"Well no big shock he's useless. This place is corrupt as it gets. And not in the demonic way, though there might be some of that too. Anyways, If there are bandits they might just be rebels. Or they were eaten by wasps. Anyways we wait for the new guy cus it pays to have a guide. And gives me new insights into just whats going on.," says Fiera as she heads inside.

Once she was greeted, she expected everything but the daughter concern. "Uh... Who exactly do you think I am?," she asks, raising an eyebrow, "Do you know someone else with flaming hair? Because I'd love to hear all about it. But yeah, no, not here for anyones daughter. Mercenary noble, not servant. Well, she's a servant. But she's my servant. Not his servant. RIGHT?!" She whirled on and glared at Sonja, hair flaring up a bit.

Was good to keep Sonja on her toes sometimes.

Fiera must have gone delusional or something. Though she was certainly right about one thing, this place was just a festering pit of suck and fail.

"She has gone off the deep end again. I am clearly her knight in shining armor!

With her armor newly repaired and polished, it was certainly an excuse to show herself off. Getting Fiera riled up would be a bonus gift.

"Then again, I am just as confused as you guys all are.. So you mind telling us more about this lord taking your daughter away?

In a somewhat muffled tone, Sonja would try to whisper over to Fiera that they might find themselves some more servants. It might be worth looking into having a go at a little upheaval and installing Fiera as the lord instead of whatever gutless pig was here already. This would hopefully serve to calm Fiera down and get her to think a little differently.

*If we can figure out how to get these people on "our" side, we could take this place over I think.*

Judging by the pathetic captain of the guard, the lord was probably another pushover that would have no idea how to handle being pushed back. Sonja of course had no idea of whatever Fiera was on about with her dealings, though getting Amber was probably worth it. It would not take much to convince Sonja to fight the whole town if it meant getting Amber "for Fiera". The obvious reason was that Sonja would want Amber to show her saviour some gratitude, but Sonja did not want to make it too obvious just yet.

sorry guys just been a little busy of late

Fiera's display seemed to frighten the woman a great deal as she simple fainted her body hitting the floor with a dull thud. A moment later a young woman barely into womanhood came around a corner and rushed to her mothers aid. She was attractive enough though young and both Sonja and Fiera could see why the lord would want her. Still with their questions asked the man stumbled over some words till he managed to form a complete thought and spoke it quickly.

"The lord wants my daughter Emily for back taxes. No doubt he would abuse her like some many of the other woman that get sent to his manor." The inn keep thumbed the tray in his hands waiting to see what the duo might do. They could of course pump the inn keep for more information or sit down and have some food and await their "guide".

Sonja would see an obvious opportunity here. Maybe this situation could be turned into an advantage. Wasps and bandits were fodder at best. It would be very likely that either one of them could go with the "guide" to deal with that while the other possibly were to deal with this situation with the lord and this fine young woman who would certainly be better served under the employ of Fiera.

"Something tells me that you could just take over this town, Fiera. The guard here is pathetic if their supposed captain is an example to go by."

Fiera blinked as the woman fainted. "Well that's a silly place for a nap. Not comfortable at all. Well, to each their own."

She stretched a bit, ogling the young lady before looking to her father. "Oh probably. I'm actually here to wait for some guide from that lord before we go kill a giant wasp nest out that ways before it starts messing with people."

She mused a bit, getting a little annoyed with Sonja. Yeah, great idea, say it out loud for everyone Sonja, that wasn't a terrible idea. "Don't be a goofball, Sonja. This is Badaria, humans don't wanna follow someone with flaming hair. And really, someone might over hear you and think you're serious."

She shrugs again. "Anyways we'd like a meal please while we wait. May as well earn some coin to get out of debt hm? I don't suppose you can tell me anything about the town and this lord you so fear? After all, best to know those one deals with? I'd hate to clear these wasps out just to get double crossed later."

An advantage might be here, but declaring it out loud was not best. It'd become obvious later if she decided to try it, but honestly, just saying it in front of everyone like that. She'd just have to hope nobody decided to report Sonja's indiscretion. Just make things harder later. Sounded like this lord's real reason to send her here pro bono might be to keep these folks further in debt. Classy, though she respected the slyness.

Standing stunned for a moment the innkeep stuttered before finding his wits fully. "Umm yes what can I get you today. We have an excellent fresh vegetable soup and fresh baked bread. Or if you wish for a more refined meal we have fresh steak from the butcher. Vanesa can prepare it for you with a side of mash potatoes and steamed vegetables." The soup will cost 1 denari each and the fresh steak 5 denari."

Once they made their choice of meals the innkeep would do his best to answer their questions regarding the town and the current lord. As it turned out the town is one of the trading hubs on the western route to Endus. However sense the alien attacks and the instability of Bardia trade as all but dried up. The next blow was the refugees which brought sickness and crime. Of course the Lord cared little of it as long as he got his taxes. The innkeep swears that he deals in the slave trade which is why he is desperate to keep his daughter out of the lords hands. Other than that the Lord usually dabbles in the typical noble treatment of his people. Exploiting them for his own gain and amusement.

"Soups fine, thank you. And yeah, don't get me wrong, gain and amusements the usual, but you need to take care of your things, hmph. And I'm not shocked in the least in the slave trade. Don't much care for this guy. I best be careful then, thanks. But the wasp issue is more your guys problem though. So that has to be dealt with."

She takes a seat, leaning back in it lazily and fiddling with her clothing a bit. "See how he plays his hand..." She idly takes out the book of magic she had acquired before, and began reading while she waited. Never knew, might come in handy to know something other than burn everything.

Sonja was at this point starting to get bored. This dumpster of a village offered little, apparently. It would seem there was little else to do aside from waiting and seeing what was going to happen once this guide were to show up.

After a short wait two bowls of soup were brought to the table by the young woman. Setting them down she didn't seem the lest bit put off by Fiera's flaming hair or Sonja's physical prowess. After waiting a moment to see if the duo wanted anything else she would depart having collected the money and any additional orders.

With Fiera's nose stuck in a book this left the very bored Sonja with nothing better to do than people watch. A few groups of people would enter the inn and see Fiera and leave but some would find their courage and stay. They would come and go like this for about an hour till one very large man entered the inn. He was tall bordering seven feet and well muscled. His face was hidden by the shadows of his hooded cloak but the obvious bulge in his pants and the size and roughness of his tanned hands clued Sonja in to his gender. He wore what seemed to be an armored coat with a rifle strap over one shoulder and a bandoleer full of bullets over the other. Looking over the inn he spotted them and moved his heavy steps easily vibrating the floor. "You two come I want to get these things taken care of before dinner."

Fiera meanwhile saw pretty much the same as she peaked over her book though her other sense's picked up on something else. A smell a familiar smell. It was sex twinged with the scent of Amber and it was recent.

Fiera nods to the girl with a smile when her foods brought over. "Thanks, sorry bout the scare earlier. I really need to find a fireproof hat. Though that might obscure my rose...," She plucks the steel rose from behind her ear, the metal petals glowing hot from the heat, her spinning it about to observe it with a smile, before putting it back.

Fiera ate and read in equal measure, until a newcomer came over, armed and armored. She shut the book and put it away, before frowning a bit as she caught a familiar set of scents. My my... Best not jump to conclusions juuuuust yet. Plus the possibility of accidentally igniting the Inn in her anger might be considered... Of poor taste.

She got up, and stretched with a smile. "Certainly, I too wish to end this swiftly. I can tell you had fun recently hm?"

Time to see what she could find out as they went. And to consider if he was sent as an assassin as well as a guide...

Sonja would have a quicker go at the food prepared for her than Fiera, mostly because there was little else to do. Maybe she could try to take up reading or something else to pass the time like Fiera does. Probably not going to happen though since Sonja was never really known for having much patience in the first place.

"I guess it is time to go bust some heads now?"

Sonja would get a little more excited at this point as it was clear they were going to get some action soon now. Just from the look Fiera was giving, it was clear that she was apprehensive of this makeshift ally. Sonja would make sure to keep herself between Fiera and this as of yet unnamed stranger?

Sonja seriously considered testing this person right here and right now, he didn't even make a proper introduction. How rude.

The man snorted "Just a whore nothing to special. Come the wasps will be deep in the forest probably a cave." Turning the man walked out leaving Sonja and Fiera to catch up. It seemed this man was very rude but he did look dangerous then again even the mightiest man could be felled by a woman with enough persuasion.

Following the man he lead them out of town with out saying much unless directly asked a question choosing to outright ignore any small talk sent his way. Traveling for about half an hour the man stopped and looked deep in the woods. "This way." Turning he went into the woods drawing a rather nice looking rifle.

Sonja was all for it, a man of action, though the manners could use a little work. Though she was not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed when it came to thinking, Sonja would put it together soon enough that it was Amber that this guy had referred to as "just a whore" not too long ago when they had left the inn. She would remember this and not entirely defend him all that vigorously if they got in trouble.

Fiera must have been lost in her book, to not have immediately picked up on what he said. None the less, Sonja was far more interested in busting up some wasps than worrying about who said what. Fiera would almost certainly figure out the best time and place to address that issue anyway.

Right... Lighting him on fire was tempting but the wasps were significant. She would have to remain wary about this. He struck her as a man of few words. Well. She had ways around that sort of thing well enough...

She moved after the man, getting ready to drop her spells as needed. Well. She'd be happy to drain him silly when done perhaps. Either way it'd be party time shortly. Assuming it was not a trap.

Ooo, but if it was she'd have lot's of food at least. Well if it was wasps she'd still have lot's of food. Wasps had royal jelly right? Bet that was tasty...

They walked on the tall man slowing as he navigated around branches till he suddenly stopped and held up a hand. Crouching he moved into a set of bushes low and slow. It was then that both Fiera and Sonja heard the buzzing though it wasn't close followed by a ragged shout. If they both waited the man would come back and speak with them. "We are here it seems they found some bandits. Poor sods have been egged." He turned back again looking over. "There seems to be about 10 wasps out in the open more in the cave. Very dangerous. I suggest we get more men."

"Well, the guard captain offered 10 per bandit head. Might serve us good to just finish them off and collect their heads. Shame the captain didn't mention which head exactly it was we were supposed to deliver."

Sonja's attempt at a joke was both awful and obvious at the same time. Shifting her tone of voice a little, it was clear that she meant what she was saying now. Maybe returning here later after simply killing off the bandits to collect her prize to deliver back to the captain for a little money on the side.

"If they are anything like the one I took down earlier, I should have little problem taking these things on if you two can pick off the rest. Might need to fix my armor up a bit again, but I doubt they will pose a real threat."

Confidence or overconfidence? Time would tell as it was made clear by Sonja that she felt that she could act as a "tank" of sorts taking on the brunt of any manner of attack these wasps could manage. Between her own mace, the hired gun, and Fiera's magic it was clear that Sonja liked her chances just how things stood presently.

All told the way Sonja saw it, the vote was tied 1-1 as to simply proceeding forward or possibly only dealing with these bandits, returning with their heads to hire more help to deal with the proper wasp threat. Fiera would seemingly have the deciding vote as to how they would proceed.

Fiera looked between the two of them, then at the site of conflict. Close quarters. Heh.

"More men? Good sir, please. You have an army at your back, how many more do you need? You're good with a gun, I simply need you to hang back a bit and pick off any that decide to ignore me.," grins Fiera eagerly, "Allow me to demonstrate for you why it's good to be friends with a fire demon. We're friends after all, right? Oh and, don't stand too close to me. You'll die. Back up. Further. Fuuuuurther. Okay good. "

Fiera stepped out into the clearing and cast her spell. "Everything. Is. FIRE!" And then she ran amidst the wasps, laughing maniacally the whole way.

If Feira was worried about anything surviving the initia cascade of magic she had nothing to fear. Thankfully she had run into the middle of the clearing sparing her companions a very fiery death. Even the charm she had given Sonja would not have spared the girl from the roaring flames she channeled at the moment. From the haze of heat Fiera herself could see the nasty bugs burst, poping like corn exposed to heat. The egged bandits however screamed but even that was short lived as their bodies were quickly consumed by the raging inferno.

Meanwhile Sonja ducked back as the brush line in front of her went up into a raging fire that began to spread to the trees. It seemed Fiera had over done it once more. Not only did they have the wasps in the cave to worry about but now the forest was on fire and Fiera didn't look like she would stop anytime soon.

The hunter meanwhile stumbled back with her and watched a moment before getting to his feet. "Gods damned demons. She'll burn the whole damn forest down!" Raising his rifle he took aim at Fiera yelling for her to stop.

Sonja saw what the hunter was doing. She was not going to allow this to happen. Never having trusted him in the first place, she would only aim to neutralize him opting to simply run him into the ground as she would aim to swat his weapon away. Running at the "guide" that was hired, Sonja would aim to swat away the rifle. If she happened to hit him instead that was a fair result as well. Sonja would protect Fiera at any cost.

(Attack is non-lethal in intent, since Sonja does not have disarm she would attack the hunter directly with intent to take him to the ground.)

Fiera heard the yelling behind her as she easily wiped the field of all possible threats in short order. She looked back and oh. She had miscalculated the distance a bit. Whoops. Well great.

She ended the spell, shrugging a bit. "Well I did say we didn't need more people. Uh, right, I guess I'm supposed to fix that. Kinda can't but I guess I better summon someone who can..."

Pity, it was such a pretty fire too. Well then. She pressed a hand against the ground with a sigh, expending energies to call upon her families mage contacts. Specifically her least liked one, Geryon, the demon sorceror who handled water magics and usually was the one who had to put out her own flames. Great, and she'd hoped to get through this without having to revert to succubus tricks. Well, at least she could use him to help with the wasps during all this.
