as is). Well I do have a CC'd soldier now to kind of temporarily take over for that. I feel even worse rush maps coming in events soon~ Apparently the tutorial girl can attack everybody she's blocking upon awakening? Maybe it won't be so bad after all.

In other words, you can stack 1.01x, 1.03x, 1.05x, 1.19x if you have all the right units. For a whooping 30% attack boost. (Probably)

The other huge thing is increased drop rate. Like a certain to be awakened platinum bandit now increases fairy rescue drop rate by 3% + 3%. *oohh~!*
Then there's the magic gem increase and all sorts of stuff. Gotta collect them all~

I noticed that too, glad I have Monica now, will need to remember to equip her on magic crystal/red gem farming. People with Ceria are lucky. Sadly my Monica will probably not be awakened for a while, gotta focus on main units first. Seems King Pirates don't have a class passive so she's low priority. 3-5% is pretty low anyways, especially if it only modifies the existing drop chance instead of just adding a flat 3-5% increase. They should really mention which it is...

Reminds me of that trick where they say drop rate increases for certain units during events, but the drop rate to obtain that rarity of unit is still the same :p

I'm sorry for Anna, but we should be able to choose whose unit art is displayed on the main interface. As it is right know they are all wasted.
When completing a map a random unit among you party should be displayed too.

(Aegis team, hire me, u know u need me :p(?))

To be specific, non-cc gold ninja Hien, since silver ninja does not exist.

Attached: Best 5 stamina I ever spend. (Usually it's no drop though)

Trivia:
I recall someone said that Aegis finally decided to call black Eris, Saint Eris ...
And a priest's awakened class is called Saint class. Result?
Back to Gold Saint Eris and Black Saint Eris.
