have you considered patreon alternatives such as hatreon?
If you mean "considered" as in "have I thought about them", then yes. If you mean as in "would you use them", then definitely not, at least not until Patreon completely kicks us off.
To be real with you, I don't believe at all that Patreon WANTS to do this to us. Everything they've done and said has made me believe that they do care about us adult creators, they're just being pushed by their payment processors, and without those processors Patreon would be dead overnight. They're in just as hard of a situation as we are now, maybe even more so. Even if I didn't have faith in them, there is zero reason to believe that any other Patreon-like service promising complete freedom of content wouldn't eventually end up censoring us anyway - the censorship is all coming from the same place, way higher up the foodchain than Patreon themselves, and short of having at least a few billion dollars to fight the entire payment industry, there's nothing anyone can do to stop it.
Ryuukun - You're not the first person to suggest that, and I'll say the same thing - it's not completely out of the question, but it's not likely considering the amount of work that might have to go into re-implementing them. If there were ever cutscenes that referred to the replaced enemies, those scenes would need to be rerecorded by all the voice actors. Our actress for Alicia is also unwilling to do bestiality scenes, so any scenes involving sex with them would forever go unvoiced, even if they were added back in. If we need more assets for those old enemies, we would also have to take care of that. Maybe the Hellhound replacement ends up being someone else's favorite enemy, and they'd be super sad if it was replaced later. So yeah, i's not entirely impossible to replace them later, but it's unlikely. One final note is that I was already planning on moving away from bestiality after Crisis Point - it's in a super weird grey area legally, and I'm not entirely comfortable tiptoeing around that, not to mention I'm not really into it myself. Non-con is also something I was going to move away from, not for legal reasons but more because I want to move towards sex as a gameplay reward rather than something you get for losing.
As for the second part of your message, I'm not really sure what about that implies we aren't planning on a release soon, but I guess that's not a big deal, since no, we're not gearing up for a final version all that soon. I'd love to say we're near completion - and if I was happier with the old artwork and such we probably would be - but with all of the animations and art being redone and the level design being improved across the board, I'm afraid we're still a ways off. Before anyone complains about that, don't forget that the first 1 1/2 years of this game's development were essentially 100% solo, releasing sizable content updates every month. The only help I got during that time was from Orexius with the tilesets. It's only in the past year or so that I've been able to afford hiring more people to help, and most of them have been doing things that I'm awful at or incapable of (music, sound effects, CGs) rather than aiding in the parts I do, so even now it's still mostly a one man job. Making quality games is a long process, and it's only made longer by my relative inexperience - something that I expect will be MUCH less of a problem in my future work - but with all of the support and love people have given me, I want to make sure Crisis Point becomes the game everyone deserves, not some half-assed thing I rush out because people expect it out soon.
