Another question for the jp vets, and I'm sorry if this was answered earlier in the thread: is it worthwhile to level our left-hand and body pieces if we're only focusing on mega-bosses? If so, should I level my elemental gear too?

Related to the above question, do you guys enhance your Ladles and Pot Lids, or just sell em? Seems like a (huge) waste of time, but I'm not sure (also, I'm not very good at math or I'd just figure it out myself ).

Not a japanese side player so I'm not sure this is the best use for them but I have been using my pot lids as enhancement fodder for the copper and silver bars I've been getting. Since +1 adds 1000 in value to silver bars each level and 500 to copper bars whereas the pot lid is only worth 100 by itself, I've been upping my copper bars to +1 and my silver bars to +2 before selling.

I've got a question, I haven't been playing as active as I would like so I didn't mind until now but... leveling cards is supposed to be incredible slow or I'm doing something wrong? Is there a way to make it faster? So far I assume the best way is to farm one of the earlier stages that has 2 card drops instead of the usual one, but still...getting R cards to level 40, 4 times, seems like it will take forever

There are specific quest locations that give you better cards more often (21-2, for instance). That speeds things up. I can level a SR to max in about a day just doing that quest plus taking the cards I get from assisting with mega bosses. Admittedly, if you are still working through the quests in order most of them don't give enough high quality cards often enough to make it feel fast to level.

Some people swear by quest area 1-1 or 1-4, but for me doing only those is a recipe for burning out of the game. Also, keep in mind that whenever you start a quest it resets the next time you will get your +1 stamina tick. So while mathematically quest area 1 seems appealing, its both staggeringly boring and probably not as profitable as it first appears. At 120 stamina quest 21-1 only interrupts your stamina regen 4 times. Quest 1-1 would interrupt your regen FORTY times.

I plan to max the UC cards out of...pity? I dunno. I don't see them being overly useful so long as the game itself is stagnant.

Also.
For the longest time I thought Navi looked like Hatsune Miku. It's not until like five minutes ago did I notice that she only has a single...hair long-tail thing.

UC cards are fairly bad and will be replaced fairly early. You may use them for a few days, but after that you'll have enough (R) cards to use them instead. I fed all my UC cards to other cards a long time ago.

So I was just reading about the update information they posted.

It's almost here! Lord of Valkyrie Update #1 will be arriving on February 26th.
Features include
- All new characters
- Monstrous new bosses
- Fresh login bonuses
- Special "Fountain of 4 Elements" quest line
Login and check it out this Thursday.

Does fresh login bonuses mean I won't get my weapon master Riza card because the updates on the 26th and I'm still 8 days away from 30 days?

It seems unlikely that Riza is getting taken off the schedule entirely (unless other arrangements are being made). Otherwise, that will leave everyone with only 2-3 of them which would be incredibly lame of them.

It kinda makes me glad I never went on break. I generally have removed even high end comrades when they are inactive for over a week so I imagine other players do the same. It would kinda stink to have to build a solid comrades list all over again especially since the cream of the crop constantly have full lists.

New bosses will be great so long as the rewards scale properly. Having a boss that's 3x as hard but still only drops generic SRs at best won't be compelling.

I'm also sorta hoping that somehow this doesn't make it even harder to get to ++ with the cards that aren't super common. Its already taken me months to get 2-3 of certain (R) cards from the lotto. If there are just more dumped in the same pool that will be aggravating in completing the current list of R++ and SR++.

Hey, does somebody know what to do with login tokens at this point?
Is it better to save them (and with them the gold tickets) for the update or does it not even matter?

I am 4M-ing Riza atm and I need another one, because the one Riza+ is at the exp-limit now, but I hesitate to give away my gold tickets before the update.

I hope the update WILL actually come on the 26th this time...

Also for elemental equipment do you guys intentionally farm up the fire/elemental armors? Currently I am just hitting the recommended map for making money to spawn them(7-3 I think), but the Rocs don't spawn very often.

It could change in the future patch, but right now the most important is to get yourself fire armor and shield since there's almost no other options for a fire set.
The elemental shields are as strong element wise as any other item in game currently. The rest of the armors you can get better versions later on in the game. Wind and earth you get just doing quests, water I've only gotten from winning rank 8 arena so far, which might be tough for a new player, so I recommend you pick up water mail if you can.
