Not sure how to tag this one, to be honest. Came up recently on new announcements.
It's using the RPG maker engine, and the basic combat, but you're actively trying to lose battles.
The story, and I'm completely making this up from cutscenes, without paying any attention to moonrunes or mechatranslate. So this will likely be very wrong, but hilarious:
You're a rich trader's son. One day, you get ambushed by bandits, who through trickery manage to defeat your (cute, female) bodyguard.
Miraculously, you escape, because the bandits are too focused on fucking your guard.
Later, you get a visit by the bandits saying "we wouldn't mind doing that again" asking you to get them more adventurers to touch butts with.
Conveniently, your father has just decided it's time for you to learn the trade, and start running some nearby routes.
And since he's too busy, you can pick your own bodyguard. Three guesses who a horny boy who's friends with some bandits will pick.
So you wander around town trying to get girls to "guard" you, head out with your little trading wagon, and oh surprise, get repeatedly ambushed.
In combat, your options are "watch / ability / item" - watch does nothing. Ability debuffs your guard, items buff/heal your enemies.
Your guard automatically punches enemies. Enemies automatically punch back.
Beware that your actions will generally deplete your "trust" bar, if that reaches zero, game over for realsies.
If you reach the end, great, your trade makes money. If you get defeated in combat, rape scene with your guard, and bandits give you money. Win-win!
In town, there's various people that can teach you advanced techniques or sell you items, and you can try and find more guard characters.
According to the description, some items are used on specific routes/characters to sabotage them.
Each guard character has one regular defeat scene, and one special scene if you clear a character-specific condition. (likely a particular item sabotage)
Supposed to be 11 guard characters in the final game, demo only has 2 playable, though.
The first 3-choice query on startup is difficulty, my guess is it's the usual easy/medium/hard, referring to how much of a fight the girls will put up.
Overall, it's perhaps a fairly "static" game for RPGMaker, considering it's only essentially CG cutscenes and rudimentary combat clothes destruction (proportional to HP),
but I found the mechanics simple and unique enough that I figured it was worth a callout - and hey, it'll be out soon!
