I can't figure out how to open the menu in battle to eat food, am I missing something?

If I remember correctly you can't use items in a battle, and that the point - build up your strategy

You can only eat food outside of battle. Come on, something's swinging at your head. Do you really think time will stop while you chow down? ;)

From what I know, you can unlock the gallery right at the end of of the game
if you save Gary. What escapes me is why you'd want to save that slime.

Stop asking for a full save. Enjoy the game in English, it's not that hard. And moreover, it's actually kind of fun. The only hard part is
getting the Golden Sword
.

I wish there was a guide for getting the golden sword. all 11 floors. I made it to like 6 or 7 i forget which and couldnt figure out how to progress.

Yup, that was the problem. I was sure I installed the XP RTP before but I guess I misremembered. :confused:

is really not hard? this game have based rng or what?

enemy and ellen have 33% hit but ellen just always got hit and the enemy always avoid
so salty :|

When the hit chance is 33% it's obviously RNG. But there are attack patterns you need to exploit: most enemies are really vulnerable after they do a strong attack (you can get 95% accuracy by investing only 1 or 2 points in accuracy). Meanwhile you need to bring down the "armor" value close to zero and THEN do a strong attack (because the armor value resets after you deal damage to their HP).

depending on what events where canon, if you did the purest run possible, then it's not difficult to make a story for ellen iirc after she goes to the capital.

But if her being a slut is canon, then it's hard to make a corruption game about her and it wouldn't make sense (for scalegarden's theme of corruption).
