You forgot defense.
Oh, silly me. So yeah, without skill, Hores would do better on tanky enemies, but small fries have low defense to begin with, so I stand by my second point. 1/2 attack dealing scratch at 300 defense goes for both of them anyway.

That attack speed loss though... it's like Charlotte could do all of Hores' work in half the time.

The thing is... I'm a collection whore too :p
My team is more or less balanced and with a lot of different units but I lack the duelists to deal with black onis and liches T_T

Actually, only Charlotte does scratch damage (27 damage), Hores does 46 damage at AW1. (Same difference xD )
Why am I so obsessed with 300 defense? Lich, Efreet, and a lot of other end game bosses has 300 defense.

Small fries have low defense to begin with
If Hores 2 shots goblins, and Charlotte 3 shots, Hores is better than Charlotte.
The reverse is also true, if both take same number of hits to kill, then Charlotte is better.

Reading the below is a waste of time.
AW1
Charlotte: 469 * 1.19 = 558 / 2 = 279 - 300 = scratch damage
Hores: 583 * 1.19 = 693 / 2 = 346 - 300 = 46 damage

AW90
Charlotte: 577 * 1.19 = 686 / 2 = 343 - 300 = 43 damage (x1.2 = 51)
Assuming Hores's AW growth rate attack is same as Carry
Hores: 776 * 1.19 = 923 / 2 = 461 - 300 = 161 damage
Requires Charlotte attacking 3 times faster to do more damage than Hores

Going back to skill activation, attack ignores armor.
Charlotte: 686 * 1.2 / 2 = 411 damage (x1.2 = 493)
Hores: 923 * 1.2 / 2 = 553 damage

Requires Charlotte attacking 12% faster to do more damage than Hores. Which she does, hence she's better during skill activation.

Updated the post in my signature with the spoiler drop rates. The 50/5 map is better than Phalanx 2 for platinum fairies if anyone is interested in those and Nenya more than Ricca. The plat armour drop rate is pretty poor compared to past events that dropped them (guess they wanted to make the Monday map relevant with its 0.8 drop rate per 24stam, which wasn't too impressive compared to the event maps with 0.72 and other assorted goodies).

It's a percent. A character with 10 magic defence reduces magic damage by 10%. For example, Carrie will take 450 damage instead of 500 from a regular lich.

A lot of silvers (Calliope and Elaine), Stray, a spare Bera and a useless plat Karma on the very bottom.

Tried 60/5 map 4th time and got 1 Plat HA and 1 plat Fairy. While i do not get Nanya which is what i want i am still happy.

Slightly late to the party, but one more huge difference between Charlotte and Hores, is that the former has a skill with short duration / short cooldown, whereas Hores has around double the duration / double the cooldown and double the initial delay.

I have been using Charlotte instead of a princess (which I don't have) and 12 seconds of skill was usually enough to take the high def target I aimed at (only time that didn't work well was on final Sorano event map, with Efreets). With her relatively high cost Hores can sometimes not get the skill up in time, and most likely you will get to use it only once per battle.

EDIT:
I just realised something that I never thought about: is it possible to get skill-ups and cost downs if you don't get a level-up when you feed units to each other (not rainbow/time fairy)? I don't recall ever getting a cost-down for Hector and Russel in any of the instances they didn't receive a level up, and I can't find any information on the wiki on whether a level up is necessary.

The fact that u can feed a unit to a max level one supports this as the only purpose would then be to gain skill lvls or cost reductions.

If u are talking about the map with 2 or 3 liches, then the answer is Chloe or Anya.

First of all - third healer. It is very hard to do this map with just 2 unless your party is super buff. Secondly - need better AoE, so Noel, Pales and maybe even Vallery. Annihilating the final push before Liches is the crucial part of this map. Finally - magic tank, probably in form of Chloe. You might even want two. On Royal Castle Recapture (the map with one lich) you can place your magic tank in backrow, where he is safely handled by three healers. On this map however you want a magic tank in first row, to get first few volleys and a second in backrow, near healers (as you likely want 3 out of 4 front ranged spots filled with mages).

Final word of advice - set different goals for now. Final story mode map is beyond comparison harder then anything else in campaign, your team is sort of long way off from being able to conveniently handle it and there is no special reward (other than a great sense of achievement). Attempting it now would be a waste of resources. I will add that I have cleared this map few months after clearing all other missions.

Having said that - you need a third healer either way, so as a long term goal this is what you can work on.

After spending 7 sacred crystals, I finally got Aria to -2 cost after feeding 4 copies to herself. Now I can forget about these awful Dragonewt Invasion maps, and their awful drops, and focus on the things that truly matter.

The online preorder is currently full, but you can make a reservation in case someone cancels. During the previous winter Comiket, they only provided a black silhouette for Minerva, so there's a possibility that they might do this again for the black summoner.

Hater. But in all seriousness we have been getting a lot of "petite" characters as of late. I voted twice and will vote again (For B). I feel kind of bad for C because I think it's a pretty good design, but in comparison, monster girl....soooo, B.

Grats on finishing this part of Dragonewt as well. I'm at 290 Dragon Crystals so I'm almost done as well. Drania is so close I can taste her~

Regular Unit: 100%, 50%, 25%, 5%
Rainbow Fairy: 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%

Skill 1/5: 2/5, 3/5, 4/5, 5/5
Skill 1/10: 2/10, 3/10-5/10, 6/10-9/10, 10/10
Skill 1/16: 2/16, 3/16-8/16, 9/16-15/16, 16/16

Rainbow Fairy and Unit Comparison:
Skill Blue (i.e. 2/5>3/5):
2 units: 75%

Skill Orange (i.e. 3/5>4/5):
2 units: 43%; 3 units: 57%

Skill Max (i.e. 4/5>5/5):
4 units: 18%; 5 units: 22%; 6* units: 26%, 12 units: 45.9%, 20 units: 64%
*Event Unit (70/7 map); 6 sacred crystals (14stam rank 120~139): 0.56** rainbow fairies (30/3 Spirit Rescue Mid-tier 28 trips)
**1.12 with Seria (platinum bandit); 1.4 with AW Seria

Compared to a regular unit with the same skill, a rainbow fairy's success rate is a 50% increase from 2/5>3/5, a 100% increase from 3/5>4/5, and a 400% increase from 4/5>5/5.
