So what alternatives left are there besides tumblr? I've been interested in starting h-dev for a while but not if those who follow me have to have an account just to see if I updated.

I've actually contacted pretty much every h-developer I know who is using blogspot in the past few hours.

I was hoping to start a new community that would allow H-developers to host their content without the restrictions, and help them kickstart, advertise and promote their projects. It would also contain things like forums, easy ways to give feedback, tutorials for people who want to produce their own art/games/erotic smut.

Tumblr doesn't allow a lot of stuff (Loli, bestiality, guro, etc), I was looking for a blog that does and was hoping that was Blogspot. Hmm. Probably have to go to some foreign blog/art site at this rate.

What about fc2 blogs? I know eluku and pixel factory use them. The only person I heard of ever getting shutdown(I think) was the Nanocrisis/ Hounds of the Blades guy.

Oh I was half talking out of my ass, sorry. I just assumed it went along with the no loli and bestiality. Maybe it's still fine with guro, I don't really keep too up to date with it since I stopped using it.

I'll look into fc2.

Well the no loli I rule was well assumed since they cracked down on shota not too long ago. What surprised me was the guro remark. I'm going to go check Tumblr' s rules again since it's been awhile.

Some of the guys I follow don't really update with sexually explicit images. Kyrieru for example is good with silly sketches or just sketch work that may show breasts at times, but is never pornographic.

Not any that I remember anyway.

More or less the same for Vosmug, Erogi and Wolfenstahl. I'm not concerned. If something happens, they'd find a way to let their fans know.

Well Kyrieru has his own domain and Vosmug is on WordPress so I guess they'll still be safe, for now at least.

It's blogspot trying to make the soccer moms happy.

Soccer moms are the bane of anyone's existence if they hear it irks some upper class mom's existence. Brainless and lazy (outside of telling junior his running around in circles is helping his teammates), they rally for or against issues without actually researching them.

That and they're bad drivers.

Owning your domain name is one way to protect yourself from losing all your traffic/visibility. Blogger or tumblr get censorious? Open domain management panel, switch domain servers, set up in new host. It's a small expense but worth it.

Google has been increasingly anti-porn for a long time now.

Thinking google was more open , I hate the puritans .... fortunately they have the monopoly of internet communications (they should be the most open as example for the net neutrality)
