So it turns out that the game worked after I changed the locale to something other than Japanese. Weird.

with the tons of shitty games that come out every month why did you have to mentions softhouse games, some are actually quite good XD

Well SoftHouse Seal controls is horrible (They only good on CG)
But some of animation of H-scene in this DarkStar wasn't that good too
Some sexscene looks weird

Also they should make if the girls is already rape , it fall to the ground
Like Shinobi/Witch Girl
Instead , this one is the girl keep getting rape


So I'm not good on explaining , and sry 4 bad english

yeah i think there was a lot of potential for good animations wasted but i actually liked the game play quite a bit

You know, for as much variation as there is in the physical forms of the enemies, the sex animations certainly aren't that diverse. Who would have thought that extra-dimensional horrors would be unimaginative lovers?

Just going by the demo level, the platforming doesn't seem all THAT bad. Does what you're expected to do get nuts later? Also, are there any sex content in the full game that's much different than in the demo?

no and no. theres literally like 3 or 4 more scenes in the full version and the platfoming is not even there in the 3rd and 4th levels. all it is worth is the gallery really

I must agreed that gameplay is kinda so-so, the animation some are weird and awkward.

Most best thing I see in this game is Art works, lots of them - quite gorgeous compared to other action, platform, side-scrolling H-game I been encounter with(except Noaika , that one also beautiful!). Musta say it's already good at this point.

IMO, What need to focus next is gameplay tweak, better animation positioning(with less sprite re-use as possible). Hopefully his/her next game'll upgrade its quality even more - this's a nice start-up one. :eek:

I think some sexscene looks weird , ankward and unnatural
Perhaps this one is much more west style?
Doesn't feel / giving a rape vibe

But guess that just Me....

Anyway , good gameplay and art:)

When i found out the game needed 64bit i thought i had been very poor ....

The second download link is for us 32-bit CPU users. The dev must've had a 64 bit system but forget that his system is in the minority.

Personally, I don't think platforming isn't as bad as some people make it out to be. She just moves too slow to platform at all, but most platforms are right next to each other, so it's hard to miss most jumps.

My biggest gripe is the entire game is pretty much horde mode. It's like, every 2 steps you take 10 mobs spawn and you have to stop and shoot them so you can make your next two steps.

I totally agree with this, especially the last part . It's too bad that there isn't a story to go with it and more stuff going on in game threesomes etc.

This is really good, definitely a purchase for me... what detracts from this game a little is the complete absence of story or the authors development comments.

Checked the wordpress blog, but there is only around 5 posts, and none contain game background or creature theories. So I can't even guess.. guess I'll have to make up my own stuff. :rolleyes:

^.- You're gonna need to be more specific. Are you particularly looking at the sprite sex? Or that it is a sidescroller? Or the sci-fi style? Cos there are games which may fulfil only one without the other.

Either ways, there's a stickied thread on the main page for Hentai Games, can't miss it. Link here anyways. Generally games most alike to Dark Star (meaning both a sidescroller and having sprite sex) are under one of these tags.

Adventure/Sidescrolling/Platformer/Any Action (be it standalone Action or Sidescrolling Action/Platforming Action/etc)

Hahaha yeah that would have been better I think, apologies for the misunderstanding. Our Dark Star lady is pretty knife-chinned herself though. ;) Anyways, wish I could be of more help, good luck with your search! I don't recall seeing someone categorize H-games by art style yet though. Maybe some more experienced H-game veterans can point you to the relevant circles. All I can think of immediately are the Illusion games with more realistic women, Real Play for instance.
