I'm so unlucky, It's been a week, but I still get no Charlotte at all. Still can't upgrade my 50CC42 CR-2|3/10 Charlotte
Omg your charlotte is the same as mine CR-2 3/10skill
Well there still time i tried again and again, manage to get 1 just now but no CR / skill....
Guess next time we got a farming event like this we shouldn't bother doing it if its a completely new unit.

On the bright side 11 tins cans 4 pirate total gonna need these pirate to aw Claire so i'm good (all that left archer which will be farmed in Lian map)

I decided to ignore Charlotte and got only one copy for my collector vibe.

I already have well raised Hores, she has max cost but I rarely use her anyway. although I hope for her revival someday, some cost reduction would be welcome.
Before the overhaul, magic fencers were usable despite cost since their stats were pretty high. Now they are mostly an utility class like ninjas so u need a low cost to justify deploying them :S



Mmmmm Paula's aw is a bit.... idk, it's not bad taking into account she has high, ranged aoe attack and undead are plentiful. But it does not combine with a bishop's skill at all T_T

I'm also having difficulties finding situations where I would really want to place Charlotte in. It's not that she has no uses but when asked whether or not I want to spend that much to put her in... maybe not. She was briefly useful when I was trying to 3-star the 40/4 map though. Does Charlotte even perform better than ninjas when it comes to ranged damage though?

Regarding Paula I'm pretty much with Altrius. Yay for one less silver mage. Now if only I could get a non-silver archer or anything in that category...

Magic Fencers aren't affected by damage nullification (10-50% chance of an attack bouncing off if defence greater than attack) like ninjas against heavily armoured opponents, and can switch to a magical attack with their skill.

Their primary advantage to ninjas is that their superior stats meant you can deploy them in your front lines, and they won't get clogged up by high-defence enemies (Chounin Hina works around this by dealing 15% true damage, whereas Saki and Azami have to pray that they deal an instant death attack with their skills).

Charlotte used to have high HP and defence that I used her as a substitute for Unicorn Knight Dahlia when I needed another front-line duelist to handle physical damage opponents (or magical ones if I needed a substitute for Princess Lilia), but now she needs to be awakened into a Rune Lord at AW61~ to have the same stats she used to as a CC70 Rune Fencer. It used to be that a Rune Lord Charlotte was so buff that you could have her tank a whole army of black goblin archers, and she would emerge victorious if you had her exchange blows with them. Now I don't know if she's capable of doing such a feat anymore.

Well that depends on the enemy. AW Charlotte hits for 70% with her ranged atk which is a little higher than a ninja and using her skill she switches to magical so she can tear apart some armours before having to duel them, unlike ninjas.

But they overlap quite a bit, I really think their ranged atk should be always magic to throw in some variety.

I see, maybe I should try using her more. Lately I've been hitting a lot of rush maps making low cost units a higher priority though.

And yeah I agree with TieSKey, Magic fencers would be better if their ranged attack was always magic. Actually makes more sense that way as well. Frankly I'm treating her more like a physical ranged unit, her treatment on the magic side has gotten especially bad after I got Erenia since it feels like Erenia practically does everything Charlotte does but even better when both of them use their skills. Only drawback is Erenia is even more expensive to put out.

I do not agree. It would be harder to position Magic Fencers well if only their ranged attack would be magical, and what about their skill? What would it be?. They are nice and solid class now and shouldn't be changed at all.
For having 100% magical attack we have Princesess.

To top it off, she's only a Platinum Dragon Knight. Shits going to be crazy once a Black-rarity Dragon Knight and Dragon Lord's Skill AW is introduced. The developers put themselves into a corner and would have to make the Black-rarity Dragon Knight really broken or they'll end up disappointing people if it's not better than Erenia. I'll be honest that I was hoping for Erenia a lot when I saw the white glow when I rolled the gacha a week ago, but Mia is good enough for me to have.

I had a Charlotte from one of the Gold Rush events.
I had 52 crystals.
I now have 43 crystals (not including the one from today's scratch) after spamming her map from this event over and over again because I lack a melee ranged unit plus Charlotte is just so freakin cute.

She is now 6/10 and fully cost reduced. I think I'm satisfied.

Please note the cost on dragon knight -.-, and usually gacha unit its better than event unit >.> (in term of skill)
Isn't anya also another of powerful unit with that 35 cost ?..

And 1 more day left i give up on charlotte, did get improvement now CR-2 4/10 skill, but she abit too low to be useful for me atm =( had to wait next of her revival maybe in 1/2yr-1yr ?
I'm more into what will be our next event unit class / event type.
I just notice sandra star event --> paula star event.... Maybe we going to get another star event with 2nd week revival farming again as new trennd :p
Or item collection soonish i can feel it..... so far liana + nagi black unit, maybe from now on all item collection = black unit (don't care if they abit weak as long their instant skill is useful)

yeah I'd like if all item collection was black units since it requires the most crystals of all the events also Im trying summons with macros right now since I desperately need to awaken a healer to be able to kill the demon lord in charlottes mission and the amon on the weekend mission. So far I got 2 silver archers which I kind of needed too but I really need just 1 mage

I'm thinking of a ranged magical atk and a melee physical. Their skill would then change their melee to magic (or reverse their atk types) and increase dmg.

That was true before the change but now I think they overlap a lot more with ninjas. The immunity to bounce is the key difference.

This event is a good one for magic fencers (not surprisingly) since there are several types of onis and flans switching between high def and high MR.

Dragon Knights and True Dragon Warrior Anya are the Prince's boss units. The only thing their cost does is to prevent players from making teams only consisting of Erenia (I'll be surprised if someone makes a team of Erenia) and limit their versatility (can't deploy early). Dragon Knights are meant to be deployed later and not early since they are more than capable of fighting powerful enemies. If they had a lower cost (around low-to-mid 20s) then no one would use bandits, valkyries, and maybe princesses. They might as well be Valkyrie+ if they did have a lower cost. Also, cost has not prevented people from using bishops, mages, and gunners. It does limit their usage, but that's what cost does.

I'll be ending this event with a -4, 4/10 Charlotte. I still need to CC her before feeding her the last 2 copies. I hope that she does get the last cost reduction with those 2 copies, but I won't mind if she doesn't get the last cost reduction. I'm glad to have gotten her at -4 since that means I'll be using her whenever I can. I didn't want to use her at 0 CR before, but this event gave me another unit to use. Now I just need to make sure I can get 2 or 3 more copies of Lian and then I'll be happy.

Anyone else planning on watching the Aegis strategy conference near the end of the month? I know Petite is going to watch it. I will watch it to see what new things they have planned for the future and to get a second copy of Lisette. Yeah, she's useless as hell, but maybe they have something planned for her soon if they're giving her out again and I want to get her a cost reduction just for the hell of it.

Anya is great but these dragon knights seem a bit too high cost to me most 30+ cost units can either can either multi block or attack multiple targets dragon knights do neither and no lisette for me dont need another high cost witch maybe if they reveal her aw abilities or skill AW before hand my decision would change

Interesting. I hadn't browsed 2ch or anything to see how good Erenia was when she first came out. I have 4 copies of her sitting in the 2nd rax right now all from I think 7 pulls I had saved up. Admittedly I'm not sure if I would want to use her though. 30+ cost is really steep.

I also tried pulling for Marnie for some cost reduction this past week with the last 5 free pulls I had...and instead I got 2 Elizabeth and an Adelle. Fantastic platinum pull luck but nothing I really was looking for.

That feeling when you awaken multiple units at once and go from 2.7m+ gold to 650k in a day... ugh :(

On another note, my Charlotte is also stuck at the magical -2/3 number many ppl seem to be having trouble with :3 (kinda giving up now - low drop rate + no cr/skill up = :mad:)

I saw the Aigis twitter and there's a priest warrior.

Aigis-sama, enjoy the sacred crystals I wanted to save. I'm finally getting the priest warrior I've been wanting and I love her illustration. I got too many units to work on, but they're the type of units I want to use and I will raise them all. Feng Shui, Rune Fencer, Rear Tactician, and now Priest Warrior. I'll be set for the future after the upcoming event. :D

Thanks for the correction. I'll keep that in mind from now on. I wasn't really sure about it before, but I'll probably take a look into it further another time for better clarification.

Feng Shui and Geomancy are different things (a class of Feng Shui Masters were localised as Geomancers in the Final Fantasy Tactics game, since Geomancy makes more sense to a westerner that at least can discern what the class is about by their title 'geo' and 'mancy'). In this game, it definitely should be treated as Feng Shui; the class symbol is a Luopan, which is what the Gold Feng Shui User uses. Calling it Geomancy would cause players to look that up without being able to find any info on the Luopan and other stuff.
