1 time out of about 10 I can set XP higher, which will gain 1 character 1 level a week later. Then the address changes. Also, I can't seem to get a hold on Rance's xp at all. So not great.
I wouldn't be driven to cheat at all if this game didn't have super tight time constraints if you want to get all the ladies. It's a lot of "you must do this unintuitive thing on turn 3 or on turn 5000 you get the bad end!" type stuff.
Yes, this game is a HUGE pain in the ass to get most of the things done in a single play. And there's no record, so there's no NewGame+. Plus, there's the whole random events that kinda screw you over also.
For anyone who try to cheat this game. I prefer using SpoilerAL rather than CE since this game use some nasty way to encryted it datas so normal scan will not work.

I tried that out, but I can't read japanese so I couldn't find the right line for Rance. Also, even I had, I would have had no idea what was actually changing.

nope you cant buy her but once you conquered Portugal you'll be able to get her into your harem so i suggest to refrain from using her service till the time comes
also anybody managed to get Cell's other CG? it probably has anything to do with her Misfortune but no idea how
Once you find your money as a baseline, the simplest way to add an offset (and thereby find the others) is to just edit the address and type in +2A (or whatever the offset is) into the address line.
It's not the BEST way, but if you are CE illiterate, it works.
An easier way to go about it is to just look under 2 bytes, your money is is the value - 00, so if you had say.... 3100K, you'd look for 31 in CE, let it change to something else, Example: 2600K, and you'd look for 26, which SHOULD let you find it and edit it to your heart's content.

than going to cheat it out guys. the game's really nothing as hard as other alicesoft SRPG. except you might need to get reload often since you have to abuse absolutely one unit to make your gameplay optimal

I'm near the end of the game now, and I wonder, would it have been possible to save the demon girl army? The Hornet army was a lot cuter than Kabliss and his creepers.
Does anyone know if there is a way to enable the debug mode with the english version? or an SSG / cheat table? Making a cheat table from scratch every time the game is launched is way to much of a chore heh.
i guess it's hard for new people to enter the rance saga because the first titles are a "little" old, like a lot of people, i played sengoku first and then (only because of fanboyism for Rance XD) played the 1-2-3 translations... it was tough, reaaally tough. now if they finished rance quest's TL i'll be jumping with joy.
I just wanted to say how much I love Rance. Every Rance game I've played I laugh and I cheer. I think he may be my favorite video game character of all time.
I've played through Sugoku, Kichikuou, and Rance 4 now. Every one of them was wonderful, although Kichikuou was the hardest (to get every girl).
I spent 2 hours today regaling a girl about Rance's adventures.
