Re: [Lunasoft] Dungeons & Heroines

OK, finished Mind Hacker, and what a waste it was!
- No story to see character in a day to day basis.
- No progressive corruption, and of course no story to see characters as they become more and more enslaved.

Feels like an alpha game done by a Japanese Akabur: I am so disappointed, seeing the wasted potential, it could have been a hit in the training/mind corruption genre, and I love the Ar Tonelico mind exploration parody! :(

I hope this one will be better, but I already see the same half finished feeling I will have with that one...
No one said anything about Mind Hacker being a corruption game except yourself... so if you got your hopes up because of your own misconceptions don't complain about the time you wasted after you finish.

Well that's an enslaving/corruption (mind corruption) game, and yes in the end all girls become corrupted and enslaved.
So I'm not disappointed on that, I'm disappointed on the fact that the game felt rushed (the on/off switch in the enslavement process, mainly), and could have been so much more ;)

And I fear this one will have these flaws too :/

Like I said, that's your problem for setting your expectations on something that wasn't what you made it out to be. The game also happened to be Lunasoft's first ever release dating from 2012, so no surprise it's not going to be the "perfect enslaving/corruption (not) game" Manamana makes it out to be. It was never touted as a game about slowly breaking down the girls in the first place, not that you bother reading the blurb for 18+ games.

They have options in this forum for hiding threads which aren't of interest to readers, since you've already made up your mind that the game is going to be bad why bother keeping it visible for you?

Yup, and I was disappointed by that. I wasn't trying to search for the perfect enslavement game, you know, but just something just maybe a little more than an on/off switch + cg when you reached the last level.
Mind hacker was unexpectedly rich gameplay wise, as much as poor in the rewarding section, story wise, they weren't that far from a good game.

Oh come on...
This is a forum, we discuss current and upcoming games.
And seeing their past game, I am pessimistic about their next one. I would be glad if I'm wrong though.

I was going to say I mentioned it, but looks like my post explaining the 'flaw' of Lunasoft didn't get through back then - -a.

But it's what you experienced, there's no in between period.

It's capture -> some training -> corrupted. (or in Mind Hacker's case, capture = corrupted)

Well, in case of MH the instant enslavement is the point of the dungeon, but the lack of interaction outside of H-scene makes it less impactful (I mean, after the prologue set up their relations, a short scene showing how the girls chance in their daily life would've been nice, especially once you hack a pair that have shared scene)

Oh OK, yes these are awesome games, but they are high quality big production hrpg. I wasn't expecting that level of content from Luna Soft :p

No one is forcing you to play something you've already decided is going to be disappointing no matter how it turns out. Since there are plenty of other alternatives out there which fit what you're looking for, why not play those instead?

Have you tried
http://www.ulmf.org/bbs/showthread.php?t=25227&highlight=kedamaq

(and his previous 2 free games, mentioned in name in that link)

- -a It's not exactly good->evil corruption, and closer to mind breaking in many regards, but I think the process of it is done fairly well.
(Especially when you realize it's the result of MC's choice)

I never wrote that.

It's not an exclusive choice, and I'm waiting to see what kind of game will be D&H.

Yes, I plan to play it.

Re: [Lunasoft] Dungeons & Heroines

Game release delayed until late November.

Probably not surprising given the lack of progress and time remaining between now and the original release date.

I guess they initially wanted to re-use pieces of their previous games (the standing pic system from magical girl, the dungeon from Mind Hacker, etc) but ran into some trouble.

Re: [Lunasoft] Dungeons & Heroines

An update to the game's site, introducing 5 characters (4 girls 1 guy) and 3 sample voices for each girl (one 'normal' and 2 erotic voices)

Btw Harley, wanna put up the link for the game's page on that first post?

Re: [Lunasoft] Dungeons & Heroines

Game page updated with 9 sample pictures. 2 of them featuring the dungeon (including 1 pic of a monster house), 1 featuring the shop interface and the remaining 6 which are 18+ pictures featuring a variety of situations.

It's going to be the same system as Mind Hacker, only closer to the classic rogue RPG archetype (there was no monster house feature in Mind Hacker). The delay in the game's release was to redraw the girls and large-scale pictures from scratch, but the game engine doesn't look all that different from Mind Hacker.

Re: [Lunasoft] Dungeons & Heroines

Unlike the other H-game makers, it seems Lunasoft do product updates on Saturdays rather than Fridays.

They've released the details regarding the bonus content for players with the download edition, hard-copy edition and one for all versions. It's an extra costume unlocked from the start. Not crucial to winning the game, but a nice bonus nevertheless.

The thief costume variant is definitely better than the bikini armour version provided there are traps which can be used. The mascot costume is just for cosmetic variety from the magician costume which is unlocked quite early in the game.
