Re: Sex MUGEN 2.0
Sorry guys but I'm a complete noob at this. I've downloaded the starter game but I dont see any characters like kuromaru or any raper for a matter of fact. Did I downloaded the right thing? Would somebody be so kind as tell me how to set up this game properly?
Sure, it's a bit tricky.
Can you tell us WHICH starter game you downloaded? FYI, mugen is a heavily customized/customizable game, so there's a framework in which you add the characters/stages/etc you want. Usually, most of the versions of H-mugen have Kuro and other rapers pre-included, so chances are that you may have downloaded a non-H version of mugen. Check the OP for a few H-mugen packs, which should contain the rapers you want (then we can talk about including them into the mugen you have, or you can just use that H-mugen version instead). You can also try google-fu-ing the characters you want and then we can help you include them into your current mugen.
Also I can't add characters. I tried adding koneko from highschool dxd and she's not in the selection screen...
Ah, to do this, you need to add the character folder (the Koneko one) to your mugen's character folder (it contains all the characters in your mugen, should be labeled as 'chars' or 'characters' or something). Then you need to edit your 'select.def' file in your data folder to let your mugen know WHERE the character is.
To do this, open up the file and browse to where you can see all the characters listed--they should look something like this:
Schlussel 1.82, stages/yusuke_44_lowres.def (older)
Senna, stages/yusuke_20_hires.def
Tifa_L2, stages/Tifa_L2.def
Just type in 'koneko' somewhere there, with the same format. The second part of that is telling the game which stage the character will play on in arcade mode. I usually just put the character name there if I don't care, as a placeholder (the game will just randomize if so), but if you do, go check out your stages folder and pick one and add its name in the blank: 'stages/____.def' Then save it, reopen your mugen and the character should appear.
Lastly, keep in mind your character folder should have the same name as the .def file within it to appear in your mugen, and both should be mirrored by the name you put in your select.def file too. So for example, if I put in "Tifa_L2" as my folder name for the character but the .def file inside it was labeled as "Tifa", it would not appear, and similarly if I had "Tifa_L2" as my folder name but "Tifa" in my 'select.def' file, it would also not appear.
Hope this helps--Mugen is real tricky, and often the hardest part is finding new H-characters or modding/developing your own (e.g. coding, spriting, animating), so this is just the beginning. It's real fun though, and the joy is exploring more and more about mugen since there are new rapers/victims and sprites made every so often. Let me know if you have more questions and I'll try to answer.
