I've made this thread to help sate my curiosity about why some people have such strong, negative reactions to futa based content. Being of the side that likes futa content it is hard for me to fathom why it repels some so strongly. So I ask those who dislike futa; What about it causes you to be repelled or turned off by it? I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on it.

I ask that those who do reply in this thread be civil to others when responding to a post and should a more heated debate rise up between certain partys please continue it in a PM to eachother to prevent the flames of war from burning everything to cinders.

Hopefully nothing here offends, from the title to this post and any others I make in future. There was no offence intended.

An argument I heard is the connection between fantasy and reality. The idea to me is appealing because I don't base my sexual interest on gender. But to others who care about gender, the idea is bringing up a grey area to what most people see as a clearly well defined black and white situation, one of the most determinate versions of A or B choices; gender. However, what with hermaphroditism not exactly being rampant, nor fully developed, the idea of seeing a woman with a penis in real life pretty much means, no that's a guy. I hear plenty of admissions from people that they are adverse to seeing guys in their pornography in any way and futas would, for these people listed above, fit into that category.

I can't imagine that's the only explanation. Maybe people don't like the idea of how this has come to happen to the girl, as the cause may be something along the lines of mutation to nearly scientific experimentation, but the concept isn't exactly a natural one. (not saying that I feel that way, we have plenty of unnatural things on this website. *spies up at our logo*)

In most cases of futa, that I've seen anyway. They are mostly hermaprhodite with just the shaft added and the vagina as normal. With the exception of the shaft everything else would be considered female in how they act and function.

A real life hermaprhodite's gender identity is purely up to them if I remember correctly, so they could either go male or female in the end. Now a futa with balls is a different story, this can be considered shemale instead of hermaphrodite which would be a guy and I can see why that would turn away some from futa in general, but I'm more curious about why some seem to fear the hermaphrodite side just as much.

I have various theories as to why, but it is much better to hear it from the actual people and get their input about it to help solidify a few and dispel any of the incorrect ones. I thank everyone who takes the time to post a reply to this thread, I look forward to hearing more thoughts on this topic from others.

I'm pretty sure one of the fundamental differences in gender involves one's chromosomes. The other primary difference would be the ability to become pregnant and give birth. Lactation and body type are incidental.

Modern science gives us a great deal of flexibility in our body. Men can take hormonal supplements to lactate. Sex reassignment surgery can give the appearance and basic functionality of either gender's genitalia. With that said, apart from Arnold Schwarzenegger, men (not including female-to-male transgenders) cannot become pregnant (excepting the rare instances of a parasitic fetal twin).

That means that, in real life, you never ACTUALLY can change your gender, only your appearance. Stick as many feathers up your butt as you like--it won't make you a chicken.

As far as what I find gross about futa... well, I'm a man (none of that transgender stuff, either). When I see porn with a man and a woman, I empathize with the man. I fantasize that it's ME getting to have the great sex with the chick.

In porn involving a futa and a male... well, I would never want to have sex with a girl who has a dick (an option I could have taken advantage of multiple times during my visit to Thailand a few years back, had I any interest). I don't generally like futa on male either, because like others I would sympathize with the man. There are a few cases where I make exceptions (jokermon had some stories with growing relationships that were pretty great) but generally it's not my thing.

Generally I consider futanari female with something extra, regardless if they have a shaft/vagina, shaft/balls/vagina or even just shaft/balls setup. In that last case they need to have breasts though, otherwise it's just a crossdressing man.

On the topic of the large sizes: I like the genre because of that, too. I love seeing women getting stretched to capacity by massive dicks and getting off on it. Since actual futanari don't exist in our world, their size isn't bound by the rules of reality - unlike men.

I've noticed how that bit there seems to be a significant but rarely discussed difference in how people enjoy hentai, porn, and their own fantasies.

Personally I'm the opposite of you there. Oddly enough I almost never emphasize with the male, whether man or monster, and it's even more rare that my fantasies include myself as one of the characters involved or even any other character that is supposed to act as an avatar for me in some way. Well if getting pregnant/giving birth is something that classifys one as female then seahorses have a lot to think about, granted thats another situation entirely, while hermaphrodites who can be considered female in many ways as far as I know are incapable of becoming pregnant.
I can understand why some men would flinch at the idea of futa on male porn, the thought of a throbbing meat rod splitting them in half, would cause most to take pause and think. Though in this case it's more the people repelled by futa on female I'm curious about, since as I view it, it covers both
